The autumn wind rustled, blowing down withered leaves.

Time had advanced to October, and the mission in Black Dragon City was nearing its end.

The final outcome was just as Colby had said: the Underground World of Black Dragon City simply pushed out a scapegoat to take the blame. Not even Ronan and Winston, two core mid-level figures, were affected in any way, giving the investigation team a perfunctory response.

Jacob was not surprised by such a result; this was the way of this world.

With his current status, he was temporarily powerless to change this situation. Besides becoming stronger, Jacob had no other choice.

Zade had obviously anticipated this outcome long ago. He looked at Jacob and June, saying, "You've been away for a month. You two should hurry back to school. I still need to go back and write the summary report for this investigation."

This was the real challenge.

After waving goodbye to Zade, Jacob looked at June beside him. "Senior, are you going back to school?"

"Next time, you must give it your all."

"Okay, Senior." Jacob replied somewhat noncommittally. "I also look forward to our match."

After they bid farewell, Jacob prepared to go back to school first. It had been a long time since he had seen Teacher Long, and Jacob missed her dearly.

However, it was still early, only 10 AM. Jacob decided to go see Kyle first.

Half a month ago, Jacob had received a call from Kyle. He remembered Kyle tearfully telling him he had broken up, but Jacob was very busy at the time and had no time to deal with Kyle's situation.

Actually, Jacob was still a bit worried about his good friend's state. Now that he was back in the Capital and had free time, it was a good opportunity to go see him and find out if Kyle had emerged from the shadow of his breakup.

"Hey, Kyle, where are you?" Jacob dialed Kyle's number and asked.

"I'm in the training room." Kyle's voice revealed a hint of surprise. "Jacob, you're back?"

"I'm back. Which training room are you in? I'll come find you." Jacob said.

"No need—where are you now? I'll come find you." Kyle said.

"I'm downstairs at Teaching Building One."

"Then just wait for me downstairs at Teaching Building One. I'll be right there."

After hanging up the phone, Jacob waited for about ten minutes before he saw a guy wearing sunglasses and dreadlocks walk up to him, take off his sunglasses, and wave and shout at Jacob. "Jacob!"

"Kyle?" Jacob's tone was filled with uncertainty. He carefully scrutinized Kyle in front of him, finding it hard to connect him with the Kyle from a month ago.

He had a full head of dreadlocks, dressed in trendy hip-hop attire, and walked with a swagger, looking quite stylish—very different from his previous appearance. But, surprisingly, he actually looked quite handsome.

"What is this...?" Jacob looked Kyle up and down and asked.

"Jacob." Kyle's lips curved into a smile, clearly satisfied with Jacob's reaction. "I've decided—I'm going to be a rapper Rock-type Gym Leader!"

"A rapper? Are you sure?" Jacob looked at Kyle suspiciously. He knew his good friend very well. Could he be a rapper when he had never studied music?

"First, give me a performance. I'll judge after that." Jacob said.

"I always cram at the last minute, cram at the last minute!"

"Stop... stop... You sang very well. Don't sing next time."

"Jacob, I'm just kidding, just messing with you." Kyle also said with a laugh. "I'm still in the learning phase. Once I master my skills, I'll definitely impress you."

Jacob quickly pulled the embarrassing Kyle away. He truly hadn't expected that Kyle, in his lovelorn state, would choose to embark on the path of a rapper.

However, Jacob actually supported his good friend's choice. After all, they were young people; if finances weren't an issue, they should do what they wanted to do.

Although Kyle had no foundation, his family was wealthy, so even starting from scratch now was still not too late.

"Are you really planning to be a rapper?" Jacob and Kyle found a place to sit down casually, and the two friends began to chat.

"Yes." Kyle nodded, then sighed, looking up at the sky, his expression becoming serious and earnest. "I want to change myself—start working out, learn to rap, train my Pokémon. This time, I must win! Jacob listened to Kyle's grand words, feeling a slight emotion. Indeed, an unrequited love can make a person grow faster.
