Chapter 625: Thunder Against the Sea

John stood on the island, his six Pokemon already selected.

He raised one hand and threw a Pokeball.

ROOOAAAAR!!!

A fierce dragon’s roar erupted toward the heavens!

The moment this figure appeared, the scorching sunlight became gentle. Black clouds all vanished, not a single raindrop falling from the sky anymore.

The first Pokemon John deployed was Shiny Rayquaza!

Ordinary Rayquaza’s Air Lock ability could suppress normal sunny weather and rain. But Mega Rayquaza’s ability had upgraded from Air Lock to Delta Stream.

Absolute weather control authority!

What Land of Endings absolute sunshine? What Sea of Origins absolute rain?

The moment Mega Rayquaza appeared, Primal Groudon and Kyogre’s eyes immediately showed subtle changes.

In their own separate spacetime dimensions, they were absolutely invincible.

Even Rayquaza wasn’t their opponent after Primal Reversion.

However, the Rayquaza before them now seemed far stronger than any Rayquaza that Groudon and Kyogre had previously encountered. At minimum, in their timeline, that Rayquaza couldn’t even achieve Mega Evolution.

Sensing their Primal Pokemon’s agitation, Maxie and Archie were considering whether to proactively initiate battle.

But the two glanced at each other. Seeing neither made the first move, both refrained from actively issuing commands.

Seeing that the two opponents facing Rayquaza overhead neither proactively attacked nor showed intention to cooperate, John threw another Pokeball.

The Pokeball opened mid-air, and a white and black-furred Zeraora leaped out!

"Zeraora, you’ll battle Kyogre. Confident?" John asked .

This wasn’t an impossible task.

Currently, Zeraora’s level had increased to 100, max level.

The higher the level, the more difficult each additional level became.

Even those Legendary Pokemon who lived hundreds or thousands of years struggled to reach max level 100.

Because Level 100 represented the ultimate limit of power!

John could boldly declare that his current Zeraora had reached this species’ absolute combat capability limit!

No Zeraora more powerful than his could possibly exist.

Now, with Kyogre’s Sea of Origins ability neutralized by Mega Rayquaza’s Delta Stream, its combat power wasn’t at peak condition whatsoever.

"ZERAORA" Zeraora bumped fists with John.

Aura power connected between them.

Zeraora’s combat capability increased dramatically once more.

Zeraora’s only chance to defeat Kyogre lay in the trainer advantage.

The gap between John and Archie had to exceed the gap between Kyogre and Zeraora.

Having received enhancement, Zeraora immediately dove from the sky toward Kyogre!

Archie, seeing John deploy Mega Rayquaza yet only send a mere Shiny Zeraora to attack, immediately felt insulted and laughed angrily.

"Fine! Then we’ll destroy your Zeraora first!"

"Kyogre, Origin Pulse!"

Deep blue energy condensed before Kyogre, then erupted forward like a tidal wave of pure oceanic force, powerful enough to flood continents.

Zeraora didn’t dodge. Instead, it accelerated directly into the attack’s path.

"Plasma Punch!" John commanded.

Zeraora’s fist ignited with crackling white lightning. At speeds comparable to cruise missiles, it drove its electrified strike straight through the water-type attack.

The Plasma Punch connected with Kyogre. White lightning struck its body, and immediately scorching numbness spread throughout its entire form. After the numbness came searing pain.

Kyogre had genuinely treated Zeraora’s attack like an ordinary Pokemon’s assault, maintaining zero defensive preparation.

The effectiveness was abundantly clear.

Conversely, Zeraora’s approach was different.

Having rich battle experience against various Kyogre encounters, facing Kyogre’s attacks it employed only one strategy, dodge!

Zeraora’s Mind’s Eye, Detect, and Aura all activated simultaneously!

It analyzed Kyogre’s attack trajectory, path, and speed completely thoroughly, then used its own frightening speed to evade.

Even though Kyogre’s water waves transformed flight patterns mid-air, Zeraora still easily avoided them.

Turning back around, Zeraora crossed both arms before its chest, channeling white lightning.

"One Million Volts!! GO!"
