Pokemon: The Gameboy Effect

Chapter 623: Rainbow Rocket Assault

Chapter 623: Rainbow Rocket Assault

Team Magma’s Maxie, Team Aqua’s Archie, Team Galactic’s Cyrus, Team Plasma’s Ghetsis, and Team Flare’s Lysandre.

Leaders from the Hoenn, Unova, Sinnoh, and Kalos regions’ evil organizations, all stood atop the castle.

When had Team Magma, Team Aqua, Team Galactic, Team Plasma, and Team Flare all joined Team Rocket?

In those other worlds, no one could stop their ambitions. They’d actually succeeded in controlling Legendary Pokemon to conquer entire worlds!

And now each commanded apex-tier Legendaries.

John stood nearby, jaw dropping in shock.

Blue’s personality was nothing like Red’s. Or rather, seeing Team Rocket triggered his PTSD?

John had originally planned to wait calmly and see what the World Pokemon League Tournament officials would say about this situation.

But thinking about it, the main venue had been occupied by someone else’s castle. How could the tournament even open? No matter what, they needed to drive out Rainbow Rocket first.

Having decided, John also headed toward Rainbow Rocket’s grand entrance.

However, unlike Blue who charged straight in, when John reached the door, a system notification appeared before his eyes.

[Enter dungeon instance "Rainbow Rocket"?]

[Recommended Entry Level: 100]

[Note: This is a restricted-type dungeon. All Pokemon can only be deployed once. Regardless of whether they lose battle capability, they will automatically be recalled after battle ends and cannot be deployed again.]

[Note: Each battle can use a maximum of six Pokemon.]

[Note: This is a restricted-type dungeon. No items of any kind can be used.]

What caught John’s attention most was that inside this dungeon, all Pokemon only had one deployment opportunity. After battle concluded, they’d automatically recall and couldn’t be sent out again, not just if they lost, but theoretically whether John won or lost, all Pokemon could only fight one battle.

"Somewhat interesting," John immediately grew intrigued.

Without this restriction, he genuinely wouldn’t feel much challenge.

Shadow Mewtwo, Rayquaza, Ho-Oh, Mega Gardevoir, Lugia, Urshifu, six Pokemon would suffice to steamroll all of Team Rocket.

But facing potential opponents like Groudon, Kyogre, and Mewtwo-level entities, he definitely needed to strategize carefully.

After considering, John selected to enter the dungeon.

The illusory screen before his eyes vanished. Simultaneously, the surrounding spectating trainers also disappeared together.

It felt as though John alone approached Rainbow Rocket’s main gate, intending to solo-challenge the entire Rainbow Rocket organization.

The scenery before his eyes transformed. John appeared on a small island out of nowhere.

Beside him stood a Pokemon Center supply station and PC system for changing Pokemon. Ahead, the left side showed a blazing volcanic mountain continuously erupting magma. The right side displayed roaring ocean waves!

Above the volcano, the sky was scorching with sunshine, burning daylight that seemed intent on roasting everything.

Above the ocean hung heavy black clouds with endless torrential rain.

These two bizarre weather systems’ boundary was precisely the island where John stood.

And creating this bizarre weather’s source was none other than old friends.

Groudon and Kyogre.

Groudon was immersed in a pool of magma, its body’s originally black patterns now displaying dazzling golden brilliance, those were Primal Reversion patterns!

Kyogre floated in mid-air, bathed in heavy rain, its body displaying bright golden Primal Reversion patterns, carrying a mysterious feeling like the vast ocean itself!

Both appeared in "Primal Reversion" form, these two Pokemon’s ancient appearances, and their strongest state.

Groudon: Land of Endings.

Kyogre: Sea of Origins.

Should have expected this. If evil organizations had successfully ruled their worlds, they’d certainly have developed their Legendary Pokemon’s battle capabilities to the absolute peak.

John quickly located the trainers controlling these two Legendary Pokemon nearby.

Maxie and Archie, one stood on a small military aircraft, the other on a small submarine. Both stood with arms crossed, arrogant and confident, awaiting challengers.

"The first battle is a double battle?" John stroked his chin thoughtfully.

He checked the Pokemon currently with him.

The dungeon restricted him to using only six Pokemon maximum, so John only had six Pokeballs remaining on his person. All other Pokeballs had automatically transferred to the PC.

Opening the computer, he examined his Pokemon list.

John didn’t directly deploy his strongest Pokemon immediately.

That would be meaningless.

Save the powerful Pokemon for later stages.

For battling Maxie and Archie, he’d select—
