Chapter 4 Jeonju Elementary School
Chapter 4 Jeonju Elementary School
When Jiang Youzhen left the store, he could no longer see the two people at all, but he was thinking to himself, "Two little kids going out like this, without any adults with them?"
Their clothes were clean and tidy, so they must be locals. And normal parents wouldn't let two kids run around outside like that.
Although he felt a little regretful, Jiang Youzhen didn't think too much about it.
After strolling around outside with her father, she was caught by Jiang Jingshu as expected when she returned to the film set.
Mads Wu was lectured by Jiang Jingshu. These two, father and son, were unfamiliar with Jeonju, yet they insisted on going out. One was a pure foreigner, and the other was a semi-foreigner. If they were scammed, they would probably end up counting the money for the scammers.
Jiang Youzhen escaped unscathed, probably because he was the one who was taken away, so Jiang Jingshu only cared about whether he was bullied outside.
After Jiang Jingshu calmed down, Jiang Youzhen, at Mads Wu's urging, reluctantly stepped forward and pulled Jiang Jingshu aside, whispering, "Mom, there don't seem to be many people on set today. Weren't we supposed to start filming?"
"We're still communicating with people to arrange the extras. Tomorrow you'll change clothes and go with the director to Jeonju Elementary School to film the first scene. We can't film it today. I've already talked to the director about this," Jiang Jingshu gave an explanation, while also reassuring Jiang Youzhen to go back to the hotel to rest.
Upon hearing this, Mads Wu's expression turned somewhat strange.
So, since he was going to return to the hotel anyway, why was he scolded for taking his son out to play?
Completely baffled, Mads-Oh took Kang Woo-jin back to the hotel. This time, he didn't go out again but stayed in the hotel room, continuing his acting lessons with his son.
It would be easy to get Kang Woo-jin to accept this minor role in the script; just have his son stop making that grumpy face.
.
The next morning, just as dawn was breaking, Jiang Youzhen went to Quanzhou Elementary School with the film crew. It was still early, but there were already quite a few children in the classroom.
Jiang Youzhen changed into the distressed school uniform provided by the crew. His fair face was covered with dirty, earthy yellow makeup. The protagonist's family was not well-off; in fact, they were poor. However, Jiang Youzhen always had a stern face, exuding maturity and composure. He didn't look like a poor kid at all.
Sitting in the crew's rest area, Mads-Oh was adjusting Kang Woo-jin's expression to make him look less "composed" in front of the camera. However, he soon noticed that Kang Woo-jin's eyes were a bit off, and he kept glancing to the other side.
This piqued his curiosity, so he turned to look. "Anders, what do you see?"
"Um...it's the boy I saw at the cake shop yesterday," Jiang Youzhen hesitated. He had seen the little boy at the cake shop yesterday.
Seeing that the other person was also wearing a school uniform, it was clear that this was an extra hired by the director, and if nothing unexpected happened, they were students from this elementary school.
Jiang Youzhen subconsciously looked around the person, but didn't see the little girl, so he had to give up.
The first scene wasn't filmed smoothly, not because of Kang Woo-jin, but mainly because sitting among a group of listless elementary school students affected him. The director didn't blame Kang Woo-jin, since the fault wasn't his, but instead turned to say a few words to the school teacher.
If scolding children isn't appropriate, then scold the teachers instead.
Three hours later, after the scene was filmed, Kang Woo-jin changed out of his school uniform jacket and sat in the rest area, his face regaining its calm and mature expression. Mads-Oh sat next to him and reviewed the filming process.
However, he was interrupted after only a few words.
The father and son looked at the little boy who had suddenly appeared. After recognizing him as the person who had taken the cake and left yesterday, Jiang Youzhen did not say anything.
The man hesitated for a while before finally managing to finish his sentence.
So it turns out he came to express his gratitude.
Jiang Youzhen waved his hand and casually replied, "It's okay."
However, this person seemed to have started talking and was no longer nervous. Mads Wu even thoughtfully prepared a small stool for him.
"I brought my sister back yesterday to thank you, but you had already left. Luckily, I ran into you on set today. I didn't expect you to be an actress."
"I'm not an actor, I'm just here to help out" and incidentally earn some money to fund my studies abroad.
"My name is Jin Zhiyong. I don't know your name yet. Are you a foreigner? You have very beautiful eyes."
"..."
Hearing this praise from a little boy gave Jiang Youzhen a strange feeling. He pursed his lips and introduced himself to the boy, "My name is Jiang Youzhen. I'm not a foreigner. My father is of mixed Chinese and Danish descent, and I look more like him."
Mads Wu, who was standing to the side, even pointed to himself with a smile.
Jin Zhiyong bowed slightly and greeted the elder with a slight bash in his manner, then asked curiously, "I heard them say that you're a Hollywood actor, is that true? Can I get your autograph?"
Hearing this, Mads-Oh smiled happily. He wasn't particularly good at Korean, but he was very enthusiastic about signing autographs.
After getting an autograph and taking a group photo, Jin Zhiyong, knowing how well-off Jiang Youzhen's family was, felt envious but also glad that coming to befriend him was a good decision.
To everyone's delight, Jin Zhiyong's parents came to pick him up, along with the little girl they had met yesterday.
Mados-Oh greeted them warmly, speaking in broken Korean in a very endearing way. He kindly took the little girl's hand and gently asked her name.
Kang Woo-jin heard her clearly; she said her name was Kim Tae-yeon.
Mads Wu smiled and said "hello" to the little lady, then picked up the camera next to him, pushed his son over, and said that it was fate to meet her, so he took a picture to remember the occasion.
"..." Jiang Youzhen was shy, and when he got a little closer, his mature-looking face blushed.
He took a group photo with the Kim siblings, and at Mads-Oh's urging, he took a separate photo with Kim Tae-yeon, who knew nothing about the subject.
Mads-Wu asked the Kim family for their address, saying he would send them a copy after the printout was finished, and since they were new friends, he would also send them a gift.
The more enthusiastic he was, the stranger it seemed to the family.
Under the strange and puzzled gazes of this group of people, Jiang Youzhen couldn't help but sigh and directly reached out to pull his father away.
If we stay any longer, the family across the street might call the police.
Fortunately, the assistant director came over and explained that they had to shoot another scene in the afternoon. The director planned to finish filming all the school scenes today, and since there was still some free time, he told the crew and extras to go eat first.
As Jiang Youzhen walked away with his father, he seemed to sense someone watching him from behind. He turned around, but could only see the little girl hiding behind her father, peeking out half her head and staring at him with a curious expression.
That gaze startled him for a moment, then his lips curved into a faint smile.
