Chapter 333: The Man in the Suit

Although the lights in Carriage Seven were broken, the illumination from the forward carriages was sufficient for the others to see. The players inside the carriage had already spotted that abnormal, purple-skinned infant child, their expressions changing dramatically. Without another word, they all fled toward the front carriages.

The suited men from the front carriages were using weapons to separate the players and were heading toward Carriage Seven when suddenly, all the lights on the train went out!

"Lights on!" Following the order from one of the large men, three powerful lamps lit up inside the carriage. But immediately after, a window in Carriage Six shattered, and the suited man holding a lamp, along with two players, were thrown out of the train!

The rapidly moving train left the screams of the three far behind in an instant. However, those inside had no time to worry about them. Several more impacts followed, creating more holes in the windows, and several more people flew out!

"Fire!" The suited men frantically sprayed the red-eyed monsters appearing in the carriage with their specially-made firearms. But the narrow carriage was not conducive to such action, especially with so many players crowded together.

"Get the hell to the front, all of you!" A large man shot and killed a nearby player.

The other players who had wanted to hide behind the suited men saw this and scrambled forward. The large man turned back, cursing, and kept firing at the car-slaughtering monster!

Inside Carriage Seven, the other players had all taken advantage of the chaos to escape. Only Xu Huo remained here. The man with the suitcase targeted him, "Instead of being a proper person, you insist on being a dog! Today, I'll skin you alive!"

As he spoke, he flung out a piece of black cloth. The thing seemed to have eyes, following Xu Huo as he turned. No matter how he changed or moved his position, it always blocked his vision perfectly, obscuring most of his sight. He could only see things very close to him, above, below, left, and right.

"Did you lure the car-slaughtering monster here? Who exactly are you?" Xu Huo asked urgently.The man with the suitcase sneered coldly, "Trying to stall for time? Useless! Everyone on this train is going to die!"

Xu Huo swung his sword, splitting the black cloth in front of him in two. Unexpectedly, even after dividing, the two pieces remained effective. One blocked his view from the front, while the other wrapped around his face from behind!

He used his hand to pull out the "Tangle-Free Thread" and tied the cloth on his face. Looking up, he saw the man with the suitcase's blade-wrapped whip already striking toward him!

Xu Huo immediately raised the Ox Shield in front of him. The impact sent his whole body flying into the forward Carriage Six. Before he could steady himself, a pair of ghost-like red eyes appeared before him again!

Only then did he clearly see what the so-called car-slaughtering monster was. Like ordinary Mutants, it retained the basic human structure, but triangular bone spurs had grown on its arms and chest. These bone spurs could pulsate beneath the skin, granting the car-slaughtering monster bat-like, super-fast speed!

He blocked the monster's grasping hand with his sword held horizontally. However, under the immense pressure, his hands were forced back against his chest. The car-slaughtering monster's fingers hooked, directly tearing through the fish-skin protective clothing he wore underneath!

Feeling a wound open on his abdomen, Xu Huo backhanded several wine bottles, throwing them at the car-slaughtering monster!

Another sharp sound approached from ahead. He knew the infant child was returning. Even though not a single wine bottle hit its target, he still took out the lighter and set a fire in the carriage.

A large fire blazed in the transition carriage. He pressed the emergency decoupling button beside him, and the three carriages at the rear swiftly detached from the train!

The car-slaughtering monster, originally in Carriage Six, looked back at the detached carriages and leaped back. It plunged into Carriage Seven, tore out the heart of the man with the suitcase, then grabbed the infant child by its foot and lifted it up.

"What are you doing!" A suited man pushed Xu Huo aside, staring intently at the car-slaughtering monster and the infant child in the carriage. He roared angrily, "Who gave you permission to detach the carriages on your own!"

"Tell the train attendants to stop the train!" someone else turned and shouted.

"No need," Xu Huo interrupted them, pointing his chin forward. "It's back."

The car-slaughtering monster, carrying the infant child, flew back to the moving train in an exaggerated posture. It literally flew back, holding the infant child's foot in its mouth, with its arms and legs spread wide. The bone spurs beneath its skin shifted to its sides, allowing it to glide over like an animal!

"Fire!" The large man pulled the trigger again. This time, what shot out were fist-sized balls of light entwined with electric currents.

A group of suited men fired intensively. The sky was instantly filled with countless points of light. The intertwined currents formed a net that caught the car-slaughtering monster. The continuously released electricity still flickered even after it landed on the carriage!

However, the electricity clearly had little effect on the car-slaughtering monster, merely charring it slightly. Ignoring the suited men, it looked up and charged toward the forward carriages!

"We can't let it damage the train's power source!" The large man raised his hand and waved. All the suited men rushed toward the front carriages.

Yet, no one expected the car-slaughtering monster to feint. As several suited men entered the transition carriage, it descended from above, unleashing slaughter in this relatively narrow space. Two suited men were killed on the spot!

"Move!" The large man roared. The two suited men at the doorway crouched down immediately. Behind them, three suited men raised transparent cylindrical guns as thick as a leg. They aimed at the car-slaughtering monster and fired. The black liquid inside instantly boiled and sprayed out, drenching the car-slaughtering monster's back in an instant!

Watching the car-slaughtering monster turn to shield the infant child, using its own back to take the corrosive liquid, Xu Huo narrowed his eyes. An absurd thought arose in his mind: Could Mutants also reproduce?

The next moment this thought surfaced, it seemed reasonable. Mutants were originally human. Although they had partially animalized, both humans and animals possess the instinct to reproduce. It was completely normal for offspring to be born.

His gaze shifted to the purple child—except the child born was also a mindless Mutant.

A few drops of the black liquid had still splashed onto the infant child. Two black burn marks appeared on its leg. The pain made it open its mouth and scream. Though no sound came out, it was clearly in agony.

This obviously enraged the car-slaughtering monster. After placing the infant child back on the carriage roof, it charged at the suited men again. This time, it used both claws and teeth. For a moment, only two red afterimages could be seen rapidly darting within the carriage, followed by screams and blood splattering everywhere!

The large man was the leader among the suited men. Seeing his companions being slaughtered, he charged forward with a cylindrical gun in each hand. However, this time, the car-slaughtering monster gave him no chance to fire. With a flicker of its form, it shattered both guns. The liquid that spilled out instead burned the large man's hands!

Struggling, he pulled out a protective mask and held it in front of him, but the car-slaughtering monster stomped it to pieces!

The large man staggered backward. The car-slaughtering monster pounced forward through the air again, its nails aimed at his abdomen!

"Stagnant Space-Time!" The large man threw a piece of transparent rubber into the air, barely blocking the car-slaughtering monster for an instant. But then, the item was torn in two. Just as he was about to be pounced on, Xu Huo intervened from the side. Using the Ox Shield to block the attack, he leveraged the force to carry the large man, leaping over the tables and seats!
