Chapter 276: I Have a New Game

Chapter 276: I Have a New Game

With a "gulp" sound, the box slid down the bear's throat into its stomach, and it patted its belly contentedly.

At that moment, Xu Huo had already taken the Crimson Sword in hand, slicing a cross shape in the air. The sword energy severed two bear claws, and he immediately followed behind the energy, leaping onto the bear's body and delivering a sword strike to its abdomen!

The giant bear, having reacted, ferociously lowered its head to bite him. However, Xu Huo didn't dodge at all. Instead, he flung the Ox Shield into its mouth, pulled the long sword, sliced open the bear's abdomen, and dragged outward. Red, steaming intestines and organs came gushing out!

The giant bear staggered two steps forward before collapsing. Xu Huo had already jumped out from the shadows a step earlier, making enough spacious room for the corpse to land, then cut open the stomach bag he'd brought out and retrieved a coin with his bare hands.

"The game is over." He tossed the coin toward the bear corpse. The moment the coin touched the body, the giant bear transformed with a "poof" into a plush toy, the sliced abdomen merely a torn opening in the stuffed animal, and everything that had spilled on the ground turned into cotton—with a pile of Small Hats mixed within.

"Hehehe!" A Plush Bear bounced out from the tent, picking up the Small Hats and presenting them to Xu Huo. "These are all yours now!"

"What a shame," a player murmured quietly.

Originally, winning this game and getting two Small Hats would have been enough. But now, with so many extra Small Hats appearing, who knows when they'll manage to collect a matching set of fifteen.

Xu Huo remained calm, not angry about being tricked by the bear. He said, "I got the coin. Shouldn't the amusement park fulfill its promise?"

The Plush Bear beckoned him with its paw. "Lower your head. I'll only tell you."Xu Huo leaned close, and the Plush Bear moved its mouth open and closed near his ear.

The other players in the tent pricked up their ears but heard nothing. After exchanging glances, two players silently moved toward the tent entrance.

At that moment, a stone staff blocked their path. The two looked up to meet Yan Jiayu's smiling face. "Could you wait a bit before leaving?"

One of them frowned, grabbing the stone staff to push her aside, but unexpectedly, this move didn't budge Yan Jiayu at all—the stone staff remained firmly in place.

"Looking for death!" This person was about to turn hostile when Yan Jiayu's smile vanished. She swung the staff at them. "I said wait!"

The stone staff made a terrifying whooshing sound through the air. The two players' expressions changed slightly, and they immediately leaped back to rejoin their companions, saying, "We lost the game. Why can't we leave? Are you trying to silence us?"

"You're so unreasonable!" Yan Jiayu's eyes widened slightly. "I was clearly just asking you to wait! You're the ones who tried to kill me!"

The player who had tried to act earlier looked displeased. "Enough nonsense! Do you think just the two of you can stop all of us? Don't end up losing more than you gain!"

"Don't be in such a hurry," Xu Huo interrupted them at that moment. "I never said I wasn't willing to share this information. There's no need for this."

The several players looked at him in surprise, not quite believing it.

Xu Huo said with a smile, "Since we're all trapped in this dungeon and can't get out, that makes us friends. Of course, good things should be shared with friends."

After speaking, he turned back to the Plush Bear. "I have a fun game. Would you like to be the referee? I'm willing to pay half a jar of candy to hire you."

"Yes! Yes!" The Plush Bear jumped up. "I love being the referee most!"

"But when playing games, everyone must follow the rules fairly. What if someone breaks the game rules?" Xu Huo asked.

"No one can break the game rules in the amusement park," the Plush Bear stated firmly. "Those who break the game rules are bad guys! Bad guys must be punished!"

"Very good." Xu Huo patted its head, then added, "Since it's a game, of course, the more people the better. How about you invite some more friends to play? I'll give each one three pieces of candy, okay?"

The Plush Bear agreed delightedly.

"What is he trying to do?" The player who had been blocked by Yan Jiayu asked, utterly confused.

"Selling information," another attractive Short-haired Player said with a grim expression. "This guy has some tricks. It's too late to try snatching the info behind the other players' backs now. We need to buy the information before other players hear about it and come rushing over."

Xu Huo walked out of the tent. Jin Chao and Peng Ru hurried to approach him, but they halted when they saw the Plush Bear dragging a corpse out behind him.

"What happened?" Jin Chao asked.

Xu Huo raised a hand, signaling them to wait. After the Plush Bear called over all the Puppets near the campsite, he whispered a few words to Yan Jiayu. Yan Jiayu then raised her voice and shouted to the players who had just gathered: "Anyone who wants to know the random trigger location for the fifth question-and-answer game, line up over here!"

"One thousand White Bills gets you the address plus one Small Hat!"

"The fifth random location?" Some among the onlooking players were half-convinced, half-doubting. "Where did you get this info? The locations for the question-and-answer game are random. How could you possibly know in advance?"

"Players naturally can't predict it, but the Puppets know." Xu Huo took over, pointing at the Plush Bear hugging the Candy Jar nearby. "My information came directly from a Puppet. If you can't trust a Puppet's word, then where else are you going to find the fifth location?"

"These few can act as witnesses." He looked toward the several people who had just come out of the tent.

The female player didn't respond to the others' gazes but instead asked Xu Huo, "How can you guarantee the information you're selling is real?"

"The Puppet is acting as referee for this trading game. I proposed trading information, so of course I won't break the game rules." Xu Huo said, "The consequence for breaking the game rules is right here."

He was referring to the dragged-out corpse.

"Even children know you can't break the game rules," the Plush Bear said while chewing candy.

The players had varied expressions, but seeing so many Puppets around, they didn't dare act recklessly. Killing one Puppet and picking up a pile of hats was a minor matter, but if they attacked a Puppet outside game time, they might very well get thrown out of the amusement park and have to start over.

"I don't want the Small Hat. What's the price?" A dark-skinned player stepped forward.

"Three thousand." Xu Huo scanned the crowd. "Those interested can line up now. Let me remind you in advance—the locations where random Q&

A appear aren't fixed. If you miss the timing, who knows how long you'll have to wait for the next one."

After speaking, he returned to the tent with the Plush Bear and several other Puppets.

The first buyer was the player who had inquired about the price. Once there was a start, it became much easier afterward. Most players weren't short of these few thousand White Bills, so they directly paid three thousand for the information. Because of this, Xu Huo didn't use up many Small Hats.

Of course, some people wondered exactly how Xu Huo had gotten the information from the Puppet's mouth. However, the players who had been in the tent at the time bought the information and left early. Even if they were to spread the word, compared to gambling in another game, buying readily available information was more convenient. After all, this information had a time limit—a few thousand White Bills for a one-time deal.
