Chapter 603 - 595: Showing Off Back Home (Part 3)

The message was sent, she put down her phone, turned off the light, and lay down.

In the past few days, during the day, she had to memorize her lines while Fenfen slept, and with waking up so early in the morning, Anning was already exhausted. Once she laid down and closed her eyes, she fell asleep.

Her assistant had already come to pick her up at three o’clock.

After being woken up by a phone call, she went downstairs to open the door, let the assistant in, then went upstairs to wash up.

Having slept only for a little over five hours, she was still very tired, Ji Anning rubbed her bleary eyes while walking upstairs.

Reaching her bedroom door, she reached out for the doorknob and unlocked it.

Her action to push open the door abruptly stopped, she turned her head to look at Ji Chicheng’s room door, let go of the doorknob she was holding, and slowly turned around.

Then reaching out, she grabbed the doorknob of Ji Chicheng’s room, tried to twist it, and found the door was not locked.

She twisted it open and carefully pushed the door, with the room shrouded in darkness, she held her breath, pushing the door wider and wider.

She stepped in, Qingqing, as if she were a thief.

Step by step, she walked in, approaching the bedroom.

Finally, she heard the man’s even breathing, her heart all of a sudden seemed eager to leap out of her chest, thumping wildly.

But her footsteps did not stop advancing a little further, getting a little closer.

Fearing that her shoes might make noise and wake the sleeping man, she took off her slippers and walked barefoot to the bedside.

The curtains were tightly drawn, the room was almost completely devoid of light, so she could only see the man’s silhouette. She leaned forward slightly.

Approaching him, she listened to his breathing, feeling his breath.

Her heart, for a moment, seemed to stop beating altogether.

Suddenly, not knowing where the courage came from, she lowered her head, her soft lips grazed the man’s mouth corner lightly, like a dragonfly skimming the water.

Inside, she felt like a flurry of emotions as if a young deer was wreaking havoc.

Having played the thief, she needed to make a quick getaway.

Ji Anning straightened up, turned around, preparing to leave, but the man on the bed, who had been sound asleep just moments ago, suddenly opened his eyes and quickly clasped her wrist with his hand.

Before Ji Anning could react, her petite and delicate body had been pulled onto the bed, lying atop the man.

"Uncle!"

Ji Anning’s eyes widened in shock; her bright pupils shone like glistening stars in the pitch-black night.

She looked into the man’s similarly bright and clear eyes, her heartbeat faltering and skipping.

Her entire body was tense with nervousness.

Ji Chicheng gazed at Ji Anning’s face, observing the contours of her features, her uneven breath rustling faintly.

His own breathing became heavier and heavier.

His hands slowly moved up from Ji Anning’s back to her neck, hooking it and pushing her head down, his lips accurately pressing against hers.

Then he flipped over, his heavy body pressing down on Ji Anning.

His kiss, just as two years ago, was domineering yet tinged with his unique tenderness.

Yet, Ji Anning’s body was still taut, her hands clenched into fists, her arms stiff and retracted.

"Look at me."

The man finally spoke, his deep voice commanding and guiding her in Ji Anning’s ear.

Ji Anning slowly opened her eyes, her eyelashes and eyelids trembling, her lips quivering, "Uncle... Uncle."

Her inner world was incredibly complex, wracked with painful conflict.

Ji Chicheng did not respond to Ji Anning, but lowered his head again and kissed her lips, his hands reaching for Ji Anning’s clenched fists. Dominantly, he pried her fists open and interlocked their fingers tightly.
