Chapter 560 - 552 Ji Mingyue’s Visit (Part 1)
If you know, you know. If you want to get angry, get angry. If you want to accuse, accuse. What’s the point of saying such sarcastic things?
In the dining room, the atmosphere was eerily quiet. Even Fenfen seemed to sense that something was off, biting her finger and not daring to make a sound.
Her bright, watery eyes looked at Ji Mingyue, filled with confusion in the one eye that could be seen.
Who is this woman with such a rich range of expressions?
So annoying, blocking her from her mommy. Are they now not even allowing people to eat?
Ji Mingyue frowned at her too, asking fiercely, "What are you looking at me for?"
The little girl got startled when suddenly addressed, but she didn’t cry; instead, she pouted and haughtily ’hmphed’, still glaring at Ji Mingyue.
"What are you looking at me for?" Ji Mingyue raised her voice, "Are you also struggling with whether to call me ’Grand-aunt’ or just ’Auntie’?"
After she asked, she let out a cold laugh, "Heh, call me ’Grand-aunt’ then. It’s the first time I’ve ever wanted to be a grandmother."
It was obvious she was speaking out of spite.
But the little girl obediently nodded, "Grandma!"
Her speech was still unclear, and it was a bit difficult for her to pronounce the three syllables, but she usually didn’t trouble herself, so she simply said ’Grandma’.
Ji Anning: "..."
Ji Chicheng: "..."
Ji Mingyue’s mouth twitched, and she knocked on Fenfen’s little head with exasperation, "You little thing, just as annoying as your dad."
Seeing the little girl’s face that looked so much like Ji Chicheng’s, she still couldn’t help but feel affectionate.
Yet the thought of her brother and sister-in-law’s scandalous and disgraceful behavior was hard for her to accept at first; her gaze turned back to Ji Anning, her words dripping with scorn, "Ji Anning, you’re really something. Such ambition, such a bright future, even knowing how to seduce our family’s most beloved youngest son."
Their relationship was already disgraceful, and it was normal for Ji Mingyue to get angry, to reprimand her, and to scold her. Anning had anticipated these reactions and didn’t feel aggrieved.
Ji Anning kept her head down, saying nothing.
Ji Mingyue continued, "The old man still doesn’t know about this, does he? If he knew, he probably wouldn’t be in this world anymore, might have already been infuriated to death on the road to the underworld."
Ji Anning: "..."
Truly the queen of sharp tongues, not even softening her words for her own father.
Would it be a huge slap in her face if Anning now told her that the old man had known all along?
So... better to remain silent, let her vent it out.
"Oh, why don’t you say something? Why are you not talking now?"
Being the only one talking here without anyone responding made Ji Mingyue unsatisfied again; she looked at Ji Anning and then at Ji Chicheng.
"You just got such a niece out of nowhere, and you’re acting all smug?"
Ji Chicheng finally spoke up, raising an eyebrow at Ji Mingyue. He put down his cup and fork and stood up to walk toward Ji Anning.
His gaze was on Fenfen, "Daddy will take you to have some milk."
He walked over to Ji Anning and took Fenfen away.
Without looking at Ji Anning or Ji Mingyue, Ji Mingyue followed him, "This child, aside from calling me ’Grand-aunt’, I won’t agree to anything else she calls me."
"Hmm," Ji Chicheng nodded lightly.
Ji Mingyue was furious, getting angrier the more she thought about it. She glared at Ji Anning, "The child is already so big. You two have been together for two years now, haven’t you?"
Ji Anning: "..."
This... is that even a question?
