Chapter 388 - 382: Able to Support Many Children (Part One)

After a long silence, he gathered his thoughts, took a deep sigh, and looked down at the mobile phone in his hand, "Understood."

With that, he ended the call.

Immediately, he dialed again, his expression darkening as he did so.

Upon hearing the call connect, without waiting for the other person to speak, he went straight to the point, "Tell Ji Jingfeng that if he continues behaving this way, and he thinks he wants peace, I won’t give it to him. Let the mother and son just stay on the island."

Having said that, he did not give the other person a chance to speak and immediately hung up the call.

Outside the window, the falling snowflakes finally became more numerous. He frowned deeply, looking up toward that unreachable place.

A face weathered with age and sorrow, "It’s my fault."

...

Snow had fallen in many parts of the country, yet the climate on Garden Island remained mild.

The courtyard was still full of blooming flowers, a vision of spring.

Upon hearing the ’beep beep’ of the busy signal, Yang Yufang, looking sickly, showed a look of anxiety on her face as she watched Ji Jingfeng exercising in the courtyard, biting her lip with frustration.

’Knock knock knock’

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. She collected her thoughts and turned toward the door to respond, "Come in."

With her permission, the maid outside opened the door, carrying a glass of water inside, "Second Madam, it’s time for your medication."

"Put it down," Yang Yufang, still feeling anxious and irritable, replied curtly.

The maid sensed her bad mood, bent over gently to place the glass on the coffee table, then left.

As her footsteps neared the doorway, Yang Yufang suddenly looked at her and called out, "Zhang Sister."

"Is there anything else you need, Second Madam?" Zhang Sister paused, turning back in confusion to look at Yang Yufang.

Yang Yufang said, "Go and call Jingfeng up for me, tell him I need to see him."

Hearing this, Zhang Sister didn’t ask further, nodded, said "Okay," and then left, closing the door behind her.

Soon after, Ji Jingfeng arrived. He pushed the door open and first glanced around the room, seeing Yang Yufang taking her medication. He frowned in annoyance and asked, "Mom, what did you want to see me for?"

With no internet on the island, life was exceptionally dull, making his temper ever more volatile.

He asked as he closed the door behind him.

Yang Yufang finished her last sip of water, put down the glass, hugged her knees, and stared unblinkingly at Ji Jingfeng, her gaze intense.

Just looking, without opening her mouth.

"Mom, just tell me what it is," Ji Jingfeng, clearly impatient, sat down next to Yang Yufang, looking down and pressing irritably on his mobile phone.

No matter how much he pressed, there was no internet, only the signal for calls.

"Ah!" Yang Yufang, looking at his agitation, sighed with sorrow before finally speaking, "Jingfeng, your marriage with Anning has been postponed for a while, and now I and your grandfather have discussed and decided it will be set for the spring festival when everyone is free. Your grandfather has already notified his circle."

It wasn’t a discussion, but a direct notification.

At these words, Ji Jingfeng jumped up, "Mom, how many times do I have to tell you, I don’t like Ji Anning, I don’t want to be with her, and she doesn’t want to be with me either."

Yang Yufang had been talking to him about this matter these past few days, and he had been refusing all along, but this time his stance was the most vehement and resolute.

Yang Yufang also grew angry, "What are you talking about, how could Anning not want to be with you?"
