Chapter 373 - 367: Going to Sleep Over a Disagreement (Part 21)

She knew he could definitely handle it, just a visa.

The sunlight at noon in winter, as brilliant as gold, was exceptionally precious, showering on the girl’s body, making her black hair seem as if it had been coated with a layer of gold, and her fair and beautiful little face looked even more delicate and tender.

Simple, pure, clean, and so on—all the adjectives Qi Helian could think of crossed his mind, but not a single one was sufficient to describe Ji Anning in his eyes at that moment.

Never had a person made him feel that just watching her was so wonderful.

Qi Helian rested his hand on his chin, his narrow eyes meeting the sunlight, too dazzling to keep open, squinting slightly, lazy and hazy, with the corners of his lips turned up, charming yet retaining a heroic air.

Seeing him like this, Anning couldn’t help but think no wonder Uncle called him a beauty, what was a big man doing looking this good.

She was still waiting for Qi Helian to reply to her, but he kept staring at her as if he were lost in thought, so she couldn’t help asking, "Mr. Qi, can the visa be processed in two days?"

Her question snapped him out of his reverie, and a hint of guilt flashed across Qi Helian’s sharp eyes. He quickly shifted his gaze from Anning’s face, straightening his back and looking toward the road ahead.

After sighing, he looked at Anning again, "Give me your passport, ID card, and household registration book. The day after tomorrow, I’ll have Minnie pick you up, and your brother will take you to fly."

A smile that seemed teasing reappeared on his face.

Anning didn’t play coy and immediately nodded with an ’mmh’, then she bit her lip, hesitating, "Then, can I trouble you with something?"

Qi Helian raised an eyebrow, "Hmm?"

Anning said, "Don’t tell Uncle first?"

"Not tell him? Are you planning to have a romantic trip with me to N City?" Qi Helian leaned his elbow on the car window again, resting his cheek on his hand, looking at her with a smirk on his face.

Before Anning could reply, he shrugged his shoulders, "I wouldn’t be opposed."

Ignoring his joke, Anning blushed and said, "I want to give him a surprise."

"Hmm," nodded Qi Helian, then asked, "So what kind of benefit do you want to give me?"

At that, Anning pouted, "Forget it, I won’t go."

With that, she turned and left, high and mighty, her footsteps not dragging at all.

"Hey, I was just joking with you." Qi Helian started the car again and followed Anning’s pace, sticking his head out of the window, frowning at her, "Is it so hard to say something nice to me?"

He had never heard her speak to him kindly, always so distant and polite.

She even pretended not to know him.

"Mr. Qi is a good person." Anning suddenly smiled, stopping in her tracks, and turned to look sideways at the man in the car.

Her playful look made Qi Helian unable to resist continuing to tease her, "If you changed the title a bit more perfectly, and let your Uncle take advantage of me slightly, I’d allow you to call me ’brother’. Come on, say ’Brother Qi’."

Anning gave him an incredulous look and continued walking forward.

Just then, a familiar voice suddenly called out to her from ahead.

"Anning."

Upon hearing this voice, Anning felt somewhat troubled; she reached out to rub her brow and before she could look up, Qi Helian next to her suddenly pressed the car horn.

A sharp ’beep’, quite piercing, she instinctively jumped aside.

"I get it, I get it, why so fierce?"

Rong Feifan originally intended to hop over towards Anning, but upon hearing Qi Helian’s horn blast, laden with warning, although dissatisfied, he dared not defy Qi Helian’s will and changed course, circling around to the passenger side door.
