Chapter 365 - 359: Disagree and ’Sleep’ (Part 13)

Day by day, he was almost scaring her to death.

After she sent the message, Ji Chicheng immediately replied, "New emoji pack."

Ji Anning almost spat blood, so boring!

She had been so frightened just now and was still feeling the residual fear, her little temper hadn’t cooled down yet, so she simply sent a voice message, asking in an annoyed tone, "Then why did you call me?"

Ji Chicheng replied, "To tell you, I’ve downloaded a new emoji pack."

Ji Anning: "..."

The anger that had been pent up in her heart, the kind that won’t be comfortable until it’s released, just extinguished like that.

After being speechless for a while, she laughed irritably, "Fine, you’re cool, what you say goes."

Really, she just couldn’t deal with him at all.

She wanted to see what kind of emoji pack it was that interested him so much, it was indeed rare to see.

And this was the first time he had sent her emojis, he, who was always so sophisticated and considered everything mundane, actually played with emoji packs too.

The more Ji Anning thought about it, the more curious she became. She carefully reviewed all the emojis Ji Chicheng had sent her, which seemed to feature a very cute, chibi-style girl with a big head.

With long hair tied in a ponytail, wearing a school uniform, carrying a backpack, there were emojis of her crying, laughing, despising, kissing, and so on, and even eating ice cream, various kinds.

She found them adorable too, but why did the school uniform and backpack worn by this chibi girl look so familiar?

The more she looked, the more familiar it felt, especially familiar.

Ji Anning stared at the school uniform on the chibi girl, recalling carefully, when Ji Chicheng suddenly sent another message.

It was another emoji from the same series.

Elite!

Suddenly, a lightbulb went off in Ji Anning’s head, she remembered it was the elite school uniform and backpack, in yellow, white, and blue.

"Uncle, is this emoji from Elite?"

As she sent this message, Ji Chicheng also sent her another emoji.

Upon seeing it, a multitude of feelings flashed through Ji Anning’s heart: surprise... excitement... touched... and more, so many more.

She numbly reached out and pinched her own face.

Ouch!

It wasn’t a dream, this maddeningly outstanding man was truly hers.

Her gaze fixed on the girl in the picture, sitting on the windowsill, propping her cheeks with her hands in thought, she started laughing, her eyes happily reddening with tears.

A flood of memories filled her mind, the most bittersweet yet most beautiful period of her time.

When women are touched, they become melodramatic, and Ji Anning was no exception. She didn’t know how else to express her feelings at the moment, except to sum it up in one sentence.

"Uncle, I miss you."

After she sent the message, Ji Chicheng still replied promptly, "Are you sure you miss me?"

Ji Anning was dissatisfied, "You actually doubt my sincerity."

"I got it."

Ji Chicheng replied with these few words, leaving Ji Anning very dissatisfied; couldn’t he have replied ’me too’?

As she brooded over this, Ji Chicheng sent another message, "I miss you too."

It was the same four words, but Ji Anning’s mood was drastically different. Her previous dissatisfaction and gloom were swept away, as she beamed with joy, sending Ji Chicheng a kissing emoji.

She used one from the emoji pack he had sent her earlier, which was of herself.

After waiting for a while, Ji Chicheng didn’t reply. Thinking he might be busy, she put down her phone and went to take a shower.

When she came out of the bathroom, Ji Anning picked up her phone first. Seeing that Ji Chicheng still hadn’t sent a message, she didn’t wait any longer and placed the phone on the bedside table.
