Chapter 751: A Game Knowledge Never Won, a God at Full Strength!

Chapter 751: A Game Knowledge Never Won, a God at Full Strength!

“You call that nonsense?! Huh?”

“And don’t you have anything better to do right now? Didn’t I tell you not to disturb my games unless absolutely necessary?”

On the beach, most of the sand had already been swept away, exposing bare earth everywhere. No one knew what was going on in Lu Ce’s head—he had turned sand into a theme and invented a whole bunch of different games around it.

On this mottled, leopard-patterned shoreline, Knowledge was currently railing at the Arbitrator.

The Arbitrator felt like he’d truly drawn the short straw. Being a judge was always a thankless, exhausting job, especially when you had to rule on games created by those who made you.

Ever since Pleasure started losing his mind and the games went off the rails, every single contest the Arbitrator intervened in had ended up with the gods yelling at him.

They almost treated him like a punching bag...

“But this is obviously an emergency situation,” the Arbitrator said without any visible emotion, his voice almost robotic.

“Hey brother, why are you arguing with him? You’re the referee, you should make him listen to you!” Lu Ce chimed in with a wide grin.

“Is it an emergency? Who appointed you to decide that? We created you so you could boss us around?” Knowledge’s voice cut in sharply.“Exactly! I agree. If it keeps being like this, who even’s the boss? The hierarchy’s getting blurred.” Lu Ce switched the spear tip of his teasing and backed Knowledge’s words.

Knowledge: ...

Arbitrator: ...

They exchanged a glance, then both looked toward Sin, utterly speechless.

This guy had been prattling on since the start, making their already frazzled tempers even more nauseating.

“Why’re you staring at me? Heh heh, don’t worry about me, you two keep chatting.” Lu Ce said, pretending to be embarrassed, but his blue face showed none of it as he smiled.

The Arbitrator felt irritated just looking at him and didn’t want to keep bantering, so he turned back to Knowledge.

“Right now, the wager you’ve put on the final game is already the highest among all the gods. That’s rather inappropriate.”

“That’s already wildly inconsistent with what you said at the beginning.”

“You don’t need to manage this, it’s none of your business.” Knowledge said.

“I have my reasons for playing these games with him. I need to test whether he’s qualified to face me one-on-one at the end.” Knowledge continued.

Hearing that made the Arbitrator nearly lose it. He muttered, unable to help himself, “But he’s already won every single one. There’s no need for an endless string of tests, right?”

“What do you mean ‘won every single one’? Can what he does even be called winning?!” Knowledge retorted.

“Well, if you don’t think it counts as winning, then don’t raise the stakes!” the Arbitrator wanted to curse. He really couldn’t understand how Sin, with a few words, had gotten Knowledge to willingly raise the bet so much.

“No matter what, the current wager level is way too high. It’s already hit the cap; it can’t be raised further. As the referee, I have the obligation to point that out.” The Arbitrator shook his head. Before he could say more, Lu Ce jumped up and shouted:

“What? You mean you already ran out of bets? Then what are we even playing for? We’re out of the game.”

“I will win next time.” Sin said.

“If you can’t offer more wagers, then I won’t give you the chance.” The Arbitrator stared blankly at the bickering pair before him and seriously wondered whether they had developed some emotional attachment from playing together.

“As a witness, aren’t you two done with your little games? Is it time to officially begin?” The Arbitrator took advantage of the moment to interject.

“We had reasons to play those silly games before.” Knowledge said.

What Knowledge meant was that he wanted to extract some information related to Agony from Sin.

“I should remind you... he might just be talking nonsense.” The Arbitrator offered weakly. Although he had no proof, he suspected Sin might not really know anything about Agony.

Sin sounded like the same line of nonsense as that unreliable god—no wonder he was chosen...

“Hmph!” Repeatedly being contradicted by the Arbitrator had offended Knowledge. He snorted coldly, his gaze, seemingly condensed into an energy entity, staring fixedly.

“Fine then, you can leave. This guy here barely meets the qualification.”

“My game can indeed begin...” Knowledge said.

The Arbitrator knew this god didn’t want him around either; he wanted to leave too, but he couldn’t—so he continued to object.

“Maybe not. Because you kept raising the stakes earlier, the specifications for this game are now far too high.”

“So... I need to act as the judge here directly.”

Silence fell. Even the Arbitrator knew that his words were essentially goading Knowledge.

Lu Ce fanned the flames again from the side:

“Oh, you speak so well, brother. I knew you were on my side.”

Arbitrator: ...

Unexpectedly, Knowledge didn’t argue much further. It seemed something had been reached and he calmed down.

“Fine, fine!”

“Sin, are you ready?”

“I’ve always been ready. You’re the one who’s been unprepared.” Sin replied.

Knowledge didn’t respond to that trash talk. A faint phosphorescence began to glow on him, and the whole world was washed with a white light: the beach, the sea—everything returned to its original state in an instant.

“I didn’t even expect I’d wager so much. Heh, splendid.” Knowledge said.

“Congratulations. You’ll have the privilege of facing me at my peak state. By the way, aren’t you two going to join in?” Knowledge’s perception seemed to have leveled up as he looked toward a spot.

The air in that place twisted, and two lovely figures appeared out of thin air: Pleasure and Xie Antong.

“You finally came to me. What, here to cause trouble for me?” Knowledge asked.

“Heh, fine. Otherwise, my peak state against a mere mortal would be... well...” Pleasure was a bit speechless as he spoke.

Knowledge had long been aware of Pleasure’s earlier uprising, so he was neither surprised nor angry now—he was prepared.

“Heh, sorry. Before coming, I also thought that.” Pleasure said with some exasperation.

“But it’s complicated. In fact, I came to help you.” Pleasure added.
