Pain Immunity: Worried the Villains Aren’t Twisted Enough

Chapter 346: Am I Being... Too Gentle?

Chapter 346: Am I Being... Too Gentle?

"Message received!"

On the street, a waiter wearing a professional smile lifted his head.

His gaze pierced through the crowd, locking onto Lu Ce who was walking toward the central tower.

Holding a tray with confident smile, he strode toward Lu Ce.

This was a top-tier open scheme - they had been confident of victory ever since "Sin" entered the scene.

They just hadn't expected this strongest player to have such deep connections with that girl, which delighted them beyond measure.

What a stroke of luck! The more you care, the more they can exploit it.

Soon, the waiter codenamed "Number Four" stood before Lu Ce.

He bowed slightly, appearing humble, yet his feet subtly positioned themselves to block Lu Ce's path.

"Good day sir, may I help you with anything?" Beneath the professional smile lurked insincerity. The purple mask tilted up, giving him a meaningful smile.

Number Four and those behind him had anticipated ten thousand possible scenarios, but none prepared them for Lu Ce's next move.

Lu Ce struck like lightning!

Number Four: ?

Seeing the slap coming toward his face, his expression changed dramatically as he jerked his head back and slid his feet to retreat.

That movement clearly wasn't something an ordinary person could make!

Calling him a special agent would be an understatement - this person might very well be a player!

Number Four dodged Lu Ce's "attack".

Being able to dodge "Sin's" attack definitely marked him as highly skilled, but he soon realized something was wrong - that wasn't an attack at all!

When he jerked his head back, the earpiece on his ear disappeared instantly.

!!!

Lu Ce looked at him mockingly, weighing the object in his hand before bringing the earpiece to his own mouth.

"Hello?"

Silence from the other end.

"Not going to say anything? Shouldn't you people be dying to talk to me?"

Lu Ce spoke with genuine curiosity while holding the earpiece.

Cold sweat broke out on Number Four's face.

"Sir, could you return my earpiece? If you need anything, we provide all kinds of electronic devices here."

"Oh?" The purple mask gave him a sidelong glance. "What's wrong? Without someone whispering in your ear, don't know what to do?"

Number Four: ......

"You must have misunderstood. This is just a communication device our service team uses for unified coordination."

"Oh? What exactly did I misunderstand? Wasn't that precisely what I meant?"

On the other end of the earpiece, the operatives gritted their teeth, completely unprepared for this turn of events.

Why would he just snatch the earpiece for no reason?!

Did he notice something?

Hmph, doesn't matter - it's too late now!

"Then... could you please return the earpiece first—"

CRACK.

Lu Ce applied pressure with two fingers as if crushing a piece of dough.

With a slight rub, the earpiece instantly turned into a pinch of fine sand.

"What earpiece?"

Number Four: ......

It's over.

Meanwhile, most of the players who had come to the island with them had found seats.

With free food and drinks outside, the East Sea Debate could wait.

Right now, there seemed to be some juicy gossip involving the strongest player.

"If there's nothing else, don't block the way."

With that, Lu Ce continued forward, and Number Four instinctively stepped aside.

Then he suddenly remembered his mission, gritted his teeth, and rushed forward again.

Screw it - without orders, he'd have to improvise.

Knowing how much "Sin" cared about that woman, his primary task now was...

To anger the other party while maintaining absolute politeness and subservience.

Cutting in front with a sidestep, he said:

"Excuse me sir, is there something you need? Perhaps I can assist you."

Lu Ce ignored him and kept walking. Number Four naturally didn't dare let their bodies collide, so he kept pace while continuing:

"My apologies, but may I see your invitation?"

"If you weren't invited, you're still welcome to use our complimentary entertainment facilities, but in principle..."

Number Four kept talking nonstop as he chased after Lu Ce with his tray, creating quite a ridiculous sight!

"The tower is reserved for our distinguished guests. You cannot enter."

"Additionally, today is our young lady's engagement banquet. We wouldn't want any disturbances from uninvited guests!"

After much deliberation, Number Four stared intently at "Sin's" mask and emphasized the words "engagement banquet."

Beneath the mask, Lu Ce's lips curled slightly.

What clumsy provocation.

But to outsiders, he genuinely stopped and looked at Number Four.

"Am I being... too gentle?"

Number Four: ?

Seeing that his persistent obstruction had finally produced results, he sighed in relief.

They couldn't actually have their people physically block the way - that would ruin the plan.

And indeed, the target seemed properly provoked now.

His mission was accomplished; it was about time to make his exit.

"Sir, I can basically confirm you weren't invited."

"We hope you'll respect our rules and not disrupt the atmosphere of our engagement banquet."

"Tch." Lu Ce looked at him and sighed deeply. "You know, I'm actually quite particular about cleanliness?"

"I really don't want to dirty myself. I'll give you one more chance - a rare opportunity. Are you sure?"

Number Four had no idea what this "opportunity" referred to. From the corner of his eye, he saw his backup teammates arriving.

Cameras were trained on them - showtime!

"I'm sure!" Number Four replied with righteous conviction, though he wasn't sure what exactly he was affirming.

But then he watched in confusion as the man opposite him placed a hand on his mask and lowered his head.

When he looked up again, the mask's shape remained unchanged, but its color had shifted slightly.

To a pale green.

—Wrath!

Why did the color suddenly change?

This became the final question in Number Four's mind during his lifetime.

Hell's Roar rose like lightning, pressing against his forehead. The next instant, it unleashed a roar from hell itself.

In the sunlight's silhouette, it looked like a watermelon being pierced, split open, and spraying its contents.

"Let's hurry this game along."
