Pain Immunity: Worried the Villains Aren’t Twisted Enough

Chapter 225: Peak Trash Talk, Real or Fake Prison Guard

Chapter 225: Peak Trash Talk, Real or Fake Prison Guard

To put it simply, all of these people were criminals chosen to be players.

But unlike the Demon Asylum, the beasts here were truly beasts. Every one of them had a criminal history that fully justified being locked up.

The old man trafficked a daughter-in-law for his son, tried to resell her in a mountain village, and when she refused to be sold again, he tortured her to death.

Yellow-Haired Punk was a textbook case of school bullying—he bullied someone to death.

Scarface was caught cheating with his mistress by her son, so he killed the kid.

Fatty was a crooked cop. For his performance metrics, he framed and got many innocent people killed.

Skinny Guy was running telecom scams, ruining countless families, leaving them penniless and with no place to bury their dead.

In short, each one was worse than the last. Their crimes were more than enough to warrant being executed by Lingchi.

After hearing their confessions, Lu Ce thought to himself: crap—maybe my earlier insults were way too soft?

Just then, after everyone had spoken, the Prison Guard looked conflicted, sweeping his gaze over each person. The inmates met his eyes and instantly panicked, shouting:

"I didn’t lie! I told the truth! I confessed everything!"

"Yes, I’m guilty, but it’s not just my guilt, okay?! That man (woman) had a part too! I had no choice—I didn’t want to kill him!"

"Even if I’m guilty, I’ve changed! Don’t punish me—I’m repenting! My sin isn’t even the worst here!"

They all cried out loud, as if they’d been gravely wronged.

Snot and tears flew everywhere—it made Lu Ce frown just watching.

Piecing things together, he was starting to understand what this game was about.

First, it seemed like lying to the Prison Guard wasn’t allowed—maybe he could detect lies.

Second, the guard was extremely powerful, to the point where these inmates were clearly terrified and couldn’t fight back.

Third, Lu Ce himself was limited in this prison—seemed like he couldn’t win in a head-on fight.

These beasts were all shouting about their crimes, trying to downplay how bad they were. Even when they deserved a thousand deaths, they were still making excuses.

That probably meant the one judged to have the worst sin would face a severe punishment.

So the Prison Guard was here to play that role.

"Finished talking?"

A voice cut through the chaos—not the guard’s, but Lu Ce’s!

As soon as the words dropped, all the noise stopped instantly. Everyone turned their heads in unison.

Each inmate looked utterly shocked.

They thought: this guy really had no off switch—was he hellbent on dying?! There was literally nothing he wouldn’t say!

The Prison Guard was also stunned. He looked at Lu Ce and nodded.

"Yeah... still you left."

"What’s your sin?"

"I am the sin," Lu Ce replied.

"Huh?" The guard tilted his head, puzzled.

"Uhh..."

His brain seemed to crash for a second.

It looked like—at least according to his judgment—Lu Ce wasn’t lying.

But if he wasn’t lying, then what the hell did "I am the sin" even mean?!

How was he supposed to assess the severity? Should he haul him off and carve out a kidney or what?

"You..."

"Are you f**king slow? Can’t understand human speech?" Lu Ce snapped.

"Fine, I’ll rephrase. My sin is... I killed your mom."

Then, looking up, Lu Ce mimicked the tone of the earlier beasts and continued:

"That’s my sin. But you can’t fully blame me, right? Your mom had a part in it too, didn’t she?"

"If she had just died before I killed her, none of this would’ve happened. So how can that be my fault? Honestly, your mom should bear most of the responsibility."

"Think about it—if she was already dead, I couldn’t have killed her."

The Pink Mask went full savage—trash talk at 100%, unleashing pure humiliation on the Prison Guard.

The other five inmates had twisted expressions on their faces.

It was hard to believe a human being could say stuff like that.

They said real beasts don’t even realize they’re beasts. And while these guys kept making excuses, Lu Ce's speech was so outrageous it blew past all limits.

It was hard to imagine there was a person behind that Pink Mask.

The guard’s eyes bulged, pupils turning bloodshot, and his aura exploded.

"You... you’re lying!"

Just as he was reaching his boiling point, Lu Ce raised a hand and said:

"Wait, you can tell if I’m lying, right?"

"...What else?" the guard’s fury paused—he genuinely seemed to have never dealt with someone like this before.

"Your mom’s dead."

Prison Guard: ?

"Was I lying?"

Prison Guard: ......

"No."

"There, see..." Lu Ce, wearing the Jealousy Mask, started swaggering forward. "Your mom’s dead. So I couldn’t have had a chance to kill her."

Before he finished the sentence, Lu Ce shot forward like a bolt of lightning.

He threw his arms around the guard’s legs and flipped him upward!

A surge of brute strength exploded from his body, hurling the Prison Guard into the air!

Lu Ce was never weaker in strength. The issue was, the guard had some kind of power that sapped him.

So—he had to strike first!

Both men tumbled to the ground.

The Prison Guard, stunned that anyone dared touch him, immediately retaliated. The wave of weakness hit Lu Ce again.

Then the two started rolling on the floor, making the already chaotic room even more of a disaster zone.

Lu Ce's strength was being suppressed, but that didn’t matter.

The Pink Mask wore a ferocious expression of envy.

Why the h*ll was he being restrained while the other guy wasn’t?!

I want your face!

They crashed into a bunk bed, leaving everyone watching in stunned silence.

Then—BANG!—they bounced apart and stood back up.

The Prison Guard, eyes bloodshot, stood and roared in rage:

"You little sh*t, looks like you want to—"

"Wait... what the hell?"

Suddenly, his voice shifted to one of shock.

Across from him stood another tall figure—another Prison Guard, with blood-red eyes, staring back in astonishment.

The two stared at each other in disbelief.
