Chapter 347 - 218: Filming Overlap—Isabella Hart Joins the Variety Show [Part 3]
"What’s wrong?"
Nora Scott leaned against the door and asked out loud.
Katherine Collins turned her head at the sound, looked up surprised, and greeted Nora once she saw her, "Hey, Nora."
Then she walked over, "Did I wake you up?"
Nora’s hair was messy, wearing a robe and slippers, clearly just woken up.
"Yeah."
Nora didn’t deny it, pushed the door open, and motioned for Katherine to come in and talk.
She tilted her head and asked, "What’s the situation?"
"Well, we checked in, but Luna Durant liked the view from my room and wanted to swap."
"I was outside at the time; the manager called me, and I didn’t agree. After coming back, I found Luna used a spare room card and went directly into my room. She offered compensation, but I didn’t accept."
"When I kicked them out, it got a bit noisy, but it’s sorted now."
After explaining what happened, Katherine apologized with a smile, "Sorry for disturbing your rest. When did you arrive?"
Recalling the time, Nora casually replied, "Around noon."
"Oh." Katherine looked down at the time on her phone and asked, "Have you had lunch?"
"Not yet."
Besides breakfast, she hadn’t eaten anything else, and now, having slept till three in the afternoon, Katherine’s mention made Nora realize she was indeed a little hungry.
"Let’s eat together, then."
Katherine invited, further explaining, "These past few days, there’s also a TV show filming in Greenhill Town. Most hotel rooms are booked, only you, me, and another actor are here. That actor happens to have a scene with you tomorrow, I’ll introduce you two and talk through the scene."
"Luna Durant is part of the show?"
"Yeah, it’s called ’Searching for the City’s Secret,’ every episode centers around city features, and it’s quite popular. Their theme probably clashes with ours this time."
"Is everyone here for the puppet show?" Nora chuckled, raising an eyebrow.
"I overheard them talking in the lobby, it should be right," Katherine nodded slightly, "Besides, Greenhill Town is most famous for its puppet shows."
"Yeah." Nora said, "I’ll get ready."
"Alright."
Katherine went to pull open the room door, planning to head out.
"Also—"
Nora suddenly spoke up, stopping her.
"Hmm?"
Katherine paused her steps, looking back puzzled.
"With Luna Durant’s temper, she won’t let this slide easily," Nora warned first, and then openly confessed, "Besides, I’ve also provoked her."
This matter needed to be disclosed to Katherine first.
Their small documentary film crew, including actors, directors, and camera operators, totaled less than ten people. They were weak compared to a popular TV show crew, incomparable.
And with their small crew, both director and actor had offended Luna Durant...
It’s unlikely Luna would hold her temper and not react.
What’s more, before coming to the hotel, she did a little inquiry; this was one of Luna Durant’s family’s small bases, her family had business and people here.
"I see..." Katherine remained calm, blinked, and then chuckled with relief, "That’s fine, we’ll deal with it as it comes."
"...Alright."
Seeing her so composed, Nora said no more.
This was merely a reminder for Katherine.
*
Changing into casual attire, Nora called Pedro Langley for a few minutes, flung her backpack over her shoulder, and removed the room card as she walked out.
Agreeing to meet Katherine at the lobby downstairs, Nora went straight to wait for the elevator.
Once the elevator was stable, the door opened, and before Nora could see who was inside, she heard a crisp and pleasant greeting—
"Hey!"
As her gaze settled, Nora saw Clement Winter, his eyes smiling, with a dazzling grin showing his white teeth.
Nora nodded slightly, then stepped into the elevator.
"How coincidental, you’re here too, are you here for a trip?" Clement said without waiting for Nora to respond and then shifted topics, "Thanks for the bottled water last time; the show crew didn’t give me a drop, almost burned me up."
"No worries."
"Where are you heading? It’s raining outside; do you have an umbrella?"
"..."
He was really friendly.
Seeing Nora not answering, Clement, blinking his bright eyes, leaned slightly closer to Nora and repeated, "Do you have one?"
"Don’t have." Nora squeezed the words through her teeth.
"That’s fine too, the hotel front desk can lend umbrellas, and there’s a convenience store across the street—"
"Ding—"
The elevator door opened.
Clement quickly shut his mouth, and upon exiting the elevator, waved at her, "I’m off, see you next time."
