Chapter 321 - 206: Encountering a Reality Show, Clement Winter the Cutie [Part 2]

Appearing suddenly in everyone’s view was undoubtedly Pedro Langley.

He stood leisurely, calm and composed, his gaze sweeping over everyone until it finally rested on Nora Scott.

The corners of his mouth slightly curved up, his lips forming a gentle arc.

"Don’t touch him."

Nora, who had been stunned for a few seconds, quickly spoke, stopping the people approaching him.

As soon as she spoke, the few people heading to the inner room immediately halted, although they were filled with doubt, they instinctively moved to either side.

Nora stood up, raised her hand to touch her nose, then coughed lightly before seriously asking, "What are you doing here?"

"Just browsing, hoping to find some treasure."

Pedro answered honestly, walking over with an enigmatic expression.

"There aren’t many real items in this shop," Nora shrugged, her gaze suddenly falling on the shards scattered around, thinking she wasn’t one to act rashly, she added, "Even if they are real, they’re not worth much."

"Hmm."

Pedro nodded, yet didn’t express any opinion.

Nora continued, "I’ll take you to other stores some other day."

Seeing her uncomfortable demeanor, Pedro found her quite adorable, but everyone else was staring in astonishment, so he chose not to tease.

"Some other day’s matter, we’ll talk about it then." Pedro approached her, stopped, smirked slightly with a smile spreading across his face, "Are you free tonight to join me for a late-night snack?"

"Oh," Nora blinked, then nodded immediately, "Sure."

Pedro glanced at the blocked door.

Nora waved at the two people by the door, they looked at Pedro steadily, then quickly moved aside, opening the door to both sides.

Tilting her head, Nora instructed someone nearby, "Handle the rest of this."

"Yes."

The person quickly nodded in response.

Nora left Serendipity Pavilion first, followed by Pedro, one after the other. Once they were gone, the door of Serendipity Pavilion was closed again.

Inside the pavilion, everyone who witnessed the scene exchanged glances, but after a brief silence, they all returned to their own affairs, as if nothing had ever occurred.

Walking along Long Street, the roadside shops were mostly closed, the storefronts along the street were simply and quaintly decorated, without any blinding neon lights, the street lamps were amber, offering a dim view that stretched and transformed shadows.

"Did you really just ’browse’?"

In the cool night, Nora casually put one hand in her pocket, speaking to break the quiet atmosphere between them.

"Indeed." Pedro recalled and felt amused, but restrained himself; after a few seconds, he emphasized in a serious tone, "Very innocent bystander, didn’t do anything illegal."

"..."

Nora found it unbelievable that someone could say something so cheeky with a straight face.

The corner of her mouth twitched slightly, Nora intentionally asked, "Did you call the police?"

"I was thinking about it," Pedro admitted honestly, "but upon hearing your voice, realized you’re one of us, figured I should protect instead."

"How exactly do you plan to protect?"

Nora tilted her head, raising her chin.

"If I’m being honest, I thought of at least ten ways to destroy the corpse and erase the traces."

"..."

Impressive! You’ll talk yourself to death!

Nora quickened her pace and walked ahead.

Pedro, being tall and long-legged, walked leisurely but could easily keep up with her.

He didn’t overtake, just stayed half a step behind her, his angle allowed him to see Nora’s profile, which was a rather pleasing picture to the eye.

After about half a minute of silence, Pedro lazily inquired, "Is this what your life in the Martial World usually involves?"

"If you can’t speak nicely, then shut up."

Nora gave him a chilly side-eye.

Pedro finally chuckled, reached out his hand, pulled her gently, and in high spirits, he changed the topic, "What would you like to eat tonight?"

"At this hour, how about barbecue..." Nora considered and then looked around, asking, "Did you drive here?"

"Yeah." Pedro paused, "Parked at the entrance."

"That far?"

"Wanted to take a stroll."

He truly came to wander the antiques market.

It was as if fate decided that while he was browsing for over half an hour, and just five minutes into Serendipity Pavilion, invited to the inner room for less than a minute, Nora came with people to wreck the place.

"Didn’t buy anything?"

"No."

Pedro didn’t specialize in antiques, but he wasn’t a fool either, besides, he had people at home who did, so he could tell the quality.

The entire time he wandered, it was all counterfeit junk.

"Collecting? Or gift-giving?"

"Gift-giving."

"Oh, what’s out there isn’t reliable. When you have time, I’ll take you to see the good stuff."

"Absolutely."

Pedro agreed.

Initially, Nora thought the road was long, but as they went on and chatted, time flew by quickly, and before she realized it, they had already reached the end of the street.
