Chapter 311 - 201: Encounter from a Year Ago and Meeting Kieran Shawn in Person [Part 3]_2

Matt Leung ultimately wasn’t rescued; he was found downstream two days later.

Throughout this incident, Nora Scott was unaware of the specifics and got involved unknowingly, learning only two useful pieces of information—

1. She heard them mention in their conversation that a batch of counterfeit goods was offloaded by the antique dealer at Serendipity Pavilion.

2. She saw the leader of the group, even though it was just for a few seconds, but later Michael Quinn managed to sketch a likeness that was seventy to eighty percent accurate.

Logically, this matter had nothing to do with Nora Scott.

However, with her friend Matt Leung dead, and her suffering losses and barely escaping with her life, she certainly wouldn’t ignore this matter.

Previously, she only let Benjamin Durant watch over things because her hospitalization was discovered by Antonio Easton, which scared him quite a bit. Nora Scott didn’t want him to continue worrying, let alone have any trouble before him, so she stayed quiet for a year, remaining honest in Fenton City, and basically didn’t do anything dangerous.

Now, this concern was gone.

"Hmm, but if we just keep watching and follow these people who forge antiques only a few times a year, we’re being a bit passive." Benjamin Durant analyzed, his brows gradually furrowing, "The progress is too slow."

"Hmm," Nora Scott replied rather nonchalantly, "Get a few people ready for me, pick an auspicious day, I want to go make a scene at Serendipity Pavilion."

"Seriously—"

Benjamin’s eyes lit up.

Before he could finish speaking, Nora interrupted him, "You’re not included."

"What’s wrong with me?"

Benjamin was dissatisfied, feeling discriminated against.

"Your Durant Family dominates the antique business. If you go, who do you want to represent and stir up trouble for?"

"..."

Benjamin was successfully convinced by her in a few words.

He sighed, feeling helpless, as he picked some greens with his chopsticks and put them in his mouth, the taste was bland.

Spending all day with Humphrey Jennings, life had completely lost its fun, and when Nora finally came back to Anchel to stir things up, he had to stand aside, watching eagerly, held back by his status.

It was extremely boring.

*

Last year, to "save" Biel Hall, Nora Scott sold two properties, one being a villa in Fenton City and the other in Anchel.

Without a place to stay, Benjamin prepared several residences for Nora Scott, including houses and villas in various areas, all of which were properties of the Master.

Nora Scott chose a residence close by and asked Benjamin for a car.

"Are you sure you want to live here?"

Benjamin escorted Nora Scott to the door, clearly unsatisfied with the surroundings.

"Hmm."

Nora answered without hesitation.

This place was relatively close to the music festival venue, and nearby was the Cloud Sky Hotel where Pedro Langley was going to stay.

Clearly, it was the ideal location.

Benjamin could only nod reluctantly, "Alright, let me know if you need anything."

"Got it."

Nora Scott didn’t bother with formalities.

"Then take care and rest well," Benjamin instructed, "Humphrey will be back tomorrow."

"Hmm."

Nora threw her backpack onto the sofa, waved him off, signaling for him to leave.

Considering Nora was somewhat of a life novice at Benjamin’s place, Benjamin still wasn’t at ease and explained various matters to her. After several minutes, Nora couldn’t bear it anymore and kicked him out.

Benjamin said with a heavy heart, "Master, it’s not that I’m nagging, annoying on purpose. My dad and maestro both instructed me to take good care of you. If you lose a single hair in Anchel, it’ll be on me."

"..."

In response to Benjamin was the "bang" of the door closing.

Staring at the tightly shut front door, Benjamin sighed heavily.

...

Due to catching a flight, early in the morning, Nora was woken by Pedro Langley, having had no chance to sleep amidst the turbulence.

Now, finally free, Nora took a bath and quickly felt weary, yawning as she entered the bedroom.

Then, just as she was about to get into bed, her phone began to chime.

[Kieran Shawn]: God Z, the manuscript for this week...

[Kieran Shawn]: It’s Tuesday today, only three days left until Friday.

???

Nora: "..."

She completely forgot about this task.

Narrowing her eyes, she stood still, her finger relaxed, "I’ll give it to you Thursday night."

Having said that, she relaxed her finger, sending a two-second voice message.

[Kieran Shawn]: ...

[Kieran Shawn]: ...

[Kieran Shawn]: ...

Seeing that she was about to be bombarded, Nora bafflingly sent a [?]in response.

It took a while for the other side to reply.

[Kieran Shawn]: Are you really a woman?

Faced with such skepticism, Nora couldn’t help but laugh and cry.

Ever since she admitted honestly to Kieran Shawn, he stopped calling her "old man" and reverted back to "God Z." However, even so, he refused to believe Zero was actually a woman.

As Nora thought, even if she outright admitted she was Zero, there would likely still be many claims of "riding the wave."
