Otome Game Mob Villain

Chapter 750

Chapter 750

"How about it, Onii-chan? Can you see from around here?"

"Wait a moment."

High above the Avian territory, Aria and I gradually approached the area where Ibi and the others were fighting monsters, trying to hide within the gaps in the clouds.

Looking down at the ground through the binoculars I borrowed from her, I could see a massive army of monsters, presumably overflowing from the dungeon, fiercely clashing with the members of the Guardian Ten Wings.

"...Yeah. From this position, it seems we can observe them without being noticed."

"Good. Then we'll hold position in this airspace."

"But if you sense danger or think we might be spotted, we run immediately."

When I lowered the binoculars and turned to her, she smiled and nodded with an "Okay!"

"I'll watch our surroundings while you look at the ground, Onii-chan."

"Yeah, thanks."

I looked down at the ground again through the binoculars.

The shimmering black distorted magic I saw from a distance did indeed seem to be a monster horde.

An immense number of monsters, likely spilled from the dungeon, swarmed the ground.

There were various types—humanoid ones reminiscent of goblins and orcs, beast types modeled after lions and bears, insect types like giant spiders and ants, and forms resembling dragons and giant serpents, all different sizes.

The common point was that every monster was pitch black all over, with glinting red eyes, giving not an impression of "living creatures" but rather of "artifacts created from magical power."

As previously heard from Rubens and literature, they were completely different from the monsters inhabiting the 'Demon Forest' in Renarute. In this case, it felt more accurate to call them 'magical beasts.'

As I observed these unfamiliar monsters, a thunderous roar and a pale blue pillar of fire suddenly erupted.

Startled, I looked in that direction to see Leus, enveloped in pale blue flames, charging into a group of monsters. He seemed to have already retrieved the massive greatsword 'Karma-Scorching Sword' he had thrown.

Each time Leus, in his wolfman Beast Transformation form with wings, swung his sword, monsters were engulfed in pale blue flames, howling in agony before turning into black smoke.

It appeared that monsters generated in the dungeon, when damaged beyond their limits, could not maintain their bodies and would dissipate.

Still, those figures enveloped in that 'pale blue flame' closely resembled the 'Body Enhancement: Blazing Fire' used by me, my father, and the knights of the Baldia Knight Order.

The nature seemed similar, but Blazing Fire didn't have that level of destructive power enhancement.

The higher the effect of enhancement magic, the greater the recoil on the caster.

Yet, Leus's movements showed no sign of being hampered by such recoil.

Also, his fighting style heavily favored close combat with weapons and martial arts.

Leus Padgry seemed to be a close-combat specialist utilizing Beast Transformation and that mysterious body enhancement.

While I watched, I saw a humanoid monster lunging from behind him.

Danger...?!

For a moment, my blood ran cold through the binoculars, but the monster's movement abruptly stopped. Soon after, its body fell apart neatly, as if sliced by a mesh, and dissipated.

"Ugh..."

Although no blood came out since it was a monster, the scene was so shocking and grotesque that I instinctively lowered the binoculars and gagged.

"Onii-chan, what's wrong?"

"N-no, it's nothing. I'm fine, don't worry."

"...?"

As Aria tilted her head in confusion, I smiled softly, narrowed my eyes, and looked through the binoculars again.

Then, I could make out a figure near Leus who appeared to be Rhea Padgry.

She had the appearance of a ratman Beast Transformation with wings, but what was astonishing was her fighting style.

Even at the checkpoint, I was surprised, but she seemed able to freely manipulate her own hair.

The strength of her hair also appeared tremendous, as she dismembered monsters that closed in around her one after another.

Judging from their movements, the monsters' cognitive abilities weren't high. They probably didn't understand how Rhea was attacking.

They seemed to charge blindly into her attack range and get torn apart.

Even in a fight against people, an opponent who knew nothing would likely be instantly dismembered or easily restrained—a true 'first-encounter killer.'

Indeed, it seemed wise to learn about the Ten Wings' power, even at some risk.

Just then, in a location separate from where Leus and Rhea were, a tremendous dust cloud billowed up.

Wondering what it was, I looked to see a giant figure clad in full armor except for wings on its back, scattering monsters as if crushing them underfoot.

That was undoubtedly Redbear Padgry.

It closely resembled the enlarged form of Kamui Magenta, the Bearman Clan Chief, in his Beast Transformation.

It was like a small-scale strategic weapon, or perhaps closest to the 'giant robots' from my memories of a past life.

When Redbear struck the ground, spiked rocks formed from the earth, impaling the surrounding monsters.

It seemed he possessed an earth attribute aptitude.

As the impaled monsters dissipated and the spiked rocks crumbled away, a new wave rushed at Redbear.

However, a figure writhing with black magical power leapt from his back.

Judging by that nasty glare and the familiar black magic, it was probably Endio Padgry.

Endio, in his tanukiman Beast Transformation form with wings, was using his writhing black magic to restrain monsters one after another.

The restrained monsters didn't dissipate as before but seemed to vanish, swallowed up by the black magic Endio controlled.

Even witnessing this, the monsters showed no fear and attacked, but the next moment, Endio generated a giant black whip, sweeping away and simultaneously swallowing the monsters in one go.

Perhaps Endio was fighting while absorbing the monsters as magical power.

Even if they are monsters generated from magic, to absorb them as the caster's magic...

Although there must be some condition for this absorption, I couldn't confirm that far.

For someone like me who fights primarily with magic, he might be a natural enemy.

While observing Redbear and Endio, I noticed they saw something, panicked, and started moving from their spot.

Wondering what was wrong, I looked in the direction they were facing. Just then, a tornado abruptly whirled up.

Surrounding monsters were sucked into the tornado one after another, torn apart mercilessly before dissipating.

It seemed the tornado was embedded with blades of wind magic.

Looking closely, at the center of the tornado was a woman with peach-colored hair flowing, eyes closed, playing a flute.

She had the appearance of a monkeyman Beast Transformation with wings.

Judging by her hair color, she was probably 'Luzanda Padgry.'

When she opened her eyes and stopped playing the flute, the tornado vanished instantly.

Luzanda raised the corners of her mouth, showing sharp double fangs as she began to laugh.

Even from a distance, her gaze seemed maniacal, or rather, belligerent.

It was likely wind-attribute magic, but I had never seen a tornado of that scale being generated.

I might be able to generate one if I tried, but freely controlling it would probably require extensive training.

As I marveled, a shadow holding a crimson great scythe dashed beneath Luzanda as she flew, slicing through the new wave of monsters like a passing strike.

However, its movements were too fast and irregular to follow even with binoculars.

When it finally stopped, I could make out the form of a cowman Beast Transformation with wings.

Judging from that crimson great scythe, it was probably 'Tess Padgry.'

Unlike his timid demeanor at the checkpoint, he now radiated a grotesque aura, his gaze suspicious and his mouth twisted.

Then again, he would clutch his head or hug himself right in the middle of enemy lines.

Naturally, monsters attacked him during these moments, but they were successively bisected along with red streaks of light.

From a distance, I couldn't discern his sword strokes or movements at all.

Soon, as monsters grouped up and surged towards Tess, he collapsed onto the ground.

Wondering what happened, vines sprouted from around Tess, restraining the monsters.

Tess swayed as he stood up, raised his great scythe, and sent red streaks flying, cutting down and dispersing the monsters.

I was dumbfounded, yet his unpredictable movements reminded me of a martial art called 'drunken fist.'

I absolutely don't want to face that kind of opponent; they are too difficult to handle.

In Tess's case, besides his unpredictable, irregular movements, he also had tree-attribute binding magic.

He was probably another 'first-encounter killer' type.

As Tess cut down monsters, making them dissipate one after another, he suddenly clutched his head and crouched down.

Seizing the opportunity, monsters lunged at him, but a black horse with wings—no, a black pegasus—descended from the sky, scattering them and seeming to protect him.

The black pegasus glared at the monster horde, dug its four hooves into the ground, and opened its mouth wide.
