Otome Game Mob Villain

Chapter 545

Chapter 545

"Everyone, sorry to keep you waiting."

As Amon entered the conference room and spoke, the fox tribe nobles seated inside stood up and bowed slightly.

Following them, I, Diana, Capella, Dynas, and the squad leaders of the Second Knight Order entered the room.

When Amon signaled with his hand, the nobles sat down again.

In the room, a long conference table was set up, with the nobles seated around it.

At a glance, it seemed that most of the nobles were older.

Among them was Gabriel, whom I had interacted with outside the mansion.

Amon noticed an empty seat in the conference room and tilted his head.

"Lord Gabriel. I don't see your father, Lord Remos, here."

"My apologies. My father came in a separate carriage and should be arriving shortly."

"I see. Understood."

Amon nodded and took his seat at the head of the table, reserved for the tribe leader.

Next to him, Rafa was seated, waving her hand.

The seat next to her was empty, but I glanced at another vacant seat nearby.

"Amon, is this seat okay?"

"Ah, I don't mind. I was planning to have Rid sit next to either me or my sister."

As I sat down next to him, Rafa exaggeratedly shrugged her shoulders.

"Oh, so you're sitting there. How disappointing."

"I have a lot to confirm with Amon during the meeting."

I smiled back at her, and Amon took a deep breath, surveying the room.

"Well, there are still some who haven't arrived yet..."

"No, no. My apologies for being late."

Just as he was about to start the meeting, the door opened.

A fox tribe man with yellow hair, sharp blue eyes, and striking features entered the room.

"...Lord Remos. I believe I made it clear that punctuality was expected for today's meeting."

Barbarossa, seated near me and Amon, glared at Remos, but Remos remained unfazed and sat down next to Gabriel.

"Haha, my apologies. The carriage broke down on the way. Lord Amon, please forgive me."

"Ah, yes. That can't be helped."

Amon nodded in response to Remos, but the situation wasn't ideal.

It gave the impression that Remos was the one in charge, which was likely intentional.

Rafa, leaning back in her chair, seemed indifferent.

I rested my chin on my hand, pondering what to do.

It might be good to step forward, but considering Amon's position, it might be better to wait and see.

Glancing at Capella and Dynus, they gave a slight nod.

It seemed better to hold off for now.

Diana was smiling, but it was clear she was angry.

Well, the meeting had just started, and clashes were inevitable as things progressed.

For now, it was best to observe.

Just then, I accidentally made eye contact with Remos.

He stroked his chin and muttered, "Hmm."

"Now, Lord Amon. If I may, could you introduce the person next to you to us?"

"Of course. Lid, is that okay?"

"Certainly."

I stood up and looked around at the fox tribe nobles.

"Some of you may already know me, but let me introduce myself again. I am Lid Baldia, son of Lord Rainer Baldia, who governs the Baldia territory within the Magnolia Empire. I am here as a substitute for my father, who was unable to attend. Pleased to meet you all."

As I finished my introduction, murmurs of "Oh" and light applause filled the room.

Among them, Remos nodded exaggeratedly.

"So, you are the famous 'Unconventional Prodigy' Lid Baldia, who defeated Elba. I had heard rumors, but I never expected you to be the same age as Lord Amon. I would love to see the power that defeated Elba someday."

"Indeed. If the need arises, I will have no choice but to show it. Though, I hope such an occasion never comes."

I narrowed my eyes and smiled, releasing a bit of my magical energy.

The walls creaked, the table trembled slightly, and the nobles felt a pressure that seemed to constrict their bodies.

"Ngh..."

"What is this..."

As Remos, Gabriel, and the other nobles furrowed their brows, I stopped releasing my energy.

"I thought it would be hard to understand with just words, so I decided to give a small demonstration. Please forgive me."

The atmosphere, which had been dominated by Remos, had now softened a bit.

I bowed slightly, and Amon cleared his throat to gather the attention of the murmuring nobles.

"Well then, let's start the meeting."

"Alright. First, we'll present the 'Fox Tribe Reconstruction Five-Year Plan' that we've prepared for everyone here."

After exchanging glances, Diana and Capella began distributing the documents to the nobles.

"The Fox Tribe Reconstruction Five-Year Plan, you say? Lord Amon, I haven't heard of such a plan before."

"My apologies, Lord Remos. This reconstruction plan marks a departure from the past ways of the fox tribe. Therefore, it's something I've been considering for a while, and I consulted with Baldia to finalize it."

Remos looked displeased, but Amon remained firm.

"However..."

"There's no need to be so critical, Lord Remos. This plan was created by Lord Amon and Lord Lid with the 'wisdom of the rapidly developing Baldia.' Regardless of the content, we should at least listen."

Barbarossa's soothing words made the other nobles nod in agreement.

Remos snorted and reluctantly accepted the documents from Capella.

From the looks of it, most of the nobles were as skeptical as Remos, tilting their heads as they received the documents.

From what Amon and Barbarossa had said, this was the first time such a document-based meeting was being held.

Eventually, Capella and Diana finished distributing the documents and bowed to signal the completion.

"Alright. It seems everyone has received the documents. We'll take questions later, so let's start with the general overview. Amon, is it okay if I explain?"

"Ah, please go ahead."

Actually, this was all part of the plan we had discussed earlier.

With Amon's approval, I began explaining the plan based on the documents.

"So, any questions?"

After finishing the explanation of the 'Fox Tribe Reconstruction Five-Year Plan,' I smiled at the nobles.

"I will never accept such a plan. Absolutely not!"

Remos roared, slamming his fist on the table.

But I calmly asked, "Lord Remos. Why can't you accept it?"

"Don't mess with me. How can you expect us to agree to 'fully exempting taxes for five years'? No matter the reason, that's impossible."

Hmm, just as I expected.

Though Remos was the one raising his voice, the other nobles were also glaring at us in agreement.

I paused for a moment, took a deep breath, and glared back at them.

"Don't mess with me, you say? That's my line. Let me ask you this: despite our detailed explanation and the documents we provided, do you still not understand the current situation? If so, you're quite incompetent."

"W-what did you say...?!"

The nobles were taken aback by my sudden change in tone.

But Rafa seemed to be enjoying it.
