Chen Meiyi let out a soft sigh and hugged them back. "You two are grown women now, but you're crying like little girls."

"Mother, I'm glad you're back," Ye Ling spoke while sobbing.

Ye Lian hugged Chen Meiyi tighter. "Mother, I missed you so much in the past thousand years. I was devastated when I heard about the rebellion, and I thought I would never see you again."

"Foolish girl! How could we not meet again?" Their cries made Chen Meiyi's heart soften. "I'm sorry I made you wait so long for me to return."

Hearing the two women cry so loudly, Chen Long suddenly blurted out, "They are such crybabies."

Feng Xian'er turned to her son. "You can't speak like that, Long'er. You don't know their relationship with Big Sis Meiyi, and they've been waiting for her return for a thousand years."
