Chapter 1987 - 1010: The Devout Martyr (Part 3)

Chapter 1987 - 1010: The Devout Martyr (Part 3)

But, which grows faster, the development of a dozen Juvenile Dragons or a unified empire with wise leadership?

The Great Dragon is indeed a calamity that cannot be managed by human power, yet in the face of a strong and united nation, even calamities must bow down.

Sophia knew that the young lady had already secured her victory.

The focus of attention moving forward isn’t on war; a one-sided battle can hardly be called a war.

What remains to be seen is to what extent the young lady can lead this Winter Empire.

Hmm, it’s time to solve the issue of unity in this newly established Winter Empire; they need a common faith.

.....

On the other hand, Dorothy indeed, as Sophia expected, had completely forgotten she was still playing a war game against others; her mind was now filled with various plans to strengthen the military and the nation, various technological tree lighting sequences, and commercial road layouts.

War? What war? Farming is much more fun than fighting.

"Yes, Elsa, you’ve done very well, far better than I anticipated."

She praised the Empress of Ice and Snow in front of her without hesitation.

This was indeed her heartfelt sentiment.

Although Elsa was the initial hero character she specifically selected, she hadn’t truly expected this child to achieve the current extent.

In the rating of this war chess game, Elsa was actually just an R-level hero, merely a slight strength above the lowest N-level heroes, completely incomparable to the top-tier SR or SSR heroes.

But the human faction’s hero pool hardly contained many high-level heroes, with the highest actually being SR-level, like Steam Tutor Walter, Thunder Law King Trass, Meteor Sage Isaac, Quantum Philosopher Albert, etc.

Yet Dorothy didn’t choose those SR cards as her initial hero but chose the R-level Elsa.

Solely because this hero was named [Suffering Martyr (R)].

[Suffering Martyr (R): This is a true believer; even death cannot make her betray her faith, it’s faith that has forsaken her.]

Under the Moon God mode, Dorothy immediately noticed this trait, undoubtedly the trait most suitable for her; in fact, she chose the human faction specifically because of Elsa.

For the Homebody Witch, there is nothing more valuable than trustworthiness because in this kind of game where she can’t personally enter the field, serving only as a behind-the-scenes player directing agents, an agent who unconditionally trusts her and will never betray is extremely important.

Dorothy doesn’t regard any talent or lack thereof while playing such games; even the most talented mortals merely have a bit of cleverness in her eyes, only needing a helper who won’t be a hindrance or mess things up.

Yet, the Homebody Witch had to admit, she seemed to have underestimated this assistant.

She initially thought Elsa only needed to accomplish the tasks she assigned, but the other party did far better than she had imagined; she only required Elsa to consistently achieve 60 points, a passing level.

After all, she was simply an R-level hero, limited in ability, some things were beyond her capacity despite the intention being present.

But now, the Winter Empire is the answer sheet Elsa presented to her.

Dorothy was willing to give it 120 points.

This savior of the Northern Territory isn’t her, the witch, but Elsa, the Empress of Ice and Snow.

Perhaps others would think Elsa’s current achievements were due to the protection of the Goddess, but only Dorothy, the Goddess, knew just how hard this child had worked over the years.

"Elsa, I have witnessed your devotion, so it’s time to define your true faith."

"But before that, I still need to confirm with you once more."

"I ask you, are you prepared to embark on a path where you may never reach the end?"

Miss Moon Goddess suddenly became solemn, earnestly addressing the believer before her.

"Yes, I have long been prepared."

Elsa replied calmly.

Not only do deities select believers, but believers also choose the deities; over the past thirty years, she had already determined that the one before her was the True God she was willing to devote everything to.

Thus, deity and human laughed together.

"Then take it away."

Miss Moon Goddess handed over the Holy Hammer she held.

Elsa reached out with both hands to grasp the seemingly ordinary hammer.

"Genesis"

Once in hand, countless words on the hammer’s body emitted dazzling golden light, then the words moved like fish and snakes, spreading over the Empress of Ice and Snow’s entire body along her hands, and ultimately inscribing upon her soul.

The next moment, Elsa knew the hammer’s name.

Simultaneously, she understood what the Goddess before her truly expected of her.

"It’s too late to regret now; even if you wanted to, it would cling to you like a curse."

The Goddess suddenly became less authoritative, saying so rather roguishly.

Elsa held the hammer in her hands more tightly, her face beaming with a bright smile.

"I shall not regret even after a hundred deaths."

She responded thus.

Miss Martyr once again regained faith, but this time, her faith would accompany her forever.

Then, she awoke from the dream.

Elsa opened her eyes; the sky was already growing light, and outside the palace, the cheering of the people arose, all were eagerly anticipating the establishment of the Winter Empire.

So, the Empress of Ice and Snow walked outside the hall, raising the Holy Hammer in her hand.

....Establishing Mechanical Church....
