Chapter 392 392: Naruto, the Nine Tails Rebellion

Land of Fire, Konoha Village.

A massive Nine Tails fox was rampaging through the village, destroying everything in its path.

One after another, ninjas threw themselves forward, trying to stop the demon fox from tearing apart their homes.

Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage, had just settled his newborn son and his weakened wife Kushina before rushing back into the village to deal with the disaster.

But after using Flying Thunder God to transfer the Nine Tails' Tailed Beast Bomb, he was attacked again by the mysterious masked man. Left with no choice, Minato had to temporarily set aside the Nine Tails and deal with the masked intruder first.

What followed was a thrilling clash of space time ninjutsu.

While the Nine Tails continued its rampage, the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, finally arrived with ANBU and jonin reinforcements to confront it. But even then, they clearly lacked the power to suppress the violent beast.

At that moment, almost every major figure who had once shaken the Five Great Nations seemed absent.

Only countless ordinary village ninjas rushed in first, and they were quickly slaughtered beneath the Nine Tails' claws.

And once the Nine Tails resurrected, it might be captured by another village, or worse, by the masked man, letting him continue some unknown and terrifying plan.

So Minato chose to leave the Nine Tails in Konoha.

He would seal it into Naruto, so that one day his son could become the hero who protected the village.

After only a brief argument with Kushina, Minato had already made his decision.

He immediately used the Eight Trigrams Seal to seal the Nine Tails' Yang chakra and Kushina's chakra into Naruto.

Then he used the forbidden technique, Shiki Fuujin, to seal his own soul and the Nine Tails' Yin chakra into the belly of the Death God.

The sealing ceremony was prepared quickly.

A huge Death God appeared behind him.

But neither Minato nor Kushina noticed that the eyes of this Death God had changed.

They no longer looked mechanical.

They looked… alive.

Seeing the Namikaze couple calmly discussing how to deal with him in front of his face, Kurama flew into a rage. Taking advantage of Kushina's weakness and momentary lapse, he lashed out with a claw toward Naruto.

The Death God, which should have vanished the moment Shiki Fuujin was completed, remained.

After receiving the sacrifices of Minato's soul and the Nine Tails' Yin chakra, the Death God, Jin, began to move.

"Minato Namikaze's soul should have plenty of useful things in it. His body also has spatial affinity. Most importantly, he's the Fourth Hokage, which makes him the perfect host."

Brook smiled.

If he could replace Minato Namikaze, then this would be an absurdly strong start in the Naruto world.

But Kushina and the Third Hokage had both witnessed Minato's death.

That made things inconvenient.

Just kill them and silence everyone.

He did not want souls to be completely erased.

Faced with the sudden arrival of the Sage of Six Paths, Sarutobi Hiruzen, who had just escaped death, and the dying Kushina both changed expressions violently.

"If you refuse, then I'll rebuild it in my own way. But I hope you won't interfere."

Brook lied so smoothly that even he almost believed himself.

The truth was much simpler. If he were not still wary of Hagoromo's Six Paths sealing methods, he would have acted long ago.

"What?"

Hagoromo was clearly shaken.

He already knew his mother, Otsutsuki Kaguya, was an alien.

But he had never imagined that the ancestors of the Otsutsuki had actually killed true gods.

"How else do you think you got your Rinnegan?" Brook sneered, openly hostile toward the Otsutsuki bloodline.

"Then why did you kill them?" Hagoromo asked quickly.

He calmed himself down just as fast, refusing to believe Brook's words completely.

The ancient sins of the Otsutsuki did not matter much to him.

What mattered was protecting the ninja world.

Still, he was clearly interested in the clan's deeper secrets.

"I need to unify the human world as fast as possible," Brook said coldly, "and gather all humans carrying divine bloodlines so I can complete the reconstruction of reincarnation."

"Most of those bloodlines descend from your Otsutsuki clan. They carry fragments of the divine authority your people stole."

"So you plan to kill those ninjas who inherited divine power?" Hagoromo's tone darkened. He had already seen Brook's real purpose, seize their power.

"For the sake of this world's reincarnation, those humans with divine bloodlines will merely change form and continue existing as souls," Brook said without blinking. "Then I can allow them to live in the new Hell."

He paused, then added another blow.

"And more than ten years from now, the brutal clan members behind the Otsutsuki will arrive with the second and third Ten Tails to eliminate your mother, Otsutsuki Kaguya, the traitor."

"When that happens, this planet will be drained dry by the Divine Tree and destroyed."

Brook spoke to the Sage of Six Paths in an icy voice while secretly using [Dead Demon Consuming Seal] authority to read the soul memories of Minato and Kushina.

At the same time, he fed both souls a bit of ghost energy and Underworld energy, hoping to stabilize them in soul form.

They would become his first ghost generals.

While Hagoromo was still reeling from Brook's words, Brook discovered something else.

Something useful.

He reached underground with one hand and suddenly dragged out a White Zetsu.

Brook's eyes lit up.

Now he knew how to remain in this world.
