One Pet Gets Married

Chapter 46

Chapter 46

The bag fell to the ground as Tang You'an stood motionless, her gaze fixed on Song Xici, unable to look away. Her mind was a jumble of thoughts.

"Why are you sweating so much?" Song Xici reached out to wipe her forehead.

"Maybe I drank too much..." Tang You'an looked at her lips and fair neck. "It's affecting my brain... making me think strange things."

"Why don't you rest on the sofa first? I'll cook and bring it to you," Song Xici said, adjusting Tang You'an's collar and smoothing it down.

Then Song Xici turned and walked to the kitchen.

Her shirt was a bit large and loose, falling just above her knees. It was slightly sheer, allowing a glimpse of her hazy silhouette.

Tang You'an watched her retreating figure, tilted her head back to look at the ceiling, then bent down to pick up her bag. She walked to the sofa, sat down, and rubbed her temples.

She felt unwell... but she didn't even have a trustworthy person to confide in, and the internet was reportedly too unsafe. She didn't know where to release all these emotions.

Looking up at the honey water and small plate of cake on the coffee table, Tang You'an picked up the honey water and took a few sips, then picked up the plate of cake.

On the white plate, the small cake was square-shaped, layered with cake, cream, and red strawberry slices. A small silver fork lay beside it.

She took a bite and found it sweet and tangy, but not too rich. Probably because Song Xici made it, she finished it all.

Tang You'an suddenly began to ponder what happiness really was. When she first arrived here, knowing nothing like a child, she was quite happy. Later, as her curiosity grew and she began to explore constantly, that process was also enjoyable. Now, knowing more things, she felt less at ease.

Her desires for various things had also quietly risen. Whether for her career or for Song Xici.

Tossing the fork back onto the white plate, Tang You'an took out her phone to check the date for entering the film crew. She found it wasn't far off, coinciding with the premiere date of the previously recorded show. Originally, Tang You'an had wanted to watch the show at home with Song Xici.

Ouyang Du was efficient in his work, setting the dates for the opening ceremony and other events right after confirming the roles.

So, she should probably start packing in the next couple of days. However, this filming would take place in another city, not in Rongcheng, which Tang You'an was looking forward to.

After some thought, Tang You'an went online again.

She saw that after the news of Song Xici being cast as Xiao Yujun broke, a group of fanatics started stirring up trouble again. Although no one knew exactly what the story was about, Ouyang Du had revealed in an interview that the second female lead was quite alluring.

So everyone was criticizing, saying Song Xici wasn't suitable for this role at all, and that having her play it would be a waste.

Most marketing accounts were setting a tone of contempt towards Song Xici, but the comments from ordinary netizens were somewhat better. Although still infuriating to read, they weren't completely lacking in civility.

Until Tang You'an stumbled upon a comment saying "@Pilgrimage Site, you'll get to know a new Song Xici."

So Tang You'an clicked on the blogger called "Pilgrimage Site" and saw a nine-grid photo post with various sultry period costume GIFs of female stars. The first was Liao Bixin, swaying her fox tail, lounging on a crystal chair in ice-blue clothing, resting her hand under her chin with a seductive gaze.

The middle image was a GIF of Song Xici playing her typical confused innocent role, like lowering her head and biting her lip when the male lead approaches.

The post's caption read: "Little White Song actually beat so many people to get this role, impressive, impressive."

Opening the comments, Tang You'an saw a string of sarcastic remarks, all using words that normal fans would never use.

Comments like "Little White's eternal innocent face, how did she suddenly become so powerful this time?", "Who dares say Ouyang Du doesn't have eyes, please die first. Didn't he see clearly when Little White was writhing under him last night?", "Haha lol, how blind must White fans be to firmly believe she got here on talent alone?"...

In short, each one was more offensive than the last.

Tang You'an frowned deeply, suppressing her anger, then clicked into the blogger's profile. The bio read "White-mocking site, White fans get lost, don't come looking for trouble," with about 20,000 followers.

The pinned post said:

"Not a professional hater, not paid. Don't ask why I mock White White, I just can't stand her, okay? Am I not allowed to dislike someone? Does everyone have to like her? This isn't a dictatorship, it's just a gathering place for people who can't stand her. If White fans can't take it, please go back to washing your idol's feet, don't make me verbally abuse you to tears and then say I'm bad. Please cooperate, thanks."

It was accompanied by an unflattering photo of Song Xici.

The second Weibo post read: "This blog just started and already has 20,000 followers, impressive. I thought she was a nobody that not many people would remember."

The top comment was: "Indirect proof that Little White has more anti-fans than normal fans. If she knew this bloody truth, she'd probably go home crying~ After all, she's the type to cry when she waits a while on set without getting to film her scene. [Funny]"

Below were a bunch of agreeing comments.

Tang You'an immediately recalled the story Song Xici had told her before. It was from when Song Xici was still a student and newcomer, filming a scene where she waited all night without getting her turn, so she went back with swollen eyes from crying. At the time, Tang You'an had criticized the director, but Song Xici had stopped her from saying that.

Even this could be mocked... Tang You'an felt that fandom culture had truly gone mad. These people who had lost their minds would latch onto the tiniest things and infinitely exaggerate them for mockery and abuse. How unsatisfying must their lives be for their resentment to become so intense?

Continuing to scroll down, Tang You'an found that this person would seize on various points about Song Xici and start wildly speculating and mocking.

For instance, the post Song Xici had accidentally liked was interpreted as her hiring the writer herself, or possibly even writing it herself, then staging the whole thing for attention and vulgar self-promotion.

Comments below even claimed Song Xici was a diva behind the scenes and so on.

Although the blog had only been open for a short time, it had already posted quite a lot of content, from her debut until now. The blogger must really hate Song Xici to have been closely following her for so long before starting the blog. Otherwise, where would all this information come from?

So who was this blogger? Tang You'an checked the location, which only showed "Overseas."

Holding her phone in her left hand, Tang You'an fiddled with her fingers, staring at it for a long time.

As she looked, her head still feeling dizzy, Tang You'an used a small account to follow the "Pilgrimage Site" blog, then put her phone aside. She leaned her head back against the sofa and rubbed her forehead.

At this moment in the kitchen, Song Xici looked at the noodles in the pot and couldn't help but let out a sigh to the empty air. Tang You'an's expression just now, did she misunderstand? Or was it just her own misunderstanding?!

Either way, it was embarrassing! Thinking about it, Song Xici put down the long bamboo chopsticks she was using to stir the noodles, then covered her face with her hands and jumped up and down several times on the spot. Really, she had no face left!

Heavens, this was too much. With one careless move, she had nearly broken her own waist with embarrassment!

Tang You'an had only dozed off briefly when she heard footsteps nearby, so she opened her eyes and looked over.

She saw Song Xici carrying a bowl of noodles and a pair of chopsticks, gracefully walking over and placing them on the coffee table in front of her.

There were some oil droplets floating on the soup, but it was still relatively clear. Soft white noodles were topped with some fish cakes and sliced char siu pork, sprinkled with green onions. It smelled deliciously fragrant.

"I followed a recipe. Want to try it?" Song Xici said, offering her the chopsticks.

Tang You'an looked at the noodles in front of her, then back at Song Xici. She was standing right next to her, and although the shirt hem reached her thighs, certain important areas were still vaguely visible, impossible to ignore.

Taking the chopsticks, Tang You'an stirred the noodles a bit. At this moment, Song Xici turned to get a bottle of milk from the refrigerator and a script from a small drawer, then walked back towards Tang You'an.

"You finished the cake too? Was it good?" Placing the script on the coffee table, Song Xici held the milk carton and sat down next to Tang You'an.

Tang You'an was picking up a bundle of noodles when she turned her head and saw Song Xici adjusting the hem of her shirt over her legs. In the light, her legs looked snow-white and firm.

"It was delicious, much better than what you get in restaurants," Tang You'an nodded, putting the noodles in her mouth.

In fact, it was quite tasty, absolutely delicious. The noodles were slightly soft, lacking some chewiness, but it wasn't a big deal. She was a bit surprised that Song Xici could improve her culinary skills to this extent in such a short time, with a taste reminiscent of rich broth. Of course, she didn't know Song Xici had added a soup concentrate. Also, she might have automatically applied a taste bud filter for Song Xici.

"If it's good, eat more." Song Xici said, propping her legs up and opening the script on her lap, drinking milk while reading.

After biting off a piece of vegetable, Tang You'an thought for a moment, then took out a tissue to wipe her lips. "By the way, did you get someone to fix the kitchen window?"

"Oh, it's been fixed already." Song Xici looked up and glanced in that direction.

"That's good." Tang You'an nodded.

After a while, Tang You'an finished the noodles and put down her chopsticks. She thought for a moment, then carefully asked, "Did you go online later today?"

"How could an internet addict not go online?" Song Xici put the milk on the coffee table.

"Then..."

"Are you worried I'll be upset about netizens questioning me?" Song Xici turned her head to look at her.

"Won't you be upset, Xici?" Tang You'an's brows furrowed. "This isn't just questioning anymore, many of them are outright attacking you."

It was impossible not to be upset, of course. Tang You'an hadn't seen Song Xici screaming at her phone to Meng Meng.

But Song Xici didn't want Tang You'an to worry too much, so she shook her head. "I've long since developed an indestructible body. Let them say what they want. Or think of it this way—being hated is a necessary step on the path to fame."

Tang You'an heard this and clenched her hand, saying nothing.

"Alright, don't worry about it. As long as my new movie is well-made and people approve of it, everything will be fine. But the premise is that I really have to act well, or else I'll truly be mocked all over the internet." Song Xici turned another page of the script.

Tang You'an nodded. "You can definitely do it."

"Not necessarily. I'm quite nervous," Song Xici shook her head. "I've never played this kind of role before. She's not only a bit morally ambiguous, but also an extremely alluring woman who's always flirting with Feng Liuyue and such. For me to become her, the difficulty level is really quite high."

After saying this, Song Xici lightly clenched her fist and rested it under her chin, turning to look at Tang You'an with slightly parted lips. "Don't you think?"

"High?" Tang You'an looked at her slightly open collar and raised an eyebrow. Sorry, but at least today... she didn't think so.

"Yes, look at the roles I've played before. Who was like this? Even 'Butterfly Wings' was just a bit more risqué, but the character setting wasn't like this." Song Xici looked back at Tang You'an.

Then, Song Xici fingered the pages of the script with her slender hand and said, "I'm really afraid I'll disappoint Director Ouyang when the time comes."

Hearing this, Tang You'an also looked at the script. "That shouldn't happen, right? After all, Director Ouyang chose you, which proves he was satisfied with your audition."

"But maybe that day I was just lucky and performed well by chance, right? Oh... what should I do..." Song Xici sighed.

Tang You'an pondered for a moment. "Or, we could explore it together these few days? After all, we have a lot of scenes together, so we can practice."

"Okay..." Song Xici smiled and clapped her hands after hearing this.

"But don't worry too much. I think... you're fully capable of this role," Tang You'an lowered her eyes to look at the floor. "Actually... sometimes, you're quite sexy."

Sexy? This was the first time Song Xici had heard Tang You'an use this word to describe her.

"You mean me?" After hearing this, Song Xici took her feet out of her slippers and put them on the sofa. She leaned to one side with her legs together, then reached out to place her hand on Tang You'an's shoulder, lightly pressing her fingertips there.

Tang You'an turned her head to look at her and said, "Who else?"

"Really?" Song Xici continued to lean in. "I'm curious, tell me, where am I sexy..."

Song Xici pressed down on the drumbeat in her heart, then moved a bit closer to her, looking at her attractive profile.

"I..." Tang You'an unconsciously started feeling hot again.

"Were you lying?" Song Xici asked.

"Of course not." Tang You'an closed her eyes for a moment.

"You'an, look at me." Song Xici then turned Tang You'an's chin towards her.

So Tang You'an had to open her eyes and look at her.

"Tell me." Song Xici stared at her steadily.

"You today."

"Because I showed you part of my body?" Song Xici gazed at her, her voice soft.

Tang You'an looked up at her, a fine sheen of sweat forming on her back again, her throat incredibly dry. "What do you think?"

Song Xici heard this, lowered her eyes to look to the side, then after a while asked, "Then, do you think it looks good?"

"It looks good." Tang You'an's throat bobbed as her gaze moved from Song Xici's body back to her face.

"What's your definition of 'looks good'?"

Tang You'an closed her eyes briefly, then turned to look at her again. "It makes people feel desire when they look at it."

"The desire you're talking about, you mean..." The atmosphere between them had imperceptibly become delicate again. But this was exactly what Song Xici wanted.

Tang You'an lowered her head, then raised it again. "To be blunt, it makes people want you."

"So, you mean... I make you feel this kind of desire?" As Song Xici spoke, she shook Tang You'an's shoulder again.

"Xici, let me ask you, do you really trust me that much... aren't you afraid I'll do something to you?" At this point, Tang You'an reached out and placed her hand on Song Xici's neck.

Song Xici couldn't help but shrink back a little, feeling her neck start to heat up.

"Didn't you want me to be less distant with you? What's wrong, I'm doing as you asked, and now you can't handle it?" After quickly gathering her thoughts, Song Xici smiled again.

"It's just that... right now I..." Tang You'an looked at her pink lips. "My head is a bit fuzzy, and I don't know what strange things I might do. Aren't you afraid?"

"Strange things, what do you mean? Tell me." Song Xici continued to ask.

"I don't know." Tang You'an felt her self-control was about to be completely destroyed by the woman in front of her.

"Then... what do you want to do to me?" Song Xici met her gaze, suddenly feeling a bit nervous.

"If I did it, would you forgive me?" Tang You'an looked at her, no longer sure if this was reality, an illusion, or a dream.

Song Xici looked at her, eyes still wide open, but unable to speak.

"Of course I would forgive you..." After a long moment, Song Xici finally uttered these words, her face and neck, along with her body, feeling even hotter.

Tang You'an looked at her for a moment, feeling her heart beating harder and harder. Then she put her hand on Song Xici's back, tilted her head slightly, and kissed Song Xici's lips. Initially, she had only wanted to show Song Xici what she wanted to do, to scare her a little, but once their lips met, Tang You'an felt like a ship that had lost control, unable to follow its normal course, only drifting further and further away. She proceeded to part Song Xici's teeth, sliding in to plunder and occupy everything.

Without realizing it, Song Xici's hand on Tang You'an's shoulder tightened its grip, her body inexplicably tensing under Tang You'an's breath, then subtly softening.

The kiss was deep and long. Song Xici felt she could barely handle it, her breathing so rapid it was frightening, yet at the same time, she hoped it wouldn't end too quickly.

"I'm sorry..." After a long while, Tang You'an left her lips but continued to hold her, resting her chin on Song Xici's shoulder and closing her eyes. "I really might have... because of the alcohol..."

Tang You'an breathed softly, feeling her headache worsening. What on earth was she doing?

"Is this what you want to do to me?" Song Xici asked after catching her breath, turning her head slightly.

"Mm..." Tang You'an couldn't deny it. "I'm sorry..."

"I forgive you," Song Xici's eyes flickered. "Is this... all you want to do to me?"

"Mm." Tang You'an nodded, slowly releasing Song Xici, looking quite disheveled.

Afterward, Tang You'an sat back in her original position, rubbed her temples, then picked up a glass of water and drank.

"By the way, how much did you drink today?" Song Xici turned to look at her and asked.

"I don't know. I just know I toasted quite a few people and drank several rounds." Tang You'an held the water glass, gesturing outward.

"It's strange that you drank so much today without getting completely drunk. How come last time you got drunk after just two bottles?" Song Xici tilted her head to look at her.

"Maybe the alcohol content was different. Wait, which time?" Tang You'an couldn't quite remember, having no recollection of what Song Xici was talking about.

"The time when you..." Song Xici's fingers pressed against the script paper on her leg, her chest rising and falling as she turned her head. "When you got drunk and forcefully kissed me, and even..."

Song Xici gritted her teeth: "Wanted to sleep with me."

Tang You'an, who had been drinking water, nearly choked when she heard Song Xici's words.

She quickly put down the glass and turned to look at Song Xici with some alarm, covering her mouth as she coughed violently: "How come I don't remember that?"

"You really do pull people to do that kind of thing when you drink," Song Xici looked at her with a meaningful expression. "You can even forget the bad things you've done?"

"I really don't remember, I'm sorry, Xici..." Tang You'an put down her chopsticks and rubbed her head. "What exactly did I do then..."

"Specifically..." Song Xici put down her milk and looked at her again, then moved closer to her. "At that time, you first pulled me onto the bed, then started doing this..."

The closer she got, the faster Song Xici's heart beat. She was outwardly calm but inwardly panicking. Still, she forced herself to channel her inner Oscar-winning actress.

Then, Song Xici closed her eyes and kissed Tang You'an's lips, grabbing her hand and guiding it under her own shirt, placing it against her abdomen.

When her palm was pulled to touch that warm and incredibly smooth skin, when her lips were kissed, Tang You'an felt like her entire head was about to explode.

She was no fairy... this was simply... a damned seductress...
