One Pet Gets Married

Chapter 35

Chapter 35

She knew Tang You’an was strong, but she hadn't anticipated just how powerful she could be. Compared to her, Tang You’an was like a burly sailor, while she felt like a rag doll. The difference in their strength was enormous. Adding to that, the body of a drunk person is extremely heavy, making it impossible for her to push him away.

"I... want to know, are you... really so afraid of me?" Tang You’an leaned down, brushing aside the hair near her ear and whispered her question.

Song Xici's body trembled slightly as she hurriedly placed her hands on her shoulders, her voice shaking as she asked, "What are you trying to do? And why... why are you suddenly asking this?"

"What could I possibly do to you..." Tang You’an closed her eyes for a moment, then opened them slightly, gazing at Song Xici's reddened earlobe. "Hmm?"

"I... I don't know..." Song Xici bit her lip lightly, feeling Tang You’an's breath uncomfortably hot against her skin, causing her chest to rise and fall unsteadily.

"Are you afraid I might kiss you..." Tang You’an propped herself up slightly, reaching out to caress her cheek, her fingers slowly moving towards the corner of her lips.

"You... you should stop talking..." Under her touch, Song Xici felt a tingling sensation starting from her neck, every cell in her body becoming unusually active.

In her panic, Song Xici stared at him intently, her heart pounding relentlessly.

"Or... do to you the things described in that article..." Tang You’an continued to question.

"What are you saying..." Thinking of that article and hearing Tang You’an's words, Song Xici's chest heaved more heavily as she bit her lower lip harder.

However, Tang You’an kept staring at her, her face drawing closer and closer.

"You’an... I..." Song Xici looked at her, swallowing hard once more.

"But even if I were to do that... so what... Why were you so natural with others in 'Butterfly Wings', yet so resistant even when we needed to record a show together..." Tang You’an gently stroked her hair, her gaze somewhat unfocused as it traveled from her eyes to her lips. "Why is that? Why are you only afraid of me..."

"I, I'm not..." Song Xici opened her mouth, feeling as if she too had been drinking, her body starting to heat up.

"Answer me..." With her hand on Song Xici's flushed cheek, Tang You’an leaned in closer, their noses almost touching.

"You’an... don't... do this..." Song Xici placed her hands on her shoulders, trying to push her away, but found that she seemed to have lost all strength, her wrists going limp.

Her nose brushed against her face, and Song Xici felt like she was going mad.

"Hmm? Why not..." Tang You’an moved closer to the corner of her lips, continuing her questioning.

"I..." Song Xici swallowed again, not knowing what to say.

Tang You’an looked at her slightly parted pink lips and white teeth, then back at her eyes, before leaning in even closer and lightly pecking her lips.

The moment their lips touched, Song Xici's eyes widened in shock.

Then, Tang You’an pulled back slightly, looking up at the face beneath her , before lowering her head once more and capturing Song Xici's lips in a kiss.

With her hands gripping Song Xici's shoulders, Tang You’an sealed her lips, sucking on her soft, fragrant lower lip before instinctively using the tip of her tongue to gently lift her teeth, her breathing becoming increasingly heavy.

At the same time, Song Xici felt as if her body was no longer her own, completely disobeying her commands. Though she could have easily dodged or pushed Tang You’an away, Song Xici not only failed to turn her head or resist, but actually tilted her chin up slightly to meet him, her breathing gradually becoming more rapid.

After prying open her lips, Tang You’an's tongue tentatively slid into her mouth, carefully seeking out her essence.

"You..." Song Xici gripped her shoulders, letting out a soft moan of discomfort, but the sound was quickly silenced by Tang You’an once more.

Having tasted a hint of sweetness, Tang You’an seemed unwilling to stop. One hand caressed her neck as she tilted her head, continuing to explore every corner of her mouth.

Unconsciously, Song Xici's hands moved to Tang You’an's back, lightly grasping her clothes.

The heat in their bodies steadily rose, leaving Song Xici breathless from her kisses. Both of their clothes had loosened somewhat, revealing smooth, fair shoulders in the lamplight. The exposed collarbones appeared delicate and exquisite.

Pressing her legs together in discomfort, Song Xici's breathing became increasingly rapid. She found herself vaguely anticipating something, yet simultaneously fearing it.

"Stop..." But just as Tang You’an's hand brushed against her abdomen, another unfamiliar, strange current filled her entire body. Finally, Song Xici's mind suddenly cleared, and she forcefully pushed Tang You’an away, her face flushed as she gasped for air. "Stop, don't..."

Tang You’an looked at her without speaking, her brow slightly furrowed. After staring at Song Xici for a long while, she unsteadily rolled over, lying down beside her.

Staring at the ceiling, Song Xici raised her hand to touch her lips before abruptly sitting up. She glanced at Tang You’an next to her, who seemed to have fallen into a deep sleep with her eyes closed, her breathing still extremely uneven.

Heavens, what had they just done?! It was terrifying to think about what might have happened if she hadn't stopped it in time!

Tang You’an was drunk, that was understandable, but she wasn't! What was she thinking, going along with her actions like that?!

Rolling out of bed, Song Xici hurriedly fled from Tang You’an's room.

Closing the door behind her, she fanned her face with her hand before clenching her fist and lightly hitting her own head. She then threw herself onto her bed, grabbing a pillow and pressing it against her face.

The taste of Tang You’an and the lingering scent of alcohol still remained in her mouth...

Her thoughts in disarray, Song Xici tossed aside the pillow and picked up her phone, scrolling through her WeChat messages.

She saw that Meng Meng had sent her a flood of messages just a few minutes ago.

"Hello? Have you finished recording the first two episodes?! Do you have a lot of upcoming work?! Are you going to film a drama?! Want to go out and have some fun?!"

After thinking for a while, Song Xici replied: "Meng Meng, tell me... have you ever seen someone get drunk and just start kissing another person?"

In the next second, Meng Meng responded: "Did someone kiss you?!"

Song Xici suddenly felt the phone burning in her hand and hurriedly replied: "I'm just asking, why do you always assume everything is about me..."

"Ah... it's hard to say when someone's drunk... Also, was it real drunkenness or fake? I don't know about real drunkenness, but if it's fake, then it's definitely a scheming dog!"

"What scheming dog, don't talk about her like that..." Song Xici immediately replied.

"Tsk tsk tsk, her? And you're even defending her... Tang You’an? Oh my Lady Gaga, did Tang You’an kiss you when she was drunk?! Damn, that's exciting! Then what? Then what?! Did you push her away?!" Meng Meng suddenly became excited.

As someone who had been single since birth, this was her only hobby left—shipping various couples and indulging in their gossip. When her favorite ships had sweet moments, she would happily roll around in bed; when they had angsty moments, she would hide under the covers and cry her eyes out.

"It's not like that... I'm not talking to you anymore..." Song Xici quickly tossed her phone aside.

She was really going to be driven crazy by herself and by Tang You’an!

It was too dangerous. From now on, alcohol must be banned! At least... there should be no more alcohol kept in the house! After all, who knows what else that person might do after drinking?

And how should they interact from now on?

The next day.

When Tang You’an woke up, she felt a bit dazed and had a splitting headache. After lying there for a while to gather her thoughts, she finally sat up in bed and continued to try to remember what had happened.

Later, she walked to the bathroom, squeezed some toothpaste onto her brush, and looked at herself in the mirror, unable to recall exactly what she had done.

She only remembered feeling quite upset about something, then sitting alone and drinking quite a bit.

What happened after that, she couldn't quite remember.

Tossing the toothpaste aside and filling a glass with water, Tang You’an leaned on the counter and began to rinse her mouth.

Finally, after finishing her morning routine, Tang You’an opened her closet, took out a silk shirt and a pair of jeans to change into, tucked the shirt into her pants, pinned the left side of her hair back, and headed towards the kitchen.

However, before she even reached the doorway, she heard a sizzling sound coming from inside—the sound of food being added to a hot pan.

Entering the kitchen, Tang You’an saw Song Xici standing there wearing an apron, holding a small black pepper grinder over the pan, twisting it to sprinkle ground pepper into the dish.

"You're up so early today?" Tang You’an asked as she walked over.

Song Xici's body stiffened when she heard this. She turned around holding the spatula and looked at Tang You’an: "Ah? Oh... yes..."

This is bad. Even though she had been seeing Tang You’an's appearance for over two years now and should have gotten used to it, lately Song Xici felt like she couldn't get enough of looking at her.

Although her figure was a bit flat, she had a slim waist and long legs. With her clear eyes, delicate features, and fair skin, she gave off a very clean and neat impression—the type who could look good even wearing a sack.

Also, why did she seem so natural... Had she forgotten about what happened last night?

"Frying fish?" Tang You’an walked up beside her, squinting and tilting her head slightly to look at what was in the pan.

Perhaps because Tang You’an had just woken up, her voice had a lazy quality to it.

"Mm..." Song Xici turned her head to look at her and nodded. Remembering how this person had pressed her down and kissed her last night, she quickly turned her head back.

"Be careful not to burn it." Tang You’an said, looking at the fish and then back at her with slightly furrowed brows. She raised the back of her hand to cover her mouth as she let out a small yawn.

"Oh my goodness!" After Tang You’an's reminder, Song Xici finally noticed that there was already a faint smell of burning coming from the pan.

So, Song Xici hurriedly flipped the fish over. Sure enough, after turning it over, she saw that the edges on the other side had already turned black.

"Silly..." Tang You’an said with a laugh from the side.

"You dare call me silly?" Song Xici turned her head to give her a look.

Tang You’an chuckled, "Isn't it true?"

"That's disrespectful." Song Xici said.

"I've already been disrespectful, one more time won't hurt..." Tang You’an said, looking at the fish in the pan and pinching the bridge of her nose.

"What nonsense are you talking about..." Song Xici said in a low voice.

Tang You’an lowered her hand, thought for a while, then cleared her throat: "For example, have you ever seen a mother and daughter kiss?"

Song Xici froze.

"And after the show airs... everyone will be able to see it..." Tang You’an continued.

Song Xici inexplicably let out a sigh of relief. She had thought Tang You’an was going to mention what happened last night.

"Don't say anymore! Anyway... there are only two pieces of fish fillet, I'll give you the burnt one later for calling me silly..." Song Xici muttered, staring at the pan.

"That's fine, I'll eat the burnt one then." Tang You’an nodded.

Song Xici glanced at her again, then plated the fish and put another piece into the pan, frying it over low heat with the remaining olive oil.

"Why did you drink so much last night?" Song Xici asked, glancing at her.

"I don't know, I just suddenly felt like drinking, I guess." Tang You’an replied.

Song Xici silently flipped the fish after hearing this.

"So, does your head hurt?" After a while, holding the wooden handle of the spatula, Song Xici thought for a moment before asking.

"A little bit." Tang You’an answered.

"Here, I made some honey orange tea earlier, have some." Song Xici pointed to a cup nearby.

"Mm." Tang You’an picked it up and took a sip. As soon as she swallowed, a warm feeling spread through her body.

"By the way... last night... do you remember anything?" After hesitating for a long time, Song Xici finally asked haltingly.

"What?" Tang You’an looked completely bewildered.

"Oh... I mean, I brought you some milk, do you remember drinking it?" Song Xici said, a faint blush appearing on her cheeks.

"You brought me milk? I'm sorry, I must have been too drunk and didn't notice..." Tang You’an replied.

"Oh, it's okay, it's fine if you didn't notice, it's not a big deal." Song Xici shook her head, then placed the second piece of fried fish onto the plate and cut two slices of lemon, squeezing the juice over the top.

As long as she doesn't remember, everything is fine, just fine!

However, Song Xici's heart began to beat rhythmically once again.

After finishing preparing breakfast and setting it on the table, Song Xici still didn't give the burnt fish to Tang You’an, but placed it in front of herself instead.

But in the time it took her to wash a knife and fork, Tang You’an had already switched the two plates of fish.

"Why did you switch them..." Song Xici handed her the knife, fork, and spoon.

"We agreed that I would eat this portion." Tang You’an smiled, then began to eat. A bite of fish, a bite of toasted bread, a spoonful of cream of mushroom soup, a bite of golden-brown sausage—Tang You’an seemed to be enjoying her meal quite happily.

"Actually, it all tastes pretty good." Tang You’an complimented her.

Song Xici smiled when she heard this: "Of course it does, it has to."

At this moment, Tang You’an was holding a knife in one hand and a fork in the other, focused on cutting the sausage. Those hands, white and slender, reminded Song Xici of how they had caressed her face, her neck, and her abdomen. If she hadn't called for a stop, then... after that...

Shaking her head, Song Xici finally tore her gaze away from Tang You’an's hands.

"Xici, do you have any plans for today?" Tang You’an looked up at her again.

"I don't have anything today, but tomorrow I have a photo shoot for a magazine. Why do you ask?" Song Xici blew on the hot soup in her spoon.

"It's nothing, just... I realized that I've never been to an amusement park, so I want to go." Tang You’an looked at her.

"You want to go to an amusement park?" Song Xici looked at her. Having been to amusement parks countless times herself, Song Xici felt no particular excitement at the idea.

"Mm." Tang You’an nodded, picking up her phone and showing it to Song Xici, "The newly opened Rongcheng Joy World. I've been seeing photos on social media lately, it seems like even little kids have been there, but I haven't."

"Amusement parks are mainly for children." Song Xici said.

"Is that so?" Tang You’an looked at her.

"Yes, it is." Song Xici nodded.

"In that case, I definitely need to make up for lost time, since I've never been to one from childhood until now." Tang You’an said.

"Alright, alright, we'll go after we clean up. I'll make sure you have a great time." Song Xici smiled, "After all, I'm about to be buried in work again, so it's good to relax a bit beforehand."

Hearing this, Tang You’an immediately brightened up.

After a while, when they finished eating and cleaned everything up, they returned to their respective rooms to change clothes.

As it was nearing March, the temperature was no longer as cold as before, but layering was still necessary. Tang You’an carefully selected a light beige jacket to wear over her outfit.

After waiting for Song Xici to finish her makeup and come downstairs, the two were ready to head out to Rongcheng Joy World.

"Wait." Tang You’an called out just as Song Xici was opening the door.

"Hmm?"

"Your collar." Tang You’an said, stepping forward to stand behind her. She reached out and gently pulled a few strands of hair that were tucked inside Song Xici's jacket collar.

The movement was light, but it made Song Xici feel a bit ticklish.

At this moment, Tang You’an's brow furrowed slightly, as if remembering something.

"By the way, last night, afterwards..." Tang You’an smoothed out Song Xici's collar as she spoke.

"What?" Song Xici suddenly tensed up, gripping her hand tightly as she turned to look at Tang You’an.

Before her eyes, Tang You’an stood with her long black hair flowing loosely, the top button of her shirt undone, revealing a small glimpse of her collarbone.

Song Xici quickly turned her head away again.

"Did I do something to you? Hmm?" Tang You’an lowered her eyes, smoothing out Song Xici's collar. After a moment of silence, she leaned in closer, her mouth near Song Xici's ear as she asked in a low voice.

Her voice was very soft, but the breath tickling Song Xici's ear caused her shoulders to shrug slightly. She didn't dare turn to look at Tang You’an.
