Chapter 30
Chapter 30
"Brother, the bed collapsed!" After a moment of shock, Tang You'an turned on the light and sat up. She put on her shoes, threw on some clothes, opened the door, looked around, and approached a staff member.
At this moment, the recently public gay couple Wang Chengxu and Liu Nan, who had been complaining about getting the most dilapidated room in the village, heard Tang You'an's voice and suddenly stopped grumbling. They trembled with laughter under their blanket.
Wang: "Teacher Tang's bed collapsed, pfft------"
Liu: "Good thing we came early and didn't choose that room, haha..."
After hearing Tang You'an's voice, people in other rooms also laughed rather unkindly.
At this moment, in another room, Ning Yu was more sympathetic. Hearing the commotion, she rolled over and said to Xia Jing sleeping beside her: "What should we do? How will they sleep?"
Xia Jing was silent for a moment: "This won't do. Let's go take a look and see if we can help."
"Okay." Ning Yu nodded and got up.
After a while, the staff member entered the room with the shivering Tang You'an to inspect. Meanwhile, Song Xici also crawled out of bed.
It turned out the bed had collapsed because the first wooden leg on the left and the second on the right had both broken. The breaks were uneven.
"Just saw them off and prop up both sides with some bricks." the staff member said, bringing over a small saw and pointing outside. "There are plenty by the sheep pen."
"Alright." Tang You'an let out a sigh.
"Xici, wait a moment. I'll go get the bricks now." Tang You'an closed the door and turned to reassure her.
"I'll go with you." Though dejected, Song Xici still grabbed her jacket from the foot of the bed and put it on.
Unable to stop her, Tang You'an had no choice but to let her come along.
Then, the two of them opened the door.
"Sister You'an, Sister Xici, do you need our help?" Ning Yu asked, shivering and exhaling a puff of white breath.
"It's fine, just two legs broke. We'll get some bricks to prop it up." Tang You'an didn't think it was a particularly difficult task.
"Yes, it's alright. Go back to sleep, we can handle it ourselves." Song Xici was surprised, then smiled.
"Let's go together." Xia Jing said.
After hearing this, Tang You'an and Song Xici were stunned again, then nodded slightly.
To be honest, she really hadn't expected Ning Yu and Xia Jing to be so thoughtful. After all, though Ning Yu hadn't been in the entertainment industry long, she was already a popular young actress with quite high popularity, at least higher than her own now. And Xia Jing was originally a model, a high-end international one at that, so it was rare for her to be so friendly.
Song Xici had seen many people who started looking down on seniors once their own popularity rose, but rarely saw those who were still so kind to washed-up seniors they barely knew even after skyrocketing to fame.
So, under the dim courtyard lights, the group walked together towards the sheep pen.
"Teacher Tang, I watched you on 'Literati Gathering.' It was really..." Ning Yu extended her thumb, replacing the words she was about to say.
"You watched it?" Tang You'an was a bit surprised.
"Yes, because I've always liked Teacher Song a lot. Hehe, you know, love me, love my dog..." Ning Yu scratched her head, looking at Song Xici.
"Really?" Song Xici found it hard to believe.
"Of course. Before, you know, with Weibo follows, she really wanted to follow you, but was afraid you wouldn't follow back if she did, which would be too awkward. She hesitated for ages until I finally took charge and pressed the follow button for her..." Xia Jing said with a smile. "I don't usually watch dramas, but she's always recommending them to me, saying things like 'Oh, Teacher Song has a new drama' or 'Have you seen Teacher Song's drama?' Basically forcing me into your fandom..."
"Good things should be shared, haha!" Ning Yu said, laughing. Xia Jing glared at her, then laughed too.
"Just now too, she kept wanting to talk to you but was too shy..." Xia Jing continued to expose Ning Yu.
"I'm so flattered. I never thought you'd still pay attention to me even though I've become so irrelevant..." Song Xici was deeply moved.
"How are you irrelevant? You're not. You'll always be No. 1 in my heart!" Ning Yu said with a smile.
"Xici is really great. Although people often say her roles are essentially all the same—even if their personalities differ, they're all fundamentally good people—to be honest, being able to bring different flavors to similar roles is also a kind of skill." Tang You'an said, bending down to examine the bricks by the sheep pen.
"Yes, that's what I think too..." Ning Yu nodded.
Hearing this, Song Xici lowered her head and smiled, picking up a red brick: "Thank you, really. But I do want to try different roles. Like antisocial ones, or those who turn evil because of unrequited love and such. But directors who film those don't seem to like choosing me."
"Maybe because you look too baby-faced?" Xia Jing asked.
"Baby-faced?" Song Xici was confused.
"Well... not exactly baby-faced. It's just that you look much younger than your actual age. I'm the type who looked like I was in my twenties when I was eighteen." Xia Jing said.
"Ah... it's probably because of my aura. My aura is too weak, unlike you with your strong presence, especially when walking the runway." Song Xici said, then picked up another brick with her other hand, weighing them.
"Can I do a product placement here?" Tang You'an asked, looking at the cameraman after stacking a pile of bricks.
"Go for it! If it's not allowed, they can delete it in post-production!" Xia Jing said cheerfully.
"Oh, then I'm going to do it..." Tang You'an cleared her throat, pulling Song Xici over to face the camera. "Hello, directors. Attention please, we have an excellent actress here who wants to play roles that involve murder, arson, and all sorts of evil deeds. If you have similar scripts, please give her a chance..."
"Why are you saying it so strangely..." Song Xici glanced at her, the corners of her lips turning up.
Afterwards, the group carried the bricks back to the house. They discarded the ones that were too large, kept the suitable ones, sawed off the legs, and with some people lifting the bed while others propped it up, they finally managed to sort out the situation.
Then, Tang You'an and Song Xici went to the kitchen to wash their hands before lying down again.
As they had been rushing around all day, both were quite tired, so despite how awful the place was, they quickly fell into dreamland.
The next day.
Tang You'an and Song Xici were awakened by the crowing of the rooster in the chicken coop and groggily came to their senses.
"Xici, you sleep a bit longer. I'll go boil some water." Tang You'an said, stretching as she got up.
After sleeping on a soft bed for so long, suddenly sleeping on such a hard one made Tang You'an's whole body ache.
Song Xici blinked her dry eyes in the blanket, then rubbed them before finally forcing herself to sit up, her hair a mess like a bird's nest.
Yesterday, Song Xici had wanted to live in this place of green mountains and clear waters forever, but now she didn't want to at all. She only hoped to finish recording the show quickly and end this hellish life full of suffering.
"I'll go with you..." Song Xici put on her shoes and stood up, taking out a comb and walking to the wardrobe beside Tang You'an, casually brushing her hair.
"Ah... I need to use the bathroom..." Just after smoothing her hair, Song Xici suddenly frowned and clutched her stomach.
"I think the toilet is next to the chicken coop. Want me to go with you?" Tang You'an said.
"Okay." Song Xici put down the comb and followed Tang You'an out the door.
As soon as the door opened, another gust of cold wind blew in, causing both of them to shiver.
At the toilet door, Song Xici's face brightened a bit when she opened it. Though it was a squat toilet, it was better than the open pit she had imagined. Additionally, there was a water heater and shower installed on the side. Fortunately, there was more than one toilet. She suddenly felt the production team had some humanity after all.
"Do you want to put on makeup?" Tang You'an asked after they returned to the room and washed their faces.
"Too lazy to bother. I'll just be ugly. I'm even too lazy to do skincare." Song Xici yawned, rubbing her neck.
But after a moment, Song Xici paused as she stroked her neck, then stood up: "No, we haven't done our product placement yet. I should at least do some skincare."
So Song Xici rummaged through her bag for the skincare products the production team had stuffed in there, opened the packaging, and took out a lotion and serum.
"I suddenly remembered I have some too." Tang You'an said, taking out a face cream.
"Come one, come all, don't miss out, this face cream is really great to use." Tang You'an said as she unscrewed the cap, scooped out a dollop, smeared it on her face, spread it out, and patted it in.
"So exaggerated. People might think you're selling roasted sweet potatoes." Song Xici glanced at her, then elegantly squeezed out some serum, applied it to her face, and said as she spread it, "This seems pretty good, not inferior to the brand I usually use. I feel like my skin instantly drank up the moisture..."
Holding the serum bottle next to her cheek, Song Xici flashed a professional smile: "Don't rush to fix dry skin, use Q Dream skincare serum, you deserve it."
After finishing their product placements, the two went out together and entered the main hall.
Fortunately, breakfast was provided daily by the show's sponsor, consisting of "Xinli Breakfast Porridge" and "Duo Chi Hao" bread and cakes.
There was a long table in the main hall, so the ten of them sat down around it.
Since they had already met and eaten together last night, Tang You'an now had some understanding of everyone present. Ning Yu and Xia Jing didn't need mentioning—one was an excellent new-generation actress, the other an international supermodel planning to develop her career back in China.
Wang Chengxu and Liu Nan were two young men, both newly debuted singers in the music industry. They were quite young, around 22 years old, and their style of dress seemed rather unkempt to Tang You'an. She had heard they were quite handsome—yes, heard, because she couldn't see the appeal herself. Moreover, these two had very low laughing thresholds, constantly giggling like dogs.
There were two more couples. One was Jin Yawen and her husband Ma Qing, top figures in the entertainment industry. Given Jin Yawen's status, having won many awards and with a large, devoted fanbase, plus being the oldest at 38, everyone was quite respectful towards her. Though Tang You'an hadn't watched her works yet.
The remaining couple was Feng Xiaoxiao and her boyfriend Gu Xueke, who had been constantly urged by everyone to get together. Feng Xiaoxiao was only 19, Gu Xueke 20, both having just debuted and met while filming their breakout movie. Their on-screen couple image was deeply ingrained in people's minds, and their company was constantly hyping up their relationship.
Three months ago, the two announced they were actually together, moving fans to tears. Everyone was urging them to get married quickly.
During breakfast, the task cards arrived.
Jin Yawen wiped her mouth with a napkin, then took the card and read: "Dear guests, hello. Your next tasks are: 1. Stuff sausages, then smoke them. If you can complete this task before 6 PM, the sausages will be yours. Otherwise, they will be confiscated. 2. Chop firewood. If the wood piled by the east wall outside is not all chopped, it will be taken away, meaning you won't have firewood to burn. 3. Herd sheep and successfully bring them back. If all tasks are completed, everyone will receive a 200 yuan reward. If even one task is not completed, you will not receive the reward."
"Let's divide up the work then. Brother Ma, Xueke, want to chop wood with me and Liu Nan?" Wang Chengxu said after swallowing his bread. "The rest of you can arrange yourselves."
"Chopping wood? That's so tiring... Baby, be careful with your hands." Feng Xiaoxiao said, pulling Gu Xueke's hand and rubbing it in her palm with a pout.
"It's just chopping wood, no big deal." Wang Chengxu glanced at her.
"I agree." Ma Qing nodded, hands pressed on his legs.
"Then we..." Jin Yawen turned to Tang You'an and the others.
"How about this, Sister Yawen, you herd the sheep. I heard your shoulder was injured while filming and hasn't fully healed..." Tang You'an looked at her. "Herding sheep just requires watching from the side, it won't be too tiring. I'll teach you how to drive them out later..."
"Then what should I do? I want to herd sheep too..." Feng Xiaoxiao's eyes darted around as she looked at everyone. "Stuffing sausages means putting meat into intestines, right? That sounds so gross..."
"Then you go herd sheep with Sister Yawen. Little Yu, You'an, Xici, and I will handle the sausages." Xia Jing glanced at her.
"Alright, then we'll take care of the sausages." Song Xici clapped her hands. "Let's get started. The sooner we finish, the sooner we can call it a day. Let's go for that 200 yuan!"
"Okay!"
Having reached an agreement, everyone stood up to begin their tasks.
The men took their axes and walked to the edge of the courtyard. Looking at the round logs, they frowned, coughed, and prepared to start chopping.
After placing a log on one of the short stools made from sawed tree stumps, Wang Chengxu gripped the axe, raised it up and down, then swung it down with all his might. The axe immediately got stuck in the wood.
"Why is this so hard to do?" Wang Chengxu picked it up and frowned, examining it.
"I don't know..." Ma Qing didn't know how to chop wood either.
Tang You'an, who had been watching them for a while, walked over and extended her hand to Wang Chengxu: "Little brother, let me demonstrate for you."
"You're going to demonstrate?" Wang Chengxu looked at her, a bit dumbfounded. She was a girl, after all.
"Mm." Tang You'an nodded.
After looking at Liu Nan, Gu Xueke, and Ma Qing, Wang Chengxu finally scratched his head and handed the axe to Tang You'an.
"You need to use force, but also skill." Tang You'an said after taking the axe. She placed the log back on the stool, spread her legs, tapped the axe lightly on the wood, then suddenly raised it and brought it down with a thwack. The log instantly split in two.
Then Tang You'an picked up another log, laid it horizontally across the round stump, and said: "Actually, many people don't know there's an easier way. Chopping like this, the wood is less likely to fall and you're less likely to hurt yourself."
After saying this, Tang You'an chopped again, then handed the axe back to Wang Chengxu, patting his shoulder: "Little brother, good luck."
Watching Tang You'an walk gracefully towards the sheep pen, Wang Chengxu couldn't help but gape: "How is she so skilled? Sister is a wolf in sheep's clothing."
Meanwhile, Song Xici, Ning Yu, and Xia Jing nearly fainted when they received a pile of raw meat, but they still carried it to the kitchen and got to work.
Ning Yu and Xia Jing were responsible for cleaning the intestines, while Song Xici washed the large pile of meat, cut it into countless small pieces, then minced it. Everyone worked diligently.
Whenever someone complained of tiredness, Song Xici would raise her cleaver and shout: "Two hundred yuan! Don't give up! Two hundred yuan! Keep going! Two hundred yuan! Charge!"
Even though her own hands were nearly numb from all the chopping.
Ning Yu and Xia Jing would join in the chanting.
As a result, the men in the courtyard couldn't help but laugh every time they chopped some wood, then chant along with them.
Tang You'an returned and stood in the doorway, arms crossed, watching Song Xici for a while, unable to hold back her smile.
Finally, all the intestines were thoroughly cleaned, the meat was chopped and seasoned with various spices for marinating. The group put everything into a large basin and sat around it to start stuffing the sausages.
"How do we do this? It's so slippery... It's really hard to stuff the meat into this hole..."
"Damn... I can't stuff it in..."
However, despite all the preparation work, new problems arose.
Tang You'an tugged at the intestines for a moment, then looked up: "You guys keep trying. I'll go get something."
After saying this, Tang You'an got up to wash her hands, then ran back to her room, grabbed the small saw from last night, and ran up the mountain behind them.
She chose a bamboo of suitable thickness, sawed it down, and finally cut several two-inch long bamboo tubes before quickly running back to the kitchen.
The cameraman following her back and forth was nearly dizzy. Goodness, her agility and nimbleness were like Sun Wukong's. She must have grown up climbing mountains and trees.
"Here, follow me. Thread the intestine through the bamboo tube, then spread it over the outside of the tube. This way, the opening is bigger and you can stuff the meat in easily." Tang You'an said, sitting down to demonstrate after washing the bamboo tubes.
"Amazing! Sister You'an, you're so smart!" Ning Yu tried the method and found the efficiency instantly improved by leaps and bounds. She couldn't help but admire Tang You'an.
Song Xici watched Tang You'an from the side, also smiling. Her little brain worked so fast, it really made her proud.
Since there was a lot of work and no one was providing lunch, Tang You'an decided they would eat the breakfast provided by the production team for lunch. Her reasoning was that even if there wasn't enough for breakfast later, it wouldn't matter. After all, once they had more things and money, why worry about not being able to make breakfast?
So, after delivering food to Jin Yawen and Feng Xiaoxiao and eating herself, Tang You'an and the others continued working.
By around 2 PM, all the sausages were finally stuffed. After checking the time, the four girls hurriedly began the sausage smoking process.
Tang You'an told them how to do it, then quickly ran out to chop cypress branches.
The men in the courtyard were already dumbfounded. Today's Tang You'an, in their eyes, was like a skilled martial arts expert who could do anything, showing no signs of being a pampered rich daughter. They swore that the messy news about Tang You'an they had read before was the most nonsensical they had ever seen! After exchanging glances, the men who had finished chopping wood joined in cutting cypress branches and smoking sausages.
Smoking sausages was also quite a challenging task. There were many methods, but in the end, they chose to use a pot for smoking. However, when they actually started smoking, the thick smoke billowed out, nearly suffocating everyone. They all ran outside, coughing non-stop.
Nevertheless, under Song Xici's rallying cry of "Two hundred yuan!", the oily, shiny smoked sausages were finally ready.
After hanging the last batch of sausages above the stove, Song Xici sat on the stove, wiping her face and leaving a streak of ash. She clenched her fist excitedly and said: "Comrades, we've succeeded! We're the best! Let's keep working hard together in the future!"
"Yes!" Everyone nodded in unison, looking at the strings of sausages.
At the same time, Jin Yawen and Feng Xiaoxiao returned with the flock of sheep.
All tasks were completed within the time limit set by the production team. At that moment, everyone felt a great sense of achievement.
"Since you completed all tasks today, these two hundred yuan are yours." the production team said, handing an envelope to Jin Yawen.
"Two hundred? Is it really two hundred? Quick, open it and check!"
"Yes, yes, look and see if they've shortchanged us!"
Everyone got excited when they heard the word "money."
So Jin Yawen smiled and opened the envelope. Sure enough, inside were two pink banknotes.
"So who should manage the money?" someone asked.
Tang You'an thought for a moment, then said: "How about Sister Yawen manages it? What do you think?"
"Good! I agree!"
"No problem!"
Afterwards, the group took the two hundred yuan and went door to door in the village to buy some vegetables. Since funds were limited, they could only afford to buy mostly vegetarian items.
After shopping, everyone returned to the main hall and sat down to rest and drink water.
"Is everyone rested? Shall we start cooking?" After a while, Ma Qing rubbed his big belly. He was already so hungry his stomach was growling.
"Sure!" The crowd agreed.
"So, who will be the head chef?"
Everyone fell silent again. This was a problem. Among those present, hardly anyone was skilled in cooking.
At this point, Tang You'an raised her hand: "I'll do it."
As soon as Tang You'an said this, everyone turned to her in disbelief. No way! Tang You'an had already refreshed their perception of her today, and now this... Was she really so all-capable? It was too scary.
"She cooks quite well, really. She makes my breakfast every day." Song Xici said with a smile.
"No wonder you look more and more radiant." Jin Yawen was stunned for a moment, then smiled at Song Xici.
"Not at all..." Song Xici smiled and waved her hand dismissively.
"Alright then, let's do this. You'an will be the head chef, and we'll assist. Let's get to work!" Jin Yawen clapped her hands, and everyone stood up.
Originally, no one had high hopes for Tang You'an's cooking, but to their surprise, her knife skills were incredibly swift and precise. The others, who were supposed to be doing their own tasks, all gathered around to watch her chop vegetables for a while.
"Old friend, you're amazing!" Wang Chengxu exclaimed, watching Tang You'an's knife. He then patted Liu Nan's shoulder, "You should learn from her properly!"
Liu Nan muttered in response: "Why don't you learn..."
"Nyeh nyeh nyeh~" Wang Chengxu glanced at him and floated away.
Jin Yawen, watching Tang You'an, also nodded with a smile. Being able to cook, take initiative, and shoulder responsibilities was quite impressive. She had previously had a poor impression of Tang You'an due to various negative reports, but after this brief interaction, her opinion had changed.
An hour later, a table full of steaming dishes appeared before everyone. There were six dishes in total: braised eggplant, green pepper and potato strips, sausage with snow peas, stir-fried spinach, chive and egg stir-fry, and cucumber and preserved egg soup. Although there weren't many dishes, each portion was quite large.
Due to limited resources, there was only one meat dish, so everyone stared at the sausage and snow pea dish, salivating. Although the sausages were freshly smoked and might lack some qualities compared to those dried for a long time, they still looked quite good.
"Alright, alright, we can eat now." Tang You'an said, patting her hands as she stood up straight after bringing out a pot of rice.
Gu Xueke was the first to stand up with a bowl, going to scoop two bowls of rice, one for Feng Xiaoxiao and one for himself.
"You sit. I'll get the rice." Tang You'an said to Song Xici, noticing Jin Yawen and Ma Qing looking around awkwardly, seemingly unable to easily get out from their seats against the wall.
"Okay." Song Xici nodded with a smile.
So Tang You'an took two bowls, filled them with rice, and hurried back to the table, placing them in front of Jin Yawen and Ma Qing. "You eat first, don't stand on ceremony."
Jin Yawen was taken aback, looked up at her, then smiled: "Really, you shouldn't have troubled yourself..."
"It's no trouble at all. Your seats make it difficult to get out." Tang You'an said with a smile, then turned to get two more bowls. After filling them, she returned to Song Xici's side and handed her one.
Song Xici looked at her and smiled. Not bad, knowing to serve the seniors first. No wonder Tang You'an was getting along well in the crew. If she was always like this, she would indeed be quite likable.
"Here, Yawen, your favorite braised eggplant." Ma Qing said, placing a piece of eggplant in Jin Yawen's bowl.
"This tastes really good... My goodness, this child has great culinary skills..." Jin Yawen said in a low voice after taking a bite, praising repeatedly.
"You'an, eat more. You worked the hardest today!" Jin Yawen then said to Tang You'an with a smile.
"It wasn't hard at all. You should eat more too." Tang You'an smiled, then moderately picked some dishes that Song Xici's short arms might not reach and put them in her bowl.
"This is really my first time living such a hard life." Feng Xiaoxiao suddenly said while picking through the sausage and snow pea dish with her chopsticks, placing all the sausages in Gu Xueke's and her own bowls. "If there's another show like this in the future, I definitely won't participate. We've been busy all day, and in the end, there's hardly anything good to eat."
Although Feng Xiaoxiao's intention was to say there wasn't much meat, as she loved meat and couldn't do without it, the way she expressed it was quite inappropriate.
Wang Chengxu and Liu Nan exchanged glances after hearing this, feeling the atmosphere was a bit odd. Firstly, Feng Xiaoxiao hadn't really worked that hard during the day, and her boyfriend Gu Xueke had chopped the least amount of wood. Secondly, regardless of everything else, this meal was cooked by Tang You'an, and they hadn't helped much. Now, they were just picking out the best parts for themselves while continuing to complain, which made others feel quite uncomfortable.
Song Xici glanced at her, feeling a bit annoyed, unsure if she was being too petty or what. But outwardly, Song Xici still smiled slightly and picked up some potato strips with her chopsticks: "Maybe I'm just used to rougher living, but I think this food is quite good."
"I think it all tastes great, don't you agree? Haha!" Ning Yu quickly said.
"I think so too." Liu Nan nodded.
As for Tang You'an, she was quite easygoing and didn't react much to the comment. She just smiled and said: "Things should gradually improve. Look, we had nothing before, and now we have so many sausages. In the future, we'll surely get more and more things."
"I actually think that people nowadays should experience more hardships. That way, they'll learn to cherish and 'respect' everything." Jin Yawen said softly, picking up a piece of spinach, examining it before taking a bite.
After hearing this, Feng Xiaoxiao nodded, whether she had taken it to heart or not, and stopped talking.
"Alright, alright, come on, let's use soup instead of wine and have a toast!" Ning Yu said, picking up a small bowl, trying to ease the tension.
Everyone heard this and poured themselves some soup, then stood up.
"Okay, I'm very happy to meet you all. I hope we can continue to cooperate happily and have fun every day like today!" Ning Yu patted her chest. "Cheers!"
"Cheers!"
Night had fallen, and after some back and forth, the meal was finally finished.
With all the day's tasks completed, everyone was exhausted.
Then, Tang You'an and Song Xici each went to take a shower.
They were still warm right after the shower, but after running back from the courtyard, most of the heat was instantly lost.
Closing the door and climbing into bed, Song Xici pulled the covers over herself, shivering all over, her teeth chattering from the cold.
"So cold..."
Unable to bear it, Song Xici pulled the covers over her head and uttered those two words.
Hearing this, Tang You'an turned her head to look at Song Xici beside her, pondered for a while, then cautiously asked: "Do you... want me to hold you while we sleep..."
After all, seeing her shivering from the cold, Tang You'an couldn't stand by and do nothing.
Song Xici heard this and initially wanted to refuse, but firstly, they were recording a show, and it would seem strange if a married couple didn't even embrace. Secondly, it was indeed quite cold, so she finally gritted her teeth and nodded.
Given permission, Tang You'an extended her arm under Song Xici's neck, and Song Xici gradually moved closer, resting her head on Tang You'an's arm and snuggling up to her.
Tang You'an swallowed, hesitantly placing her hand on Song Xici's waist. Indeed, Song Xici's body was cool, as if she had been soaked in cold water.
"This won't do. We should brew some Chinese medicine later and eat some warming foods to nourish your body." Tang You'an said.
"Mm." Song Xici nodded, feeling her face had already become warm.
Tang You'an's body was very warm. As Song Xici was held like this, before long, her limbs gradually warmed up. At the same time, as the temperature rose, Tang You'an's back even started to break out in a light sweat.
Neither of them spoke again, but their breathing trembled slightly. Tang You'an's hand on Song Xici's waist also gradually stiffened.
"I..." After a while, Song Xici wanted to say she felt much better, but the words got stuck in her throat.
"Hm?" Tang You'an's breathing was a bit heavy.
Hearing this voice so close, Song Xici was startled and quickly shook her head: "I just wanted to say, it's very warm."
Tang You'an thought for a moment, then moved her arm: "Is this more comfortable?"
How else could she answer? Song Xici closed her eyes and bit her lip: "Mm, comfortable."
But after saying the word "comfortable," feeling Tang You'an's warm breath, Song Xici's mind uncontrollably flashed back to the classic lines from that fanfiction------
Tang: "Baby... you're squeezing me so tight, does it feel good when I do this?"
Song: "It's... it's good... ah..."
