Chapter 16: Woman, I Won’t Touch You
"Ivy, make yourself clear."Sebastian Blackwood pulled Ivy Kensington up, wanting her to explain herself thoroughly, but Ivy’s entire body was alarmingly hot, her face flushed red.
Ivy’s mind was in a daze at the moment, and she snuggled into Sebastian’s arms, as if that was the only way to alleviate her discomfort.
Glancing at the incense on the bedside, Sebastian’s face darkened.
It seems that something is wrong with this thing.o call for help, but the room was equipped with a signal jammer, leaving her phone without a trace of service.
Her eyes suddenly landed on the plants in the room, and Ivy’s eyes lit up as she quickly crawled over.
When Sebastian emerged from the bathroom, he saw Ivy diligently grinding something down.
Disdainfully, he frowned: "What tricks are you playing now?"
Ivy couldn’t bother with him; she was completely out of strength, and only this thing could save her life.
She had studied herbal medicine, and luckily, the plant placed in the hotel had properties to clear heat and restore clarity, so she had to crush it to consume it.
The incense was truly potent; Ivy was entirely drained of strength. She turned to Sebastian, saying, "Mr. Blackwood, please crush all these things up; as long as we eat them, we should be fine."
Not believing Ivy at all, Sebastian merely looked at her coldly upon hearing this.
Ivy explained again, "Mr. Blackwood, I swear I have no interest in you. Everything tonight was an accident."
Hearing "I have no interest in you" from Ivy’s mouth, Sebastian’s expression grew even darker, and he sneered: "You can’t compare to Dahlia, at least you have some self-awareness."
Ivy felt a slight twinge in her heart.
She knew Dahlia was special to him, but hearing him say it out loud still stung.
Ivy didn’t want to say anything more; regardless of whether the herbs were completely crushed, she grabbed a handful and stuffed it into her mouth.
The medicinal juice seeped into her stomach, gradually taking effect, making Ivy feel significantly better.
Sebastian was also gritting his teeth to hold on, finding that a cold shower had very limited effects.
"Mr. Blackwood, if you believe me, you can try this."
Ivy noticed the man’s face flaring up once more, so she tentatively passed the crushed bits over.
