Glaceon and Umbreon never thought they would have the day when they became mothers.

After Naoki entrusted them with the task of taking care of the Eevee Eggs, he went downstairs to answer the phone.

Suddenly, only the two evolved Eevees and a bunch of unhatched Eevee Eggs were left on the second floor.

Umbreon stepped forward and gently tapped one of the Eevee Eggs with her paw, her yellow eyes full of curiosity.

"Eevee?" (Can an Eevee really hatch from here?)

Glaceon sighed and nodded reluctantly: "Eevee." (That’s right.)

Umbreon imagined the scene and couldn’t help but cheerfully ask: "Eevee?" (Will the hatched Eevee think of us as its moms?)

Hearing this, Glaceon was slightly taken aback and asked in disbelief: "Eevee?" (You want to be a mom?)

Umbreon nodded while looking at the egg in front of her and replied: "Eevee!" (I never had a mom, and these little Eevees don’t have moms either. I’m going to be their mom and take care of them!)

Glaceon was stunned and didn’t know what to say.

After a long pause, she could only whisper a meaningless murmur: "Eevee..."

Downstairs, Naoki was having a phone conversation with Geeta.

Geeta on the other end was all smiles: "Have you received the gift?"

Naoki: "...Yes."

"Oh, that’s good." Geeta smiled faintly: "I’ve heard everything from Grusha; you’re planning to create an Eevee Paradise, and it just so happens there are Eevee Eggs at the League’s Pokemon Breeding Center, so I sent them to you."

Naoki had a hesitating expression: "Chief, this is too extravagant..."

Geeta nearly embarrassed him, first helping to find ancient Gold Coins and now sending Eevee Eggs.

Naoki felt that if needed, Geeta could arrange even a marriage for him.

"Not extravagant at all." Geeta said sincerely: "A person like you with Champion Level abilities is a real asset for Paldea. Even though you don’t wish to join the Paldea League, I sincerely hope you can always stay in the Paldea Region."

Naoki was somewhat confused: "I never planned on moving to another region, and my home is right here. Where would I even go?"

Geeta thought that although you hadn’t intended this, other regions’ leagues might differ.

She had heard that the neighboring Galar Region had already launched a special talent incentive policy.

Though these thoughts crossed her mind, Geeta did not voice them. She just softly laughed: "Think of it as a personal gift I’m giving you as a friend."

Since coming to this world, he had always interacted with Pokemon and hadn’t made many proper human friends.

Thinking of this, Naoki revealed a smile: "In that case, I’ll accept it."

"Good." Geeta nodded, then advised: "By the way, those Eevee Eggs were laid two months ago; they’ll hatch in about half a month, so you’ll need to pay extra attention soon."

"Half a month?" Naoki nodded: "Alright, I understand."

"That’s settled then; I have other things to attend to, I’ll hang up now." Geeta cheerfully waved her hand and then ended the call.

Naoki stood in place, pondering for a long time.

He appreciated Geeta’s goodwill, but as a friend, he couldn’t only receive without giving.

After a brief thought, Naoki decided to send Geeta some of his specially crafted coffee as a gift.

The coffee’s effect is [Sleepless], preventing the drinker from falling asleep after consuming it. For humans, it can also enhance concentration and energize someone while completing tasks.

Naoki called the two Eevees over and asked with a smile: "How about helping me take care of those Eevees together?"

"Eevee!"

Umbreon happily nodded, and Glaceon hesitated briefly before nodding along.

Naoki: "That’s great. There are still half a month before those Eevee Eggs can hatch, and then I’ll rely on you both."

"Eevee?" Umbreon was a bit confused; how long is half a month?

Naoki saw her meaning and explained: "Once the apples in the Apple Garden across the river are ripe, the Eevee Eggs will hatch."

He had checked the field this morning, and after Gogoat’s nurturing, those apple trees were growing quickly. In just a few months, they had grown taller and stronger, with clusters of immature apples on the trees.

As it stands now, it is expected to take half a month for the apples to mature.
