Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 719 377: Evolve, Eevee! Change Weapons, Farfetch'd!

Chapter 719 377: Evolve, Eevee! Change Weapons, Farfetch'd!

"Quack quack!"

In the Scallion Garden, Farfetch'd excitedly darted through the "scallion forest" that towered over two meters high.

Even as calm as it usually was, it couldn't contain its excitement at this moment.

So many scallions! This was practically the dreamland Farfetch'd had always longed for!

It couldn't imagine how happy a Farfetch'd born here would be!

No, it couldn't let its guard down so easily.

Farfetch'd's gaze instantly became alert as it swiftly turned its head, glancing left and right, worried that other Farfetch'd might be attracted to these perfect scallions and compete with it.

Because in the wild, this sort of thing happens; Farfetch'd often fight over better scallions.

Yet no other Farfetch'd were seen, but Naoki had somehow arrived at the Scallion Garden.

"Quack!" Farfetch'd exclaimed excitedly, tapping its leek against the nearby scallions, as if showing Naoki how perfect they were.

Naoki: "…Calm down, they'll be mature by tomorrow; wait until then to harvest."

Farfetch'd had waited nearly a month, so a little more time didn't matter. It curbed its emotions and calmed down.

"Quack!" Got it!

Just then, Farfetch'd noticed a few yellow-feathered, vacant-eyed Psyducks waddling over.

The Scallion Garden was built near the river, and the opposite side was where Psyducks lived; they often roamed nearby.

Since Farfetch'd had been practicing sword skills in the dummy area, it wasn't familiar with these Psyducks.

Thus, seeing those Psyducks approach, Farfetch'd became cautious.

Naoki helped introduce, "Don't worry, these Pokemon are water type Psyducks. They don't eat scallions or use them; they're probably just here to play."

Upon hearing this, Farfetch'd relaxed a bit internally.

It watched the Psyducks wander into the Scallion Garden, weaving among the sturdy scallions, looking up through gaps, but it wasn't sure what they were gazing at.

Soon, one Psyduck was drawn over by Farfetch'd.

It paddled its duck feet over to Farfetch'd, holding its head and staring vacantly at Farfetch'd.

Farfetch'd: ?!

Farfetch'd was startled, "Quack quack!"

Psyduck: "Quack quack?"

Then came a burst of encrypted quacking, a chorus of duck sounds.

Naoki: "…"

Oh well, these scallions won't mature until tomorrow. Whatever happens next, it'll have to wait until then to tell Farfetch'd.

Naoki waved goodbye to the group of Pokemon in front of him, then turned to the warehouse to start sorting the farm produce and fresh milk they planned to sell today.

Once everything was prepared, Zack arrived at the ranch just on time.

Naoki helped Zack load the goods into the car, then heard Zack say, "The fireworks festival is coming up soon; don't forget to attend!"

"Sure, I'll be there." Naoki replied with a smile.

That would be a great time to take Ogerpon to experience the local culture of Porto Marinada Town.

Besides Ogerpon, there are the Pokemon that arrived at the ranch this year.

Like Eevee, Farfetch'd, and Slugma.

All the goods were loaded onto the truck, and Zack closed the door, returning to the driver's seat, and shouted to Naoki through the window, "I'm off!"

Naoki nodded, watching Zack drive away.

Zack's life is actually quite busy, commuting daily between various rural ranches, transporting purchased fruits and vegetables to the town and other cities for sale.

He comes and goes in a hurry, mostly just greets and leaves.

After dinner, Naoki sat on the sofa as usual, watching tomorrow's weather forecast.

On the TV screen, a female host in uniform was reporting the weather forecast for the next few days.

"Expected from tonight, the Paldea region will experience a thunderstorm, primarily in the northwest. Residents are advised to prepare in advance."

"The southeastern region remains sunny, but high temperatures are expected in contracted areas; those venturing out are urged to prepare to prevent heat stroke."

Naoki looked at the screen featuring the soon-to-rain town area, surprisingly finding Porto Marinada Town listed.

"Thunderstorm, huh..."

Handing the remote to Calyrex, Naoki got up to collect the clothes outside.

Sure enough, it started raining at night.

Raindrops splattered against the windows, accompanied by the incessant sound of rain, followed by the deafening roar of thunder.

Pawmot and Eevee were pressed against the window, looking out at the dim, oppressive world through the hazy glass.

"Pawmo..."

"Eee..."

Compared to the frightening thunderstorm outside, the inside of the house exuded a warm and peaceful atmosphere.

Soft carpet on the wooden floor, plush beds placed beside the bed for Pokemon to sleep in, under the bright warm lighting, Naoki was trimming Koraidon's claws.

Koraidon closed its eyes comfortably, looking completely content.

Naoki glanced back and said to Pawmot and Eevee, "If you're scared, you can draw the curtains, so you won't see outside."

"Pawmo!"

Pawmot wasn't scared, but seeing the little Eevee beside it looking so terrified, it flew up to pull the curtains closed.

Little Eevee came back running, jumped onto the bed, and shouted loudly, "Eee!"
