Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 709 373: Tomb Raider and Ancient Gold Coins

Chapter 709 373: Tomb Raider and Ancient Gold Coins

At night, moonlight streams into the room through the curtains.

Above the dimly lit room, a "star" emanating a faint glow is floating.

Naoki is sitting on the bed, looking at the Minior together with Pawmot.

This is the first time he has seen a Pokemon like Minior.

Unlike other Pokemon living on land, Minior seems unable to understand human speech.

Though it spins its body gently in response to being touched or called, Naoki doesn't know if that's its conscious response or an unconscious action.

Because of this, the matter of how to handle this Minior has become a problem.

As a gift from Rayquaza to the Dragonite clan, if the Minior is placed in the ranch, it might just end up staying in a Poke Ball all the time.

After all, the ecological habits of this Pokemon prevent it from being exposed to air for long periods.

There were instances before where Minior would fall to the ground after streaking across the sky, only to vanish in the end.

Moreover, Minior's diet is vastly different from other Pokemon.

As a Pokemon born from nanoscale particle mutations, Minior lives by absorbing the dust floating in the ozone layer.

In summary, Minior is not suited for living on land.

Thinking of this, Naoki said to Pawmot and Koraidon: "Let's see if we can send this Minior back to the sky tomorrow!"

Koraidon had no objections and let out an "Arargh" as a response.

Pawmot also nodded, having heard from Naoki about this Pokemon's situation, knowing that it couldn't stay on the ground for too long, or else it would die.

So they needed to send this Minior to the sky.

Early the next day, Naoki found Dragonite, handed it the Poke Ball containing Minior, and let it accompany Pawmot to send Minior home, advising:

"Minior can't live in the ranch, so I'm entrusting it to you guys, please send it to the sky!"

Dragonite and Pawmot nodded.

"Roar!"

"Bawmo!"

The two Pokemon flew away as Naoki began a new day's work.

Milking the Gogoat, collecting Rock Salt from Garganacl, weeding the fields, gathering honey, feeding Snorlax...

Dragonite and Pawmot didn't return until ten o'clock.

Once Naoki confirmed with them that Minior had returned to the ozone layer, he felt relieved.

"Then it's fine." Naoki sighed in relief and said to the two Pokemon: "Thank you for your hard work, go play for a while, and then you can have lunch."

"Bawmo~"

"Roar~"

Just as the two Pokemon were about to run off, Naoki suddenly remembered there was something he hadn't said.

He quickly called Dragonite back and said: "One more thing!"

"Roar?" Dragonite looked puzzled.

Naoki: "Next time you see Rayquaza, remember to tell it not to send Pokemon like Minior again."

Dragonite understood Naoki's words right away, nodded, and promised: "Roar!"

"Alright, that's all for now, I'm heading to town to buy some groceries, you guys go have fun!"

Naoki patted Dragonite on the head and bid it farewell.

Koraidon was instructing Cyclizar and Dragonair on practicing Moves; Naoki didn't disturb them and instead called a Gogoat, hung two bags on its back, and rode it towards Porto Marinada Town.

Dragonite kept Naoki's words in mind.

So it immediately used a Dragon Scale to call over the esteemed Rayquaza.

Soon, Rayquaza's massive figure reappeared on the ranch.

A few Pokemon gathered around Rayquaza, explaining that Minior is not a star, but a Pokemon.

Dragonite said: "Roar, roar roar roar!" (Naoki said, if Minior stays on land all the time, it will die, which is so pitiful, so we just sent it back up to the sky!)

Hearing this, a hint of embarrassment flashed across Rayquaza's face.

Because it sometimes catches Minior and eats the shells on their bodies.

The shells contain energy similar to meteorites, though it doesn't eat Minior itself.

However, even so, those Minior still flee frantically when they see it.

But Rayquaza thought it couldn't tell Dragonite and the others about this, or it might ruin its image as a great hero in their eyes.

In the past, it wasn't a big deal, but now, with these Pokemons admiring it, Rayquaza felt a burden.

"Roar."

Hearing Dragonite and the others chatter about Minior's situation, Rayquaza nodded, indicating that it wouldn't catch them anymore.

In its heart, it started thinking about what to bring to these Pokemon next time.

Yet Rayquaza thought for a long time without finding a good answer, so it prepared to go see what was out in space.

Thinking of this, Rayquaza bid farewell to the Pokemon in front of it and turned to fly away.

Naoki just happened to return from town, riding the Gogoat; he was still some distance from the ranch. As he looked up, he saw Rayquaza flying out of the ranch.

Seeing this, a question mark appeared above Naoki's head.

?

What's happening? Why did Rayquaza come over again?

He quickly urged Gogoat to speed up, and upon arriving back at the ranch, he saw Dragonite and the others happily looking up at the sky.

Naoki approached and asked: "Did you call Rayquaza over again?"

Dragonite happily nodded, patting its chest and assuring: "Roar!"
