Chapter 1524 1524: 818 Aftermath

After clearing the main building, Jimmy glanced down at the room on the second floor where Gus and old Mike were. The two were still lying on the ground, looking completely unlike criminals. If he hadn't known their background, Jimmy might have doubted his judgment about them.

However, not everyone was that well-behaved. A few people had already fled the main building and were near the entrance. But Jimmy had locked the door in advance, and now they were trying to find the key in the security room.

The main target had already been taken care of, and those who were trying to escape weren't much of an issue. The key point was, they appeared to be mostly women and servants, so they were left to go.

Jimmy took out his phone and dialed Alejandro, "Hey, how soon can your people get here?"

"What? Not going smoothly? Need support?"

Jimmy hesitated slightly, "No, it's almost done. There's just a few ordinary people left. A few might get away."

Alejandro didn't expect Jimmy to act so quickly. He glanced at his watch: "Maybe still need to wait a bit, I'll head over first."

Jimmy: "Yeah, drive over. It's still a bit far. But be careful, I'm not sure if the outside has been cleared."

Alejandro: "I don't just sit in an office."

Alejandro hung up the phone and touched his head. It's been only two hours since they separated. Although they planned to act at night, they weren't supposed to act during dinner, right? Shouldn't it be at dawn?

Cleaning up was not easy, and it's impossible to completely block the news. Jimmy definitely let those servants and unrelated people go, one could guess that from his past actions. When he took down Carlos's gang, the servants were let go too, only the gang members were killed. Who knows how he distinguishes them.

Although the news will leak, Eladio's estate surely still has plenty to gain, and manpower won't be lacking. While walking back to where he parked before, Alejandro told his people to hurry. Synchronizing both sides should save some time.

Jimmy looked at the remaining occupied rooms, kicked the door, and shouted in Spanish for them to leave quickly. But it seemed Gus and the others heard his words, thinking that they were safe too. The two quickly stood up without taking anything from the room, and opened the door to leave.

"Gus, stop."

Just as Gus left the room, he heard someone call his name, immediately stopping in his tracks and slowly turning to face the person in front of him. Mike didn't flee alone either, only running two steps before stopping.

Jimmy aimed his pistol at them, "You two are really lucky to survive."

Gus raised his hands slightly, not above his head, but around chest level. He looked at the fully armed person before him, thinking for a moment before speaking: "I imagined many different possibilities, but didn't expect this ending. Is Eladio dead?"

Jimmy: "Yeah, on the third floor. Want to take a look?"

Gus: "Can I? Of course."

Jimmy was just speaking casually, but didn't expect him to go along with it, chuckling, "OK, go up and take a look. Don't do anything to make things difficult for me."

Gus continued with his hands slightly raised, heading towards the stairs, Mike following behind him, Jimmy at the end. The three arrived together at Eladio's room on the third floor.

Gus stood at the doorway, staring at the deceased Eladio, his expression changing multiple times. Finally, he turned to Jimmy: "Thank you."

Jimmy shrugged: "You're welcome. Any other requests?"

Gus shook his head slightly, "No, this is enough."

Jimmy: "OK, then, now it's my turn to ask. What exactly happened this past week?"

Gus: "Let me confirm one thing first, you're Agent Yang, right?"

Jimmy: "You can guess, but I won't admit it."

Gus took a deep breath, "Of course, I understand. Since you're here, I suppose my people and factory are..."

Jimmy: "Yeah, the net is closing in, though a few are still on the run. But I think since you're still alive, you can provide information on them for me, right? Catch them to keep you company, so your prison life won't be so lonely. You'll help me, right? And you too, old Mike."

Gus: "Do I have other options?"

Jimmy: "Sure, you can choose to die here, that's your right. Oh, but before dying, could you settle the bill? I avenged you, after all."

Gus stood there, hands half-raised, stunned, not speaking or moving, his mind unable to process. But fortunately, his reaction was quick enough, "Of course, it's what I should do. Do you want a check, a transfer, or cash?"

Jimmy was taken aback, "Whoa. You really are particular, but regardless, both of you need to go back and face judgment. I assume you have no objections, right?"

Old Mike looked very upset, but Gus remained calm, "Of course, business is business. I'm paying you just for avenging me. By the way, when we return, are you handling this case?"

Jimmy: "No, I'm only investigating Hank's assault case, your drug dealings are DEA's business."

Gus showed a faint smile: "Can I ask, are all the people here dead?"
