Chapter 1522 - 817: A Simple Battle
Jimmy really likes silencers, but unfortunately, his job prevents him from having any opportunity to use them in normal operations. Even buying a silencer can make people think he's suspicious.
At night, the effect of a silencer isn't that significant. At least from close range, it still sounds like a hammer hitting a steel bar. This kind of sound might not be particularly obvious in cities or other places, but in the wild without obstructions, it's very strange.
So after firing two shots, Jimmy immediately lay on the ground to observe the manor several hundred meters away, while crawling into a semi-underground bunker.
However, he's somewhat overestimating the opponents. After waiting for a few minutes, he still hasn't discovered anyone coming out of the manor, nor any searchlights or anything like that. Unless the opponent is using infrared binoculars, they probably haven't noticed Jimmy.
The direction is not quite right. This side is just the entrance to the manor. Jimmy moved sideways from the sentry's position to the side of the manor. This direction is more reassuring; at least from the binoculars, there seems to be nothing unusual. Several hundred meters isn't particularly far, and Jimmy advances with a slow jog, which isn't particularly strenuous.
Approaching along the wall, Jimmy understands why they didn't set anything up here. A wall nearly four meters tall blocks the way; ordinary people definitely can't get over.
Jimmy moved left and right along the corner of the wall for some distance, confirmed there was no one guarding behind, retreated a few paces, took a running start, and kicked off the wall. He stepped up forcefully three times, his whole body soaring quite a bit, and grabbed the top of the wall, hanging there for a few seconds. Then, using both hands, he lifted his head above the wall to observe before climbing up and over.
"Whoosh," both feet landed with his legs bent to absorb the impact, and at the same time, he rolled forward smoothly. Jimmy landed successfully.
This height is no problem for him, but ordinary people definitely can't jump like this, easy to fracture bones.
In fact, this kind of environment makes people complacent easily. The security under the protection of such high walls surely don't pay attention to all areas. At least the lawn and the flower beds in front of Jimmy form a pretty good cover. For regular security, there should be at least patrol arrangements, if not fixed sentry posts, and Jimmy doesn't see any security personnel nearby.
The manor looks quite different from the satellite map he saw. The differences mainly focus on the building scale. Although Jimmy has already determined the direction and size of the buildings from the map, entering the manor in person, he realizes he previously underestimated the size.
Crouching beside the flower bed, Jimmy sees the first security personnel in his sight. He's standing beside a dim landscape light, but he's not looking in Jimmy's direction. There's a tiny glimmer at the corner of his mouth, probably smoking.
Jimmy needs to head toward the front gate. This guard's position is crucial; he'll definitely see him. Jimmy crouches along the flower beds and approaches from behind, covering the guard's nose with his left hand, and with his gloved hand, presses the cigarette from the guard's mouth onto his face. With his right hand, he grabs the hair and forcefully pulls it sideways and downwards. With a "snap," the guard goes limp. Jimmy holds the head and pulls back, leaving the body behind the flower bed, successfully passing through the area.
The reason for heading near the front gate is because it's the location of the parking lot. The satellite photo clearly distinguishes the internal roads of the manor and exposed areas. This spot is very close to the gate; the photo shows several cars here. If the opposition tries to escape in the chaos, they will definitely pass this way. Jimmy needs to check the gate to prevent accidents.
After dealing with a fixed sentry beside the gate, Jimmy arrives near the front gate, a regular steel bar gate. The latch is inserted, and a chain is hung across the two gates. However, the padlock is only hooked, not locked. He can only lock it himself.
The target is the drug lord group's leader, and no one can be sure that there aren't others around his manor. Locking the gate can at least delay them for a while. Inside this manor, since it's the boss's residence, there won't be too many security personnel. Even just for a better mood, the proportion of service personnel here must be higher.
Moreover, it's fortunate he didn't come through the main entrance. The sentry's position is very off-center. If he had climbed over the gate, he might have easily alarmed those inside.
Advancing from the side again, nearing the central building of the manor, "Who's there?" someone suddenly calls out loudly. Jimmy looks up and sees a person open the door at the building entrance, looking in Jimmy's direction.
"Bang," as Jimmy sees him, he immediately fires. Clearly, they have other monitoring methods and discovered Jimmy early on. This person had already drawn his pistol while opening the door to shout, but hadn't pointed it at Jimmy yet, apparently lacking confirmation of Jimmy's identity due to the darkness.
The gunfire soon alarms the people inside the house. Jimmy runs toward the building while observing, noticing movement first from a room similar to a security office. Several people hurriedly pull out their guns and rush to the door and windows, and the noise inside also starts growing louder with shouts.
