Chapter 433 433 You Do As You Please; I'll Lie Flat!
On the moving villa, Ning Xuan seethed with hatred.
That Luo Tianyi has gone too far. It was one thing to take Wu Pianpian and the others, but to also steal my Heavenly Sacrifice Cauldron is crossing the line! All my hard work… for nothing!
"Dabao, the Chi Ming Dynasty should have a Teleportation Array, right?" Ning Xuan had decided he would confront Luo Tianyi head-on this time.
What had arrived just now was a mere virtual projection; he was certain the real Luo Tianyi must have gone to the Chi Ming Dynasty.
Cheng Dabao's beautiful eyes lit up. "Yes! And quite a few of them, actually."
She also wanted to go to the Chi Ming Dynasty to help Ye Qingqing.
"Then do you know where the other ends of the arrays are?"
Cheng Dabao's excitement instantly deflated. In truth, she didn't even know where the Chi Ming Dynasty was located. She had no memories from before she was twelve, and her earliest recollections were from the Heavenly Principle Star Realm. She had only heard Ye Qingqing mention the Chi Ming Dynasty's Teleportation Arrays in passing, and that was it.
From her expression alone, Ning Xuan knew he couldn't count on her. Still, he refused to give up. "I've heard that the Chi Ming Dynasty controls the Big Dipper Star Domain. The Star Domain has Seven Realms, so shouldn't the dynasty's Teleportation Array be able to connect to all of them?"
"I often heard Ye Qingqing mention the Big Dipper Star Domain, but what are the Seven Realms?"
"The Big Dipper Seven Realms consist of Tian Shu, Tianxuan, Tianji, Tian Quan, Yuheng, Kai Yang, and Yao Guang."
Cheng Dabao's elegant brows furrowed. She had little interest in the Big Dipper Star Domain, so she had never paid much attention when it was mentioned. After a long moment of thought, she had a flash of inspiration. "I remember now! I heard Ye Qingqing mention the Tian Shu Realm. He said Tian Shu is the hub of the Big Dipper and has a Teleportation Array that leads directly to Chi Ming!"
"Great! We'll head to Tian Shu!" Ning Xuan decided on the spot. He then pushed the moving villa to accelerate even further.
This new moving villa was a gift from Luo Tianyi, supposedly as compensation. It far surpassed his previous one in every respect: defensive ability, flight speed, and even its space and luxury.
BANG! BANG!
The villa became a shooting star, hurtling forward at breakneck speed and constantly piercing through dimensional barriers. This continued until, in the vast, starry sky, a terrifying palm strike appeared out of nowhere. The moving villa was swatted down like a falling meteor.
Ning Xuan desperately tried to regain control of the villa the entire time. By the time he finally succeeded, it had already plunged through the atmosphere of a world. Gazing down at the land below, an idea struck him, and he steered the moving villa directly toward the central region.
The villa carved a long streak across the sky. Along the way, countless Flying Treasures soared into the air, and the wilderness echoed with the powerful cries of giant birds, a sound that could shatter stone and metal.
After Ning Xuan guided the moving villa unimpeded across mountains and seas, a massive city appeared in his line of sight. Before he could even get close, a roar thundered through the air.
"Who goes there?! State your name immediately!"
At the same time, several giant cannons materialized out of thin air in the void ahead. Ning Xuan's eyes narrowed. The dark muzzles of the cannons resembled the eyes of a phantom, possessing the power to lock down one's very soul. These were definitely not like the thermal weapons from Earth. A single blast could probably annihilate an ordinary Zun-level cultivator.
But the moving villa should be able to withstand it without a problem. That sudden attack from before must have come from a cultivator at the Seventh Layer Heavens of the Holy Realm, at least!
"Which Realm is this? We wish to go to Tian Shu. Do you have a Teleportation Array that can take us there?" Ning Xuan asked, getting straight to the point.
After a moment of silence, the people on the other side burst into wild laughter. Then, two cultivators appeared beside each of the eight giant cannons, every one of them exuding a powerful aura. Not only that, but the various Flying Treasures and exotic beasts that had taken to the sky because of the villa also began to appear in the distance.
The cultivators by the cannons exchanged glances. Then, the space before them distorted, and a middle-aged scholar materialized.
"We are unaware of your origins, so allowing you to enter rashly would pose a great risk," the scholar said. "How about this: leave your Flying Artifact behind, and we will permit you to enter the city. You can then proceed directly to the Teleportation Array and depart for Tian Shu!"
Ning Xuan raised an eyebrow. He sharply noticed the surprised looks on the faces of some of the surrounding people as the scholar finished speaking.
"Then I thank you," Ning Xuan said, cupping his fists before landing the villa. He then retracted the massive structure. Seeing the huge, luxurious Flying Artifact shrink down, countless eyes in the void glinted with greed.
"Please lead the way," Ning Xuan said again to the scholar as the others landed behind him.
The middle-aged scholar just smiled and shook his head. "You must leave that Flying Artifact behind."
"That's not an option, I still need—Alright, fine." Ning Xuan instinctively refused, but he relented when he saw all eight giant cannons in the void swivel to aim directly at him. As he spoke, he released the moving villa, letting it expand back to its original state.
A fiery glint flashed in the scholar's eyes. He stepped aside to let them pass.
Ning Xuan asked in surprise, "Aren't you going to guide us?"
"Someone will naturally guide you after you enter the city," the scholar replied after a brief pause.
Ning Xuan nodded and quickly led Cheng Dabao past him. The middle-aged scholar paid him no mind, his attention completely fixed on the moving villa. As such, he completely missed the smile that flitted across Ning Xuan's face.
"It seems that dignitary is a man of his word," Ning Xuan muttered to himself upon seeing the armored soldiers waiting for them just inside the city.
"This way, please."
Although the city gate had closed promptly behind them, the soldiers parted to reveal a large carriage. It was pulled by four unusually massive, exotic beasts, leaving plenty of space inside.
Without a moment's hesitation, Ning Xuan boarded the carriage with Cheng Dabao. They had just taken their seats when a series of clicks echoed around them. Amidst the clang of metal, the carriage transformed into a completely sealed, impenetrable cage. As if that wasn't enough, a strange, sweet fragrance suddenly flooded the interior.
"Go!" a voice shouted from outside, and the carriage lurched into motion.
"I can't believe that was so easy!"
"Yeah, I thought we were in for a nasty fight."
"They're so inexperienced in the ways of Jianghu. You don't think there's a more powerful expert who hasn't shown up yet, do you?!"
"It's possible! But that's not our problem anymore. This thing is a fortress!"
Ning Xuan took Cheng Dabao's pulse. Finding that she was merely unconscious with her Element Force sealed but otherwise unharmed, he gently laid her down. Then, he leisurely listened to the chatter from outside. However, after listening for a long time, he gleaned no useful information and couldn't help but shake his head with a sigh. All he could do now was wait in boredom.
He wasn't the least bit worried about the moving villa. The one Luo Tianyi had given him was a completely upgraded model and was directly bound to him. According to Luo Tianyi, no matter how far away it was, a single thought from Ning Xuan could instantly recall it to his consciousness space.
If he wasn't mistaken, those people outside the city were probably already fighting tooth and nail over something they could never hope to touch.
