New World with Four Husbands

Chapter 395: House tour

Chapter 395: House tour

"Welcome to our humble abode." Coco said, pushing the door and holding it open for the others.

"Wow! I already love how the outside looks, but the inside looks more welcoming!" Jacques said, giggling as she walked past Coco, her feet carrying her to the living room.

"I agree." Renaldo hummed, his eyes sweeping across the hall before landing on his wife, and followed behind her.

"I’m so glad that your husbands are taking care of you." Jonathan commented last, walking through the door, and looked around the inside of the house. "This kind of interior doesn’t seem to fit them.. It seems like it was done like this because you would like it."

The mediators behind him froze, the first and third husbands freezing in the tracks while the second and fourth became stiff as they walked past Coco.

"Silly, Zaque said he preferred this kind of look." Coco laughed, closing the door behind Zaque and Alhai once they broke out of their nervous halt and immediately rushed inside to grab Jonathan.

Well, more like Zaque placed Jonathan in a headlock.

"Ack— let go of me!" Jonathan tried to struggle against the red haired mediator, but the mediator seems to be stronger than him.

"He’s so silly, right? Don’t listen to him, Coco! He doesn’t know what he was talking about." Zaque laughed, the sound coming out forced and awkward, but all Coco could do as a response was a single nod of her head.

"Right.." Coco blinked and paused for a moment. "Let go of him now.. I’ll give them a tour around the house."

At the soft order, Alhai grabbed Zaque’s arm and pulled him away from the scarred faced mediator, then he dragged him inside the kitchen.

"We’ll prepare snacks." Alhai called, letting Coco know what they were about to do.

"Have fun with the tour." Quizen said, brushing his hand on her hip before he walked away, following the two mediators inside the kitchen.

"I’ll go and start cooking lunch.. I’ll cook some light meals for all of us.. But make sure to take your time with the tour, Coco." Heiren mumbled, rushing past her and into the kitchen.

Coco and the others who were left standing by the hall stared at the kitchen door that was soon shut behind Heiren.

Jacques shifted in her spot and turned to Coco, a smile emerging in her face as she gestured down the hall. "Are you going to walk us around now or later?"

"I’ll do it now." Coco answered, her feet carrying her down the hall, making the others follow suit.

The tour around the house started with the music room— which was quickly owned by Quizen because he’s the only one who can play music out of five of them.

After showing them the music room, Coco brought them to the small library that barely had books with only one shelf having books stored in it due to Alhai not buying anything for the past couple of days.

Then again, Coco hasn’t given them any money to use to buy whatever they want.

I should give them some money before bed. Coco thought, making a mental note on what she needs to do by the end of the day.

The tour went on for the day, from the library to the pantry room, then after the pantry room, Coco led them to the guest rooms which were two rooms on the first floor and one room on the second floor.

There wasn’t that much to show to her friends so she just talked halfway through the tour.

"And this is my bedroom." Coco announced, pushing the door open and walking inside so the others could follow behind her. "I don’t have much except for my clothing and the bed because yeah.."

Jacques rushed past Coco and immediately looked around as if she was looking for something, but she remained hovering near Coco and not walking five feet away from her.

"Feel free to look around." Coco encouraged her.

"No, no, I’m good." The pink haired woman waved off and continued to look around, then her eyes landed on the bed where Konoha laid herself into and curled up.

"I haven’t seen that kind of a creature before." She pointed out, making the others look at Konoha.

They all stared at the sleeping feline on the bed, her fluffy white fur attracting their attention the most along with her flickering tail.

"Yeah, but you shouldn’t touch her at the moment." Coco quickly dispersed their obvious desire to pet the cat which made them turn to her with puzzled faces. "She’ll come to you once she feels like it so don’t worry."

"Oh.. So just like Jacques— ack!" Renaldo groaned aloud, clutching his stomach that Jacques smacked a moment prior.

Coco laughed and nodded her head. "Yeah, just like her."

"Hey! I thought you’re on my side!" The pink haired woman huffed out, crossing her arms and narrowing her eyes towards Coco.

"It’s a compliment." Coco teased, smiling. "Anyway, the only room I haven’t shown you is the kitchen, but you’ll see it once we get called down to eat— and well, my husbands’ bedrooms, too."

"We’re not interested in their rooms." Jonathan spoke up, making Renaldo and Jacques nod their head.

"You didn’t have to show your room actually, but we appreciate it.. Thank you." The butcher mumbled, quietly expressing his appreciation.

"You’re welcome." Coco said, giggling.

"We’re done, right? So get out, Renaldo, Jonathan!" Jacques turned and started pushing the mediators out the door.

"What?"

"Wait— why?!"

"I have to talk to Coco! Alone!" Jacques announced and continued pushing them out. "Go cook with her husbands or something! We’ll come out once we’re done!"

Coco’s heart raced anxiously as she watched Jacques adamantly shoo the mediators out of the room.

She wanted to walk out of the room to escape whatever conversation Jacques wanted to have, but the woman had already closed the door.

Just what does she want to talk about?
