Never Just Friends

Healing Together

Healing Together

The warmth of Finn’s embrace was the only thing that seemed to calm Hanna’s racing heart. She could feel the weight of the past pressing down on her, but with him holding her, the edges of the darkness slowly began to fade.

“You don’t have to do this alone,” Finn murmured, his voice soft against her hair. “You’re not alone anymore.”

Hanna clung to him, the comfort of his presence anchoring her in the present. “I’m just so tired,” she whispered. “Tired of always looking over my shoulder, waiting for something to go wrong.”

“I know,” Finn replied, his hand gently stroking her back. “But we’ll face whatever comes next together. We’ll be okay.”

She pulled back slightly, her face still buried in his chest as she looked up at him. His eyes were filled with love and determination, and for the first time in weeks, Hanna allowed herself to believe that maybe—just maybe—everything could be okay.

“I’m scared,” she admitted softly. “What if they come back? What if everything we’ve done just makes them angrier?”

Finn cupped her face gently, his thumb brushing away the tears that had begun to fall. “Whatever happens, we deal with it together. No more secrets, no more running. We’re stronger than we’ve ever been.”

Hanna felt the truth of his words settle in her chest. She wasn’t just strong because of what she had survived, but because of the love and support that now surrounded her. She had Finn. She had her friends. And most importantly, she had herself again.

“I’m ready to fight with you,” she said quietly, her voice filled with resolve.

Finn smiled, his gaze soft and filled with tenderness. “I’m always here, Hanna. Always.”

For the first time in a long time, Hanna felt a sense of peace. The past had shaped her, yes, but it didn’t define her. She wasn’t the girl running from shadows anymore. She was the woman standing in the light, ready to face whatever came next.

As Finn kissed the top of her head, she realized that while the storm may have passed, life would never be the same. It would be better. Stronger. And most importantly, it would be theirs. Together.
