Chapter 128: Is What’s on DeHart Supreme Divinity?

Chapter 128: Is What’s on DeHart Supreme Divinity?

Could it be that Chu He had already surpassed the Emperor Realm?

How else could he have struck down the Divine Child of the White Elephant Empire with such thunderous might!

Some Martial Artists wanted to flee, but the moment Chu He turned, they dared not move a muscle.

Chu He hadn’t paid them any attention from the very beginning.

But his earlier display had already left a deep and terrifying impression on the crowd of Martial Artists.

"Do you know what question I just asked DeHart?"

Chu He appeared before Galava and asked, looking down on him.

"What question?" Galava’s lips trembled.

Chu He didn’t answer, merely staring coldly at Galava.

"Alright. The director of the Rainbow Welfare Institute did indeed research that kind of power.

That power only appears in high-level Evil Spirits.

Evil Spirits of such a high level already possess the power of destruction.

According to the director’s long-term research, this power is called Divinity.

And above Divinity, there is Supreme Divinity."

Galava answered honestly.

Chu He had killed DeHart, the Divine Child of the White Elephant Empire, as easily as dicing a radish. Galava had no reason to keep resisting; the most important thing now was to save his own life.

"The power DeHart possessed, was it Supreme Divinity?" Chu He asked.

"I don’t think so."

Galava hesitated for a moment before replying truthfully, "Supreme Divinity should be far more powerful. Compared to Divinity, it’s the difference between heaven and earth."

In truth, Galava was terrified. ’Chu He must have used some method to block out the sound just now. He killed DeHart only after he finished questioning him. I don’t know what DeHart told him... what if Chu He thinks I’m lying and decides to kill me too?’

"So, are you ready to come back to the Great Xia Empire with me now?" Chu He said with a smile.

The questions in his mind had been answered. ’DeHart and Galava couldn’t possibly have colluded, so their answers corroborate each other. That special energy must be Divinity, and the knowledge inside Galava’s head is a real treasure.’

"Alright."

Galava lowered his head.

’I should have just let him take me to the Great Xia Empire earlier. He just had to beat me into submission. Now look, the Divine Child got caught up in this and died.’

Chu He reached out, grabbed Galava’s shoulder, and the two of them vanished from the area.

Suddenly, one of the Martial Artists collapsed onto the ground, gasping for great lungfuls of air.

The people around him shot him confused glances, wondering what was wrong.

The Martial Artist gave an embarrassed laugh and said, his voice still laced with lingering fear, "When Chu He was here, I was so scared I actually forgot to breathe. It made me so dizzy just now that I almost passed out from suffocating myself. I was genuinely afraid he’d kill us all to cover up the fact he killed the Divine Child of the White Elephant Empire. That sea of golden fire alone would have been enough to bury us on the Black Continent Grassland forever."

As he spoke, the Martial Artist wiped the sweat from his face, his expression bitter. "This is the tragedy of being weak. Your life is constantly in the hands of the strong. Whether you live or die, and when it happens, it all depends on their whim."

Another Martial Artist clapped the man on the shoulder. "Why are your pants wet?"

Only then did the man realize it, and he flew into a rage. "Who the hell pissed on my pants?! Have you no shame!"

Everyone was speechless.

The Emperor Realm expert from before spoke in a grave voice. "I suggest you all leave as soon as possible.

The Rainbow Welfare Institute has lost some sort of balance, and I’m afraid things here are about to spiral out of control.

This institute is far more terrifying than any of the Empires’ Demon Caves.

I fear there are more Curse Level Evil Spirits like the one from the Black Pearl here than you can count on one hand."

With that, the Emperor Realm expert sped away, disappearing into the vast Black Continent Grassland.

Chu He had already left, and it went without saying that the most valuable thing in the entire Rainbow Welfare Institute had been the man with the crow-like face. But Chu He had taken him, and no one present had the power to stop it. With the grand prize gone, the Rainbow Welfare Institute’s appeal was greatly diminished for this Emperor Realm expert.

"Blue Star’s Eastern Domain is about to fall into chaos."

"The Great Xia and White Elephant Empires are both in the Eastern Domain. With the death of their Divine Child, the White Elephant Empire is bound to retaliate."

"Blue Star is growing more and more turbulent. The Evil Spirit invasion has already brought disaster upon humanity, and now the conflicts between the empires seem to be escalating."

Many of the departing Martial Artists sighed, their faces etched with worry.

...

The Great Jing Empire.

「Green Forest City.」

"I’ve had this nagging feeling of unease lately," Gao Yimin said, sporting faint dark circles under her eyes. "Knowing the Lighthouse Empire’s style, there’s no way they’d stay this quiet after suffering such a huge loss."

Lately, she’d been having trouble falling asleep. She was terrified that if she ever truly let herself sleep, an expert from the Lighthouse Empire would attack, and she wouldn’t have time to react before being killed.

"Why don’t we just relocate? Green Forest City is already in ruins. There aren’t many habitable buildings left anyway."

It was rare for Dai Ju to agree with Gao Yimin on anything.

In truth, Xiao Cangqing had already considered these concerns and was planning to lead a retreat. However, the members of the New World Organization staunchly refused, claiming their master had ordered them to defend Green Forest City to the death. They were forbidden from retreating a single step, even if it cost them their lives.

Xiao Cangqing didn’t know if the "master" the New World Organization members spoke of was Chu He or the goat-headed Evil Spirit, Bafumie.

Still, Xiao Cangqing wasn’t too worried. Chu He had planted some kind of method in his body to monitor him in real time. ’If I really run into danger, Chu He might appear again,’ he reasoned. ’After all, for now at least, I’m still of some value to him.’

During his uneventful time in Green Forest City, Xiao Cangqing had not been idle. He purchased a large number of the Lighthouse Empire’s research reports on Evil Spirits and was attempting to house more of them within his body, hoping to push his combat strength and realm to a higher level.

Xiao Cangqing himself was quite talented. Although his confidence had been shattered by Chu He, that didn’t mean he was a fool.

Xiao Cangqing had never believed the Emperor Realm was the limit of human potential. Just as he had believed the King-Sealing Realm wasn’t humanity’s limit, long before the concept of the Emperor Realm even existed.

Besides, Chu He’s power was plain to see—he was the best example. Xiao Cangqing suspected Chu He’s strength had long since surpassed the Emperor Realm. He might have even broken through before the Emperor Realm was a known concept.

’The man is an absolute monster, terrifying beyond belief!’

’Why did the sky just turn dark?’

An inexplicable chill shot through Xiao Cangqing’s heart.

Snapping out of his reverie, he looked out the window.

A gloomy darkness was rapidly rolling in from the distance.
