Compared to the chaotic Iwagakure camp, Konoha’s three thousand elite ninja stared wide-eyed, scarcely able to believe the sight before them: a giant, unrestrained, tearing through Iwagakure’s defenses and demolishing their camp.
Many nervously swallowed hard.
While most Konoha ninja had heard of the Susanoo’s terrifying power, few had witnessed it firsthand.
Now, they were truly seeing this fearsome power, exclusive to the Uchiha.
Are all you Uchiha this monstrous?
The surrounding ninja instinctively glanced at the Uchiha members nearby.
The Uchiha ninja lifted their chins, expressions filled with pride.
See that!
This is the power of the Sharingan. The power of the Uchiha.
Faced with the complete Susanoo, no ninja in the Iwagakure camp could put up a fight.
Even though Kazuki was simply trampling and destroying with his Susanoo, the massive camp was reduced to ruins in just a few minutes. Corpses lay strewn among the rubble.
Hundreds Iwagakure ninja, scared out of their wits, fled in all directions.
Even those who tried to stand and resist were ineffective.
"It’s our turn to take the stage."
The camp was already destroyed. Iwagakure had suffered heavy losses.
This wasn’t just tearing through defenses—it was crushing them by sheer force. Not only the defenses, but the entire camp was dismantled.
Kazuki was only responsible for tearing open the defenses and destroying the camp. How many Iwagakure ninja died in the process was incidental.
Now it was time for Orochimaru and the village’s ninja to perform.
Mission accomplished and Kazuki withdrew.
Next, he needed to return to the village, to hold things down. Otherwise, Shikaku would go mad with anxiety.
"Is he... gone?"
The terrified Iwagakure ninja cautiously surveyed the ruined camp. Their expressions were uglier than if they were crying.
"Kill!!!"
At that moment, a large force of Konoha ninja charged forward.
It’s over.
Watching enemies continuously emerge from the darkness, including many with Sharingan gleaming crimson in the night, the Iwagakure ninja’s hearts sank. They knew the camp was finished—the village was finished.
Konoha, following Kumogakure, had also entered the war.
So, what would happen to Iwagakure next?
The Iwagakure camp was completely destroyed, personnel losses were severe. What remained were a group of terrified ninja, utterly incapable of resisting Konoha’s elite forces.
The battle was one-sided. It didn’t take long for the surrounding Iwagakure ninja to be wiped out.
"So then, it’s hunting time." Orochimaru licked his lips.
"Where to begin?"
Orochimaru knew he didn’t have much time. He had to complete the mission before Iwagakure could react.
Then, he could plunder as much wealth as possible from villages and towns.
Plundering mineral resources was the primary objective.
Some Iwagakure ninja had surely escaped; they would report the news. Now it was a race against time—whose speed was faster?
Even if they immediately reported the news, it would still take time for the information to reach Iwagakure.
And Iwagakure would need time to formulate a response.
Frankly, at this point, Iwagakure would have difficulty mobilizing forces to respond.
Indeed, some Iwagakure ninja successfully escaped.
But the number of escapees was minimal, and they had no special way to transmit messages. They could only desperately run toward the village.
Unwittingly, this bought Orochimaru a great deal of time.
No matter how fast ninja could run, their speed couldn’t match some summoning beasts or messenger hawks.
By the time they ran all the way back to Iwagakure, Konoha’s plundering operation would already be in full swing.
"Who goes ther- Agh!!"
Guards at the mining areas detected the enemy’s presence. Whether they sent signals or not, large numbers of Konoha ninja immediately attacked.
Quickly eliminating the enemy, they began collecting various mineral resources.
Mining areas, transfer warehouses—all were targets of Konoha’s assault.
For a time, the entire Land of Earth descended into chaos.
Countless Land of Earth citizens couldn’t understand how Konoha ninja had penetrated deep into their territory to cause havoc.
Where were Iwagakure’s border defenses?
How could they allow enemies to just storm into their country and run amok?
"Quick! Report to the Tsuchikage! Konoha has declared war on the village! They’ve broken through the border camp! Large numbers of enemy ninja have invaded the Land of Earth!!"
"???"
A patrol team stopped the fleeing ninja. Before they could question him, his words startled them.
The camp has been breached? Large numbers of enemies have invaded the Land of Earth?
Is this some kind of joke?
The patrol leader urgently ordered:
"Bring him. We’ll return to the village immediately and report this to Lord Tsuchikage."
The team quickly grabbed their exhausted, barely-standing comrade and rushed back to the village at top speed, heading straight for the Tsuchikage’s administrative building.
In the Tsuchikage’s office, Ōnoki sat worrying about the front lines.
Iwagakure’s resources were running low.
War was costly, and misfortune seemed to come in waves. Iwagakure hadn’t received good news in a long time. Even resource plundering in the Land of Waterfalls was becoming increasingly difficult.
Kumogakure ninja always appeared like hunting dogs, blocking them at every turn.
Now, with full-scale war erupting, resource consumption was increasing. Ōnoki was so worried he was losing hair.
"Lord Tsuchikage! A ninja from the front-line camp has escaped back to the village. He has an urgent report!"
"???"
A ninja from the front-line camp?
Nothing’s happened, has it?
Ōnoki’s heart skipped a beat. Suppressing his unease, he calmly nodded.
"Let him in."
As the Iwagakure ninja who had fled from the front lines entered the Tsuchikage’s office, he immediately fell to his knees, choking out:
"Lord Tsuchikage! Konoha has launched a war against our village! A sneak attack, without a declaration! A terrifying giant charged into the camp, destroying it in an instant! Then, large numbers of enemy ninja poured into our territory!"
"Wait. You said a giant? What kind of giant?"
Ōnoki was frantic, but he forced himself to calm down and question carefully.
"A golden giant wreathed in flames. Very similar to the Susanoo described in intelligence..."
BANG!!!
Ōnoki suddenly erupted, slamming his hand violently on the desk. Standing on his chair, the short-statured man roared, face red:
"UCHIHA KAZUKI!!!!"
A golden giant wreathed in flames—exactly like the Susanoo in the intelligence reports.
Ōnoki didn’t need to ask further. He could immediately identify the culprit.
Damn it! Why did Konoha suddenly attack our village?
And with a sneak attack!!!
Did they also want revenge?
Recalling all the past sins committed against Konoha, Ōnoki began to feel... unsettled.
