Ninjas are individuals who often see themselves as something less than human, mere tools for some greater good. Personal desires are often disregarded. Even though they may fight, even kill, it is almost never personal. Always for the sake of the mission, the village.

Why does the village accept and assign Ninjas to missions? To earn coin, food, and secure their survival. Thus the true ninja way is that of a mercenary, one who both lives and dies by the sword. All are indoctrinated with this ideology; murderers, supernatural beings, all constrained from birth.

But what happens when an outsider enters the mix? One not bound by the implicit ninja code that pervades this world? One with his own desires and a degenerate moral code?

If he's strong enough... The ninja world might be exploited to become a paradise. His exclusive paradise.
