Chapter 154 154: Hyuga Arin vs. Orochimaru

"Snatching bells, huh."

Hyuga Arin rubbed his chin as he looked at the bells in Orochimaru's hand.

Such an old cliché.

Where did this thing even originate from?

"Teacher Orochimaru, why are there only two bells?" Nawaki asked.

A smile appeared on Orochimaru's face as he shook the bells slightly.

"Of course, that's because one person will fail."

"The one who fails will be punished."

Nawaki and Aburame Mushi-hime both turned solemn. Neither of them wanted to be punished.

"If you want to win,"

"you must fight with the resolve to kill me."

Orochimaru tied the bells around his waist.

"Begin!"

Nawaki and Mushi-hime vanished instantly, leaving only Hyuga Arin standing there casually, completely unhurried.

Orochimaru swept his gaze around.

Orochimaru kicked out, but his leg passed straight through Hyuga Arin's body.

"Pure taijutsu?" Orochimaru murmured.

His head suddenly twisted a full three hundred and sixty degrees, locking onto Hyuga Arin behind him.

"Arin-kun… you really are a genius."

Genius. Shameless bastard. Thick-skinned monster.

Hyuga Arin had heard it all before. He didn't react at all, his fingers striking rapidly toward Orochimaru's back, attempting to sever the chakra flow in his body.

But the point he struck was far softer than expected, and the chakra he injected had no effect whatsoever.

"My body isn't so easy to seal with tenketsu strikes," Orochimaru chuckled.

Soft Physique Modification.

"Is that so?" Hyuga Arin smiled faintly.

A phantom finger overlapped with his own.

"Boom!!"

A violent force erupted, blasting Orochimaru backward.

"So it's not an afterimage… another technique?"

Orochimaru flew back, surprise flashing across his face.

His eyeballs rolled toward the corners as Hyuga Arin suddenly appeared behind him again.

That Substitute Technique similar to Flying Thunder God… so it's real?

As Orochimaru flew backward, Hyuga Arin's body suddenly swelled.

His once well-fitted clothes exploded apart, revealing rock-like muscles.

On his back, the muscles interlocked into a grimacing demon face.

Demon Back.

At the same time, a phantom overlapped with Hyuga Arin's body.

Clone Technique.

"Eight Trigrams—Thirty-Six Palms!"

Hyuga Arin stepped in close, both palms striking out in a blur.

In the distance, Hyuga Arin bit down on the other end of the wire.

A massive stream of flames shot straight along it, igniting the two pythons and spreading toward Orochimaru.

Orochimaru used Body Flicker, disappearing instantly.

Reappearing elsewhere, the smile on Orochimaru's face grew even wider.

"It seems that if I don't take this seriously, I might really be defeated by you, Arin-kun."

"Testing ends here."

Hyuga Arin drew another kunai.

This was just a spar—he wasn't taking out the Dark Battle Blade.

If he did, he might actually kill the current Orochimaru.

"Then be careful, Arin-kun," Orochimaru said.

He tossed a shuriken and began forming seals at high speed.

"Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique!"

Several shuriken instantly multiplied into tens of thousands, sealing off every possible escape route—

including all areas marked by Hyuga Arin's thrown kunai.

Even his Substitute Technique was completely blocked.

"Rotation!"

Blue chakra erupted, forming a hemispherical barrier.

Every incoming shuriken was blasted away.

At that moment, Orochimaru rolled up his sleeve and slammed his palm into the ground.

Just as Hyuga Arin ended Rotation, a massive snake burst from the ground beneath him, swallowing him whole.

The giant snake crawled out of the hole—

Then blue flames ignited across its body.

"Oh my… what astonishing strength," Orochimaru chuckled, forming seals again.

"Boom!"

The blue flames incinerated the snake into ash.

Hyuga Arin flipped out, landing on the ground, his body wreathed in blue fire.

Behind him, the flames boiled violently.

Two enormous blue fire dragons let out thunderous roars.

"RROOO—!!"

"RROOO—!!"

"A new bloodline limit?" Orochimaru murmured.

"Blue flames… I've never seen anything like them."

Hyuga Arin had already given him far too many surprises.

It was as if there were endless treasures buried within him.

Orochimaru's seals finished.

Both hands slammed onto the ground.

"Earth Release · Earth Prison Dome!"

Layers of stone walls rose rapidly around Hyuga Arin, sealing him inside.

The two fire dragons, however, soared into the sky, evading the enclosure.

"This is a prison that absorbs chakra," Orochimaru said softly.

Earth Prison Dome was a sealing-type technique—those trapped inside would have their chakra continuously drained, and even the techniques they used would be absorbed and nullified.

"Is that so?"

Hyuga Arin appeared in the sky.

One of the fire dragons had vanished.

"吟!"

The roar of a fire dragon echoed from within the stone prison.

"Crossing space using chakra alone… that's really cheating," Orochimaru sighed, looking up.

High in the air, Hyuga Arin took a deep breath and spat downward.

"Great Fireball Technique!"

A massive fireball poured from his mouth, crashing downward like a falling sun.

"This is… Great Fireball?"

Orochimaru was shocked by its scale—this might be the largest Great Fireball Konoha had ever seen.

His figure vanished as he moved outside the fireball's range—

Yet the fireball changed direction midair, homing in on Orochimaru and slamming toward him.

"BOOM!!"
