Chapter 454 453: Tenseigan Awakening
Chapter 454 453: Tenseigan Awakening
Kuji clenched his fists lightly.
He focused on the chakra continuously surging through his body. Although the previous chakra had already been absorbed, this new wave felt different, stronger, as if it carried something far more terrifying within it.
Shigure, who was approaching, smiled faintly. "Don't die on me, Jiushi. I won't let any of the Ōtsutsuki get away."
As he spoke, he glanced toward Naruto and Minato, who had rushed over after hearing the news.
"Ready? I didn't expect we'd return to Konoha so soon."
Naruto, however, looked excited rather than concerned. "Shigure, thank you!"
He clearly thought Shigure had set out early just to help save Konoha.
Shigure blinked, slightly confused by the sudden gratitude. What exactly was this kid thanking him for?
Helping Konoha?
He wasn't doing this for Konoha.
Meanwhile, in Konoha, Kuji was being supported by Shigure's chakra.
His body suddenly erupted with power. The arm that had been broken moments ago regenerated instantly, and sharp bone spurs burst from his back, resembling Kimimaro's Shikotsumyaku, but taken to a far more extreme level.
His kekkei genkai was far beyond Kimimaro's.
The density and toughness of his bones alone surpassed Kimimaro by a wide margin, and now, enhanced by Shigure's chakra, Kuji had reached a level the Kaguya Clan had never achieved before.
Although the Ōtsutsuki in front of him possessed powerful bodies and chakra enhanced by the Rinnegan, they still could not completely withstand Kuji's bone attacks.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
Kuji moved in rapid flashes, striking again and again. In an instant, he overwhelmed the closest Ōtsutsuki, disrupting their movements and piercing straight through their arms, effectively disabling several of them.
"This guy… something's wrong. His power feels similar to ours."
"Those bones… even the black rods can't stop them."
"Damn it. If the higher-ups return and find out we let someone infiltrate here…"
More Ōtsutsuki quickly gathered.
At this moment, however, the clan's patriarch was not present.
Under Black Zetsu's guidance, he had already led a group of Ōtsutsuki toward Kumogakure.
Their goal was simple: take control of the village.
"If you want to collect all the tailed beasts, you can't rely on the Ōtsutsuki alone," Black Zetsu said calmly. "Otherwise, your losses will be severe."
"So instead, you control the other ninja villages… and let them destroy each other."
The one leading this operation was Shinji Ōtsutsuki.
He glanced at Black Zetsu. "The person from Kirigakure you mentioned… is he really that strong?"
Black Zetsu paused for a moment. "Stronger than you think. Among Hagoromo's descendants, he is the most dangerous."
"Even compared to Hagoromo himself, he may not be inferior."
Shinji frowned slightly. If that was true, then capturing all the tailed beasts would not be easy.
Above Kumogakure, the shinobi of the village quickly noticed the sudden presence in the sky.
Ever since Nagato's invasion, Kumogakure had become extremely vigilant about aerial threats.
"Lord Raikage! Someone is observing the village from above!"
The Fourth Raikage stood by the window, his gaze locking onto the small black figure in the sky.
"I see him."
There was no detectable chakra, no presence at all. This had to be one of the Ōtsutsuki who had attacked Konoha.
And he could fly… just like that Akatsuki member before.
Another invasion?
Before the Raikage could react further, a sudden gravitational force seized his body.
His expression changed instantly as his body was forcibly pulled forward. The window behind him shattered as he was dragged into the air.
In the blink of an eye, he was brought directly in front of Shinji.
The Fourth Raikage stared at him, shock flickering in his eyes. This being didn't look human at all. His skin, his hair, everything about him was unnatural.
"You are the Fourth Raikage," Shinji said calmly.
"From this moment on, you belong to the Ōtsutsuki."
The Raikage frowned, completely unable to understand the nonsense coming out of this man's mouth.
Submit?
Impossible.
If he could be subdued so easily, he wouldn't be worthy of the title of Raikage.
But Shinji didn't care about his thoughts.
In the next instant, he raised his hand. A green light shot forward and struck the Raikage's forehead.
The Raikage's eyes changed immediately.
The sharp, defiant gaze he once had began to fade, slowly turning dull and vacant.
It was as if nothing had happened.
"As simple as that?" Black Zetsu asked.
Shinji nodded calmly. "Don't underestimate the power of the Rinnegan."
"I didn't expect that, aside from the Rinnegan, there exists something as terrifying as the Tenseigan."
"It seems Ōtsutsuki Hamura was not inferior to Hagoromo after all."
Black Zetsu let out a quiet sigh, while Shinji smiled faintly.
"No. The ancestor may have been weaker than the Sage of Six Paths… but I am not."
"I have already surpassed him."
Black Zetsu merely smiled in response, saying nothing.
The truth was simple. Shinji had only awakened the Rinnegan because of Black Zetsu's influence. Even the awakening of the Tenseigan was, in part, due to that same external interference.
The Tenseigan was a power that should only manifest by gathering and evolving the Byakugan of the Ōtsutsuki clan. Yet, because of Kaguya's power lingering within him, it had pushed Shinji beyond Hamura's limits.
Now, he believed himself to have surpassed even the Sage of Six Paths.
"Enough," Black Zetsu said. "Let's move to the next village. The closest one is Iwagakure."
Shinji nodded. "Which direction?"
"Over there."
Without wasting another moment, Shinji turned and left.
After placing the Fourth Raikage under his control, he immediately headed toward Iwagakure.
Meanwhile, in Konoha…
In a remote area of the training grounds, several Ōtsutsuki had surrounded a female shinobi.
"There's a powerful presence nearby," one of them said.
"We need to finish this quickly."
Not far away, Jiushi was still locked in battle against multiple Ōtsutsuki. The situation was dangerous, but with Shigure's chakra sustaining him, his life was not in immediate danger.
However, the female shinobi being besieged by two Ōtsutsuki was in far worse condition.
She was already on the verge of death.
