Chapter 1036: The Void Revealed

Chapter 1036: The Void Revealed

Ethan burst through the gap that had been blown open. The instant he broke out of the encirclement, the suffocating pressure crushing his chest finally loosened.

He hovered higher up and glanced back at the battlefield below—still drowned in light and webbed energy—and for the first time, a clearer judgment formed in his mind about these lord-class existences of Elysion.

They were too strong.

And every single one of them had a defined post, a defined warfront.

This wasn’t a world made up of a few scattered powerhouses. It was a world with iron hierarchy—an organization so vast it was terrifying.

Ethan let out a slow breath and didn’t allow himself to linger on it.

If he couldn’t take down a lord-class existence head-on right now, then he’d switch targets.

He rose higher, his eyes turning to the enemy troops below as power began to spin up inside him at high speed. If he couldn’t kill Rohanix immediately, then he’d butcher Rohanix’s army first.

With that thought, Ethan didn’t hesitate anymore.

He spread his arms. Energy detonated outward from his body. White lightning ran wild along the Powered Combat Armor, then rapidly gathered and compressed—forming one razor-sharp Energy Disc after another.

The moment those discs took shape, their edges began to vibrate at extreme speed, cutting ring after ring of warped ripples into the surrounding space.

In the next instant, Ethan drove his hand down.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang—

Countless Energy Discs swept out at once, like a storm fully unleashed, smashing down into the densest part of the enemy formation.

Each disc carried high-speed rotational cutting force and energy compressed to the limit. The moment it landed in the crowd, it cleaved open the outer defenses first, then sliced deep into flesh and bone—before detonating completely at the point of contact.

Enemy troops were thrown back in大片.

Some didn’t even have time to scream before their bodies were cut clean in two. Some had only just lifted their weapons when an Energy Disc punched straight through their chests. Others tried to gather power to resist—only to be shredded by the second and third waves and blown into fragments.

The battlefield was shoved into a white-hot state almost instantly.

High above, Queen Seraphine and Rohanix kept colliding—light and ice-blue waves exploding alternately. Farther out, Phoenix Queen Ignara still had Khar’vathis pinned down.

Below them, both armies were fully engaged. Energy cannon fire, spell formations, and bodies falling in sheets turned the once-empty outskirts of the ruins into a battlefield completely out of control.

People were dying on both sides.

But the other side’s losses were clearly heavier.

Emerald Castle had come prepared. They’d fought all the way here without burning through their reserves in any truly catastrophic way. The fleet and the powerhouses were still sitting on deep, full stores of energy.

And because of that, the moment the fight became total, Emerald Castle erupted with ferocious suppression.

The fleet’s firepower pushed forward in layers. Small ships cut in and out. Sky Fortress units kept feeding heavy support from the rear. And Ethan himself was like a blade driven straight into the enemy’s heart—grinding deeper and deeper, tearing through their formation.

Rohanix’s expression finally changed.

While he defended against Queen Seraphine’s Light Force, he watched the fight below tilt faster and faster, shock thickening in his eyes.

He truly hadn’t expected that someone in this world could wield such pure Light Force—could release it to this extent.

This wasn’t just strength.

It was compatibility.

A horrifying level of compatibility.

He stared at Queen Seraphine, anger and alarm mixing on his face, and finally spoke.

"Wait. Your power is truly strong—and it matches our world extremely well. If you’re willing—"

Retreating as he spoke, forcing his aura down, he said quickly:

"I can introduce you to join us. And I’ll even make you a Vanguard Commander."

But Queen Seraphine didn’t hesitate for even a fraction of a second.

She didn’t care about those words at all.

More precisely—she didn’t have the slightest interest in hearing another sentence.

Light Force surged out of her again in full, and the entire sky brightened with it.

That sacred, pure power gathered rapidly before her palm. Layers of light stacked over light—first pulling into a long silhouette, then spreading into wings—until a gigantic phoenix of radiance took shape in midair.

The moment it formed, countless people still fighting in the distance unconsciously lifted their heads.

This wasn’t a simple energy construct.

When its wings spread, a huge stretch of sky was laid out in white-gold. All the chaotic currents and aftershocks around it were pressed down.

For a brief moment, it felt like this battlefield had been taken over by that luminous phoenix—so bright that even the strange waves released by the ice-blue gemstones had nowhere to hide.

The next second, Queen Seraphine pressed her hand down.

That enormous phoenix of light slammed straight down.

Terror flooded Rohanix’s eyes.

He clearly hadn’t expected Queen Seraphine to be this decisive—to leave him not even a sliver of room to negotiate.

At this point, he didn’t have time to say anything else. He could only pull every ounce of power around him back in.

The ice-blue gemstones trembled violently one by one. He forcibly drew the energy sealed inside them out, compressing and fusing it together with his own power until it finally condensed into a massive energy sphere—then he threw it straight at the incoming phoenix of light.

The moment the two forces collided high in the sky—

Thoom!

The sound was terrifyingly heavy, like the entire sky had been struck by a giant hammer.

Then a shockwave—violent to the extreme—detonated outward in every direction.

The light at the collision’s center flared to a blinding peak, then split apart, stretched and torn into countless chaotic streams. Space couldn’t withstand a head-on clash at this level. Huge rifts blossomed around the impact point, black cracks crossing and braiding as they spread farther and farther.

And what was even more eerie—

As those rifts were ripped open, vast amounts of void energy surged out.

It wasn’t messy. It carried an oppressive weight and a corrosive edge, pouring from deep inside the cracks in thick waves until it formed a clear, dark tide in midair. The moment it appeared, it began to interfere with the flow of every other power nearby.

Ethan—still carving through the enemy ranks in the distance—noticed almost instantly.

He lifted his head, eyes snapping to the split in the sky that Queen Seraphine and Rohanix had torn open, and his expression changed at once.

The might contained in that void energy was absurd.

And as that thought rose, another judgment followed right on its heels—

If they could gather all of it... maybe they really could use it as the primary fuel for the Sky Fortress.

Light flashed in Ethan’s eyes.

At first, the void energy spilling from the spatial rifts had only caught his attention. But once he truly sensed the heavy, frightening power packed inside it, the emotion in his chest refused to stay contained.

This wasn’t ordinary battlefield spillover, not chaotic energy that would disperse with a touch.

This was the kind of force that could support higher-level operation.

To Ethan right now, it felt like someone had dumped an entire cache of treasures right in front of him.

This world was offering him more surprises than he’d ever expected.

With that, Ethan couldn’t even be bothered to keep dealing with the enemy grunts below who were still barely hanging on.

He pivoted in midair and shot straight up, coming to a halt near the spatial rifts that still hadn’t closed.

Void energy continued to churn out in a steady stream. Dark, heavy tides rolled slowly through the air. Up close, even the energy patterns on the Powered Combat Armor were tinted faintly dim, as if stained by that darkness.
