The passive cultivation continued running in the background. He could feel it even as consciousness faded. Solar energy trickling in through the windows. Thermal energy from the air. Electromagnetic radiation from electronics scattered throughout the house. All being absorbed. Converted. Circulated.

His ring halo pulsing steadily around his heart. Growing slowly even as he slept.

Sleep came quickly. But it was different now.

His enhanced mind didn’t fully shut down. Parts of it kept working. Processing. Optimizing. His subconscious churning through problems he’d been considering. The Qi-synthesis organisms. Manufacturing strategies. Technology deployment schedules.

"How many designs?"

"Forty-seven distinct technologies. Plus approximately two hundred sub-components and supporting systems."

Orion raised his eyebrows. Forty-seven complete technology designs in three hours. Even with the upgraded Simulator and enhanced processing, that was impressive.

"The Tier 2 data you provided was... illuminating," Rene replied. "I’ve prioritized the biological equipment you requested for the next phase."

"Let’s start with the biological equipment. I need that soon."

"Pulling up designs now."

Orion sat at his desk. Laptop open. Rene’s designs displayed on the screen.

The biological laboratory equipment appeared first. Complete schematics. Material specifications. Operating parameters. Everything needed to manufacture and operate.
