Chapter 265 - 257: The Martial World is Just This Cruel
Chapter 265 - 257: The Martial World is Just This Cruel
Aurora shook her head. "This isn’t a good place for a breakthrough."
The moves in this technique were very similar to those of the Radiant Void Fist, with only minor adjustments to certain stances. Without looking closely, it was nearly impossible to tell the two apart.
Only those who had practiced it could tell that this new technique was far more powerful than the Radiant Void Fist and much smoother to cultivate.
With minimal stamina, she could achieve three to four times her previous punching power.
After practicing for only half an hour, she could already feel her current Martial Cultivation Realm loosening.
If she practiced a little longer, she might break through right here.
Aurora looked into Alvin Morgan’s eyes and said earnestly, "Morgan, you discovered this fist technique. You can practice it."
Alvin Morgan paused, then smiled nonchalantly. "Are you going to teach me, Aurora?"
"Mhm. With the first three levels of this technique, it might be possible to reach the level of a High Rank Martial Cultivator without even cultivating Power."
Beta Morgan was so shocked he nearly bit his tongue.
His eyes grew even wider than before, and his heart pounded in his chest.
Due to his limited aptitude for martial arts, Alvin had been unable to practice any Fist Technique other than the Basic Boxing Skill since childhood.
His Combat Power had been stuck at the Martial Artist level, making him a laughingstock among the Ancient Martial Families for years.
If an ordinary person could truly reach the level of a High Rank Martial Cultivator with this, then this Fist Technique would undoubtedly trigger a war even more brutal than the one a hundred years ago.
"Aurora... you’re not kidding, are you?"
Aurora suppressed the Power within her body and demonstrated the first three levels again. "It’s possible," she confirmed.
Alvin Morgan’s brow furrowed. Seemingly having the same thought as Beta Morgan, he shot him a cautious look. "Not a word of this gets out."
Beta Morgan nodded solemnly.

Just as they were about to leave the martial arts hall, they spotted several black cars from the Martial Arts Bureau at the entrance.
They drove away discreetly, careful not to attract any attention.
Along the way, they came across the bureau’s black cars five or six more times. They appeared to be investigating something.
"Senior Sister, you’re finally back! I missed you so much!"
The moment Leigh Miles saw Aurora, she leaped into the air and clung to her like a koala.
"Did you buy me a gift?"
"Mhm..."
"Where is it?"
"In the suitcase."
Leigh Miles immediately went to check the suitcase, only to find two ugly rocks and a tattered piece of sheepskin inside.
She immediately pouted. "What gift? Senior Sister, you tricked me."
Alvin Morgan glanced at the two rocks and said nonchalantly, "Those are jadeite rough stones."
"Really? Are they valuable?" Leigh Miles, ever the money-lover, turned to Aurora.
Beta Morgan wanted to know too. Of all the stones they’d acquired, only these two hadn’t been cut.
Aurora nodded. "They’re better than Ritter’s."
At the urging of Beta Morgan and Leigh Miles, Aurora grabbed her tools and began to cut the stones.
One revealed a high-quality ice-variety jade, while the other turned out to be a priceless glass-variety.
They shone so brilliantly that Beta Morgan didn’t even dare to touch them.
In the end, Aurora fashioned the two rough stones into several pieces of jewelry and a few Jade Tokens, giving one to each of them.
Beta Morgan was so excited he immediately put his piece away, grandly declaring he would save it as a betrothal gift for his future wife.
Benjamin Morgan sniped, "I guess I’ll be the one inheriting that, then."
Beta Morgan: "..."

Not long after returning to the country, Aurora went back to Sunstone.
Her latest genetic test results showed that her genes had undergone another change.
Ronan Warner was extremely interested and had urged her to return immediately.
Alvin Morgan didn’t go with her this time, having stayed behind in Kingsford to deal with the fallout from the incident in Masovia.
He only sent Beta Morgan to accompany them.
"Is Master still in seclusion?" Leigh Miles asked in surprise.
It had been almost three months since they had last left.
’The New Year is almost here, and Master still hasn’t come out?’
’Could something have gone wrong?’
Aurora put down her things and headed straight for the summit of Sunstone’s main peak, but the spot where Master Aerion usually rested was empty.
"Master—" Aurora shouted.
But the vast, empty space offered no echo.
Aurora pressed her lips together and called out again, "Morgan and I discovered the secret of the boxing manual!"
But still, the summit was silent.
She focused her senses for a moment before leaping off the peak of Sunstone.
When Ronan Warner saw Aurora return, he shook his head. "He has sealed his five senses. He’s on the summit of the Kaelan Mountains seeking a breakthrough. He dropped a realm when he saved Indie Lowell. The Lowell Family’s Martial King came around a while ago, acting restless and demanding to see someone. They fought. Your master managed to repel him, but the man must have realized something was wrong with his condition. It’s very likely he’ll bring men back to challenge for the Guardian Token."
Aurora’s fists clenched.
Ronan Warner said flatly, "The Martial World is this cruel. The weak are prey for the strong; power is king. All of you, follow me."
Ronan Warner led them into his Apothecary’s Hut. A small clay pot sat bubbling on a shabby little coal stove.
The air was thick with the heavy scent of medicine, mixed with an overwhelming fishy odor.
"Drink it," Ronan Warner said, gesturing to the small clay pot.
Leigh Miles immediately got a bowl and poured out the medicine.
The concoction smelled just like the last one.
Leigh Miles sat at the table to drink the medicine.
Beta Morgan, not knowing what was going on, looked at Leigh with a pained expression, as if she were his own little sister. He pulled a box of throat lozenges from his pocket.
Aurora’s expression didn’t change, as if she were already used to it. She downed the medicine in one go.
"Have a lozenge—"
Before he could finish, Aurora’s eyes fluttered shut and she slumped onto the table.
"Aurora!" Beta Morgan cried out, rushing forward. He whirled around to look at Ronan Warner, but both he and Leigh Miles looked completely unfazed.
"Kid, carry her in here."

With the grinding of stone on stone, a hidden door appeared in one of the Apothecary’s Hut’s walls.
Beta Morgan stood stunned for a long moment before reacting. He cautiously lifted Aurora into his arms.
’Good thing the boss isn’t here,’ he thought. ’Given how possessive he is, I’d probably be sentenced to hard labor in the mines for this.’
The hidden door opened into a small laboratory filled with modern instruments, all connected to a central computer.
"Apothecary Warner, how do you have a computer?" Leigh Miles exclaimed.
’There’s no signal on Sunstone. How can he even use it?’
Ronan Warner shot her a glare. "Stop making such a racket! Where are your manners?"
"But there’s no signal here," Leigh Miles mumbled, pulling out her phone to check. It displayed "No Service."
Ronan Warner poked her on the head, then switched on a special signal receiver nearby.
In an instant, Leigh Miles’s phone showed a full set of signal bars.
Leigh Miles started to exclaim again, but another poke from Ronan Warner’s finger made her clamp her hands over her head and fall silent.
"Put Aurora on the bed. Leigh, come with me to prepare the medicine."
Ronan Warner turned on the computer and printed out a formulary.
Beta Morgan quickly glanced at the computer screen. It displayed the data on the S Sedative and the laboratory that his boss had sent over a while ago.
’I can’t believe he’s already figured so much out.’
’As expected of the Sect Leader of the Verdant School.’
"I’ve read the data you sent," Ronan Warner began. "This T Cell Liquid stimulates the activation rate of the ancestral genes in Aurora’s body, but the S Sedative is able to suppress the Beast Gene. That’s why Aurora is exhibiting atavistic traits without losing control."
Beta Morgan’s face lit up with joy, but Ronan Warner went on.
"Don’t celebrate too soon. The body develops a tolerance to the substances in the S Sedative; its effects will diminish with each use. The madwoman you brought back was only a level-two researcher. She can’t possibly know everything about Professor Young’s work. We need to find the other two volumes of the Young Family Notes as soon as possible."
Beta Morgan’s expression tightened.
’According to our intel, the second volume of the Young Family Notes is likely in the hands of the Young Family themselves...’
