Chapter 662 - 573: You’re the Coward
Cole O’Connell’s muscular arm lifted her up from behind, his arrogant demeanor resembling a beast devouring its prey, entwining her lips and tongue in an incessant dance.Yulia O’Connell’s tongue had already gone numb from his intense kisses, her lips swollen, never having experienced such a deep kiss, mimicking a rhythm that could make one’s heart race and cheeks blush.
Clearly, the woman beneath him was trembling fiercely, unaware of how many marks her little hands had left on his body.
"Yulia O’Connell, you’re such a coward," Cole O’Connell taunted, releasing her and looking at her breathless, bashful expression. He turned on his heels, exuding fiery energy, and headed upstairs.
Ever since childhood, she had always been the little enchantress who came to captivate his soul.
Yulia O’Connell blinked her dazed eyes open, wiped the corner of her lips clean, and stared at the figure slowly ascending the stairs, tightly closing her legs.
...
Hotel.
"Melody, drink some more broth. When I arrived, your grandfather specifically instructed me to watch you finish this entire bowl," Mrs. Quinn said joyfully, eyeing her belly. "It’s almost over two months, isn’t it? The Quinn Family lacks nothing, and you don’t need to earn money. We women, the first thing to do is to nourish the baby, you hear?"
Melody Thorne exchanged glances with the man next to her, feeling stuffed since Mrs. Quinn’s arrival, and she couldn’t drink more than half of the soup.
"Alright, let’s wait a bit before drinking more," Jared Quinn chimed in, taking the soup from her hands.
"What do you know, Melody is not alone now. What if it’s another son? How can we not make sure they’re plump and healthy?" Mrs. Quinn reproachfully glanced at her son, "Make sure you take good care of Melody, do you understand?"
"Mm," Jared Quinn responded, truly wanting to stop all his work to accompany Melody Thorne.
But the company had been extremely busy lately.
"Cousin, sister-in-law," Wendy Lynch entered from outside the hotel. "Isn’t it inconvenient for you to stay in a hotel, sister-in-law? Let’s go home together later."
Melody Thorne looked up at Wendy Lynch, recalling Yulia O’Connell’s words, but Wendy’s eyes were clear, not the type to harbor any thoughts about Jared Quinn.
"Wendy is right, there’s no need to fixate on the hotel, let’s go home later."
Melody Thorne lowered her head, giving Jared Quinn another pointed look.
"It’s okay, if she wants to stay at the hotel, she can. I’m here with her, nothing will happen," Jared Quinn stood by Melody Thorne, deflecting the suggestion.
"Ha," Mrs. Quinn chuckled at their harmonious banter. "So, it seems having a wife is all that matters now, isn’t it? Whatever mom says doesn’t matter, right? Fine, you two handle your own affairs as long as you don’t harm my little grandchild."
"It might not be a grandson; it could very well be a daughter," Jared Quinn spoke, gazing at Melody Thorne with an unyielding softness. "I like daughters."
Preferably one like Melody Thorne.
"I like daughters too," Melody Thorne quickly agreed.
They already had Timmy as a son; it would be ideal if this one is a daughter, then she’d be a true-life winner.
"It’s your child, and it’s your decision," Mrs. Quinn stood up. "I’ve delivered the soup, so I’ll be heading back now."
"I’ll see you out," Wendy Lynch offered attentively.
"Alright."
Once out of the room, Mrs. Quinn’s gaze fell on Wendy Lynch. "Wendy, you’re not getting any younger. It’s time you found a boyfriend and got married."
