When he went in to put out the fire, he saw a black scorched object in a frying pan on the stove.

He couldn’t tell exactly what it was.

Edward Cooper looked him up and down, and after making sure he was really okay, he breathed a sigh of relief.

"As long as you’re fine." He patted his chest, saying that he was terrified just now, but now the fire was out and everyone was safe.

"How did the kitchen catch fire?" Edward glanced at the still-smoky kitchen and asked with a frown.
