Chapter 636 - 634: The Mechanism Is Activated

Zhang Yufei heard the man call Chen Tianlong’s name, and immediately frowned. Her firm grip loosened once again. After all, he was helping them, yet treating him this way seemed rather improper.

"Did you just say Chen Tianlong? Was it really him who sent you?" Zhang Yufei was still a bit skeptical; this was a critical moment, and any mistakes could lead to catastrophe.

"Yes, young lady, why would I lie to you? I’ve been thinking about escaping Earth Dragon day in and day out, just so I could go back to see my wife and kids. I’ve been captured for almost ten years, unable to leave, filled with hatred for Earth Dragon."

The man was getting anxious too; if they didn’t quickly unveil the police trap, evidence might be destroyed, trapping everyone inside.

"Okay, do you know how to open the secret passage entrance?" Zhang Yufei had just observed and it seemed there was only a stone door, with no visible opening mechanism.

"Well... I don’t know either." The man scratched his head and responded with a bitter smile, "But I did hear the Fifth Leader mention there’s a hidden mechanism."

"A hidden mechanism?"

Zhang Yufei was taken aback but quickly reacted and began walking toward the entrance. Being a police officer, she had seen her fair share of mechanisms; if it was an older mechanism, it would likely be a brick or perhaps a vase.

However, after observing for a while, Zhang Yufei didn’t find any vases or noteworthy bricks on the wall.

"Where exactly is the mechanism?"

Zhang Yufei grew anxious. The surrounding area seemed nothing more than smooth cave walls, making it difficult to find anything. After searching for a bit, she directed her gaze at the man.

She quickly dashed across and grabbed the man’s neck, pressing him forcefully against the cave wall.

"Boom!"

At that instant, the stone door suddenly opened, revealing that Zhang Yufei’s violent act had directly triggered the mechanism on the cave wall.

Previously, Zhang Yufei had merely given a gentle push, which had no effect, but with the man’s forced push against the wall, the door opened.

As they were feeling extremely frustrated, the door suddenly groaned open. Zhao Bing’s eyes widened with disbelief. Just as he was about to lead everyone out, a familiar figure jumped out from the side.

"Director Zhao... it’s me..."

Zhang Yufei was elated. She initially wanted to rush over and hug Zhao Bing to express her feelings, but upon seeing the dozens of people around, she quickly composed herself and said, "I finally found you all."

"Haha, so it’s Xiaoling. This is great, we’ve finally reunited, and you’re safe."

Zhao Bing felt relieved, his main mission being to rescue Zhang Yufei and Chen Tianlong. With Zhang Yufei here, he was assured of their safety.

Behind him were fifty special forces along with their two skilled fighters. Surely, no one could snatch them away now.

"Oh? Where’s Chen Tianlong? Why isn’t he here?" Zhao Bing suddenly realized something was off; although someone was outside, it was evidently not Chen Tianlong, prompting him to ask urgently.

"Oh, Chen Tianlong, huh? Chen Tianlong... he’s still outside, fighting against that expert. We need to hurry and help; I’m here to gather reinforcements, he won’t last much longer," Zhang Yufei suddenly recalled their mission and quickly explained.

Director Qu, without any delay following confirmation, dialed the phone number of platoon leader Huang Bin and informed him, directing them to search the back mountain immediately.

Although he didn’t know the exact location, he knew it was a secret passage leading to the back mountain.

"Yes, Director, we’ll head over right away." After receiving the orders, Huang Bin swiftly organized his team and began leading them towards the back mountain.
