Chapter 627 - 625: Relocating the Warehouse

Chapter 627 - 625: Relocating the Warehouse

Xue Kong hurriedly led a large group of people towards the warehouse, thinking as he walked that if the police really discovered them later, they would have no choice but to destroy all the goods to save the Earth Dragon.

Although the Earth Dragon Organization was only a small branch of theirs, it was a significant source of income, and it would be a pity if it was destroyed like this; the gang leader would definitely blame them.

"Re-report, report!"

Suddenly a gatekeeper stumbled over, gasping for breath, and said, "A large number of police officers have already rushed in; we couldn’t stop them."

"What?" Xue Kong was taken aback, realizing the situation wasn’t simple. The female officer had just disappeared, and then the police arrived.

That meant the warehouse had been discovered; otherwise, they wouldn’t be so brazen to rush in. Xue Kong knew the Earth Dragon’s influence had backing, and without solid evidence, the police wouldn’t dare act rashly.

So now, since they dared to rush in, it meant they had found evidence or leverage. The only logical conclusion was the warehouse had been exposed.

"Listen to my orders: we split into two groups; one part goes to the warehouse to transfer the goods, while the other informs the factory to prepare for cover-up. If I’m not mistaken, both our factory and warehouse have been exposed."

When Xue Kong said this, although his voice was urgent, he didn’t show signs of extreme nervousness.

"Understood, Master Xue."

Hu Fei was the boss here, and of course, the orders were his to follow. He turned to Peng Wanli and said, "Wanli, you’re responsible for the factory’s cover-up. Damn it, I don’t believe these people can find anything wrong."

"Yes, brother." Upon hearing this, Peng Wanli immediately took a few men with him, heading towards the factory.

"The rest of you, come with me to the warehouse; we need to move the goods quickly. We don’t have much time, once those cops arrive, we’re doomed."

Hu Fei outlined the severity of the situation to rouse everyone present to action. Not only would they suffer, but everyone in the Earth Dragon would be in trouble; this battle was a do-or-die with no turning back.

"Yes, boss," everyone responded in unison.

Xue Kong pondered for a moment, not overly worried. Firstly, he was confident in his ability to escape, but he was reluctant to see the Earth Dragon destroyed.

However, it wasn’t the end yet; there was still a chance to salvage the situation. At worst, destroy the batch of goods, and if the police can’t find evidence, the Earth Dragon might still have a glimmer of hope.

"Hu Fei, isn’t there a river near the warehouse?"

Xue Kong was always attentive to detail. He had prepared for the worst; to save the Earth Dragon, they might have to resort to drastic measures. If the police really found out about the warehouse and stormed in, they’d have to throw all the goods into the river; otherwise, the Earth Dragon would be finished.

"Yes, yes, the warehouse is only two hundred meters from the river. Master Xue, do you mean...?" Hu Fei seemed to have caught onto something but wasn’t entirely sure.

Xue Kong didn’t answer, instead quickening his pace towards the warehouse. This move was something he’d only resort to in dire circumstances. So, when Hu Fei asked, he didn’t answer; he’d give an emergency order when necessary.

The two teams started their operations separately, while Xue Kong led one group towards the warehouse. Meanwhile, Chen Tianlong and Zhang Yufei had already gotten there ahead of them and were hiding in the bushes, observing the cave’s activity.

Elsewhere, Zhao Bing and Director Qu of the L Town SWAT team had already led over two hundred SWAT officers to storm the Earth Dragon, with police cars driving directly into its premises.

Looking at the broad roads, Director Qu and Zhao Bing were a bit surprised. From the outside, the Earth Dragon looked like a rustic area, nestled in the mountains, but once inside, they realized how developed it was. The traffic was well connected, and the garden designs were quite grand, with pavilions, towers, small bridges, and flowing water, creating a peaceful scene like a landscape painting.

"Everyone, hurry up. Our people are waiting inside to connect with us. Later, we’ll focus on two areas for the raid: one is their factory, and the other is their warehouse," Zhao Bing instructed.

The factory was easy to find with Li Jun there, but it was said the warehouse had been moved. They’ll rely on Zhang Yufei and Chen Tianlong to lead the way.

But either way, if the factory is found, it could at least serve as a motive for this operation.

However, they need to get there before the goods are hidden; otherwise, by the time they enter, everything could be well concealed, and there’d be no evidence to catch.

A squad of fifty SWAT officers, led by Li Jun, quickly entered the cave and then the factory. But at the cave entrance, Zhao Bing sensed danger.

No wonder, as Peng Wanli was just instructing on handling the goods on the production line when he heard urgent footsteps outside, making it clear the police were already there.

"Fourth brother, it’s bad, lots of police outside, what do we do?"

Although Peng Wanli was quite capable, Wang Tao slightly outranked him, and in such a critical moment, he didn’t dare act recklessly. Thus, he consulted Wang Tao beside him.

"Fifth brother, regardless, we must hold the cave entrance. If they charge in while we’re still dealing with the goods, we’ll leave evidence behind."

Wang Tao watched as the staff on the production line busied themselves, feeling a wave of anxiety. He didn’t know how long they could hold out, as the police outside weren’t just one or two people but fully armed Special Forces.

Although both Peng Wanli and Wang Tao were spiritual practitioners, against guns and ammunition, escaping was possible, but defeating them was impossible.

"Quick, quick, quick, everyone move! The police are already at the cave entrance."

Wang Tao kept instructing while watching the cave entrance, knowing they were at the edge of danger. If the police broke through, they’d be doomed.

"People inside, I know this is a factory for producing goods. If you surrender voluntarily, the police will be lenient. If you assist these drug traffickers, knowingly breaking the law, the consequences will be severe."

Zhao Bing was not scaring them; some factory employees were forced to work there. Even if caught, they’d only serve two to three years in prison, but if they resisted knowing it was wrong, it wouldn’t be that simple.

Hearing Zhao Bing’s voice through a loudspeaker, many stopped what they were doing, with only a few still frantically moving things.

"What are you doing, standing there? Once the police get in, we’re all dead," Wang Tao glared and threatened when he noticed the unease.

"This is your only chance; have you thought it through? Will you continue to serve them or come with us? The choice is yours. A misstep leads to repeated mistakes; you have one minute to decide. Either open the door and let us in or wait for us to break it down and catch you. But let me tell you, these two outcomes are entirely different."

Zhao Bing understood there were many inside who were forced into this, and now was their best chance to choose.

Good or evil, it boils down to a single thought.

Sure enough, as soon as Zhao Bing finished speaking, a dozen people dropped what they were doing and prepared to run towards the cave entrance.

At this moment, a faint smile appeared at the corner of Wang Tao’s mouth, and moments later, he stood before everyone. Wang Tao, a master of the Yellow Dao’s four-star level, was like a god to ordinary people.
