Chapter 812: The Instructor and His Sister-in-Law
Chapter 812: The Instructor and His Sister-in-Law
"Fujoshi bro, don’t run away, I still want to ask you about the taste of cucumbers!" Biyao watched Fu Huixia retreating as if fleeing, giggling incessantly.Fu Huixia heard this and quickened her pace, eager to avoid this annoying person.
"How boring, surrendering so quickly, no worries, I’ll find you later when I have time to hang out." Biyao felt very proud, concluding her verbal sparring match with Fu Huixia with a complete victory.
"Look, my nickname as the ’King of Nicknames’ just got another one, from now on, when I see Fu Huixia, I’ll call her Fujoshi bro. I really have a chance to showcase my talents wherever I go." Biyao self-satisfiedly congratulated herself.
Han Bihong smiled helplessly and said, "We aren’t here for fun, we’re here to visit our benefactor."
"Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten the main purpose." Biyao stuck out her tongue and then shouted, "Let’s go find brother-in-law."
Soon, Biyao and the others found Ye Fan.
At this moment, Ye Fan was guiding the trainees on the side, assisting with integrating their enhanced strength and coordination between body and attacks. When the sudden intruders appeared, everyone was stunned; the base was a restricted area, and entry without permission was forbidden. After the Dai Zhanpeng incident, everyone’s nerves were exceptionally sensitive. Looking at the people flooding in, they were truly curious, puzzled by who could come so brazenly, and why the guards allowed them entry.
"That demon, moving so fast, found her way here?" Zhang Lu looked at Biyao with a wry smile. When Biyao asked her about the base location, she knew Biyao would definitely come—just didn’t expect it so soon.
Zhang Lu, Shen Tingting, and Qian Weiguo appeared calm, but others couldn’t maintain such composure.
They all knew the instructor’s fiancée was the president of Chu Group. When Ye Fan stated this news, the trainees scoured every channel to collect information about the instructor’s fiancée.
"Is this lady the instructor’s fiancée or the instructor’s celebrity sister-in-law, the national goddess?" Everyone was puzzled.
"Brother-in-law!" Biyao cheered, then darted towards Ye Fan.
With ’brother-in-law’ out, everyone instantly recognized Biyao’s identity.
"So she’s the instructor’s sister-in-law. It’s said that the national goddess still has a child’s heart, quirky and eccentric, seeing her in person really confirms it, active and full of life, as quick as a rabbit."
"But why is the instructor’s sister-in-law here in the base? Even with privileges, even knowing the instructor’s poisoning issue, shouldn’t the president fiancée come personally instead of the sister-in-law?"
"Is the sister-in-law meddling in affairs that are none of her concern?"
"Could it be that there’s something going on between the instructor and the sister-in-law?"
While trainees gossiped, their eyes stayed on Biyao, scrutinizing her.
"My idol, wishing to ask for a photo and have an autograph! But rushing over in front of everyone would be too embarrassing, better wait for a chance when things settle down, and get the autograph and photo done." Amongst the trainees, some held Biyao in reverence—they were her fans. They maintained some rationality, knowing that publicly being star-struck wasn’t respectable, so they planned to find another way.
"What are you doing here?" Ye Fan asked, slightly exasperated, looking at Biyao standing before him.
"I heard you were poisoned, so I’m here on behalf of my sister to check on you." Biyao said quietly.
"Mengyao isn’t aware, is she? You’re causing trouble again—didn’t I say there’s nothing wrong with me? Seems you’re bored." Ye Fan replied.
"Of course my sister knows." Biyao answered confidently, fearing her brother-in-law’s reproach.
"Lies without batting an eye—you’re something else." Ye Fan understood Biyao’s little scheme.
"Hehe." Biyao laughed, saying offhandedly, "Once I get back, my sister will know."
"Oh, you." Ye Fan felt quite helpless.
Biyao quickly added, "Brother-in-law, you wouldn’t want to send me away, right?"
"Since you’re here, stay till the afternoon before heading back." Ye Fan softly said.
"Yeah, brother-in-law is still the best." Biyao cheered.
At this time, Zhang Lu approached and smiled, saying, "Come on, big star, I’ll give you a tour of the base; Ye Fan has duties to complete, so let’s not disturb him."
"Alright, I’ve got something important for you to help with too." Biyao replied earnestly.
"Something important? You actually have serious business?" Zhang Lu laughed incredulously.
"Don’t underestimate me; I’ve got both career and dreams!" Biyao pouted.
"Alright then, what’s your important business?" Zhang Lu was slightly curious, speaking while walking away with Biyao. Trainees knew Ye Fan and Zhang Lu had a good relationship; they weren’t curious about Zhang Lu and Biyao’s familiarity.
"Due to theatrical needs, I need to rent some military equipment. This matter is best settled by you." Biyao stated the serious business.
"That’s it? Easy, just a matter of speaking." Zhang Lu replied happily.
"By the way, do you know where Fujoshi bro is?" Biyao asked.
"Who is that? Do I know them?" Zhang Lu was puzzled.
"It’s Fu Huixia." Biyao replied as if it were obvious.
"..." Zhang Lu was extremely surprised, nearly bit her tongue, laughing with tears, "With that mouth of yours, never idle, saw Fu Huixia just now, first time meeting her, and so quickly, you gave her a nickname, you’re really something."
"Giggling, I just said something casually, and she admitted that her fridge had cucumbers—who else could be Fujoshi but her? Calling her Fujoshi bro isn’t strange at all. Besides, she lives under the same roof with my brother-in-law—I must familiarize myself with her. Even if she doesn’t know me, I must get to know her." Biyao justified confidently.
"Fu Huixia doesn’t cook, so the cucumbers..." Zhang Lu dared not contemplate further, her expression became peculiar.
The two went to find Fu Huixia.
Meanwhile with Ye Fan, seeing Han Bihong’s group of five, he had a sudden idea, waving them over.
"Benefactor." Han Bihong’s group of five rushed to Ye Fan’s side.
"Teach these folks a lesson." Ye Fan instructed, letting the group of five guide the trainees, taking a chance to dampen the trainees’ spirits after their skill enhancement, which would make the forthcoming training proceed smoothly.
"Okay." The group of five agreed.
Ye Fan looked at the trainees, saying, "I’ll give you a few challenge targets, show all your tactics, defeat them—remember, it’s all of you against those five."
The trainees displayed odd expressions, completely underestimating Han Bihong’s group of five.
