Chapter 1161: New Strategies, New Killing Intent
The Sky Net elders discussed the Blood Wolf Base, negotiating ways to deal with Fire Phoenix and the Shadow Guard."The immediate priority is to eliminate Fire Phoenix and the Shadow Guard. Although the upheaval at the Blood Wolf Base caught us off guard, lacking sufficient intelligence led to the current losses. However, to avenge the fallen Hunting Team and to eradicate the strongest trump card of the God Organization, we must use powerful ultimate moves. As long as we’re able to destroy Fire Phoenix and the others, this major threat will cease to exist, and the necessary ultimate move must be activated in advance," the Fourteenth Elder said.
"After this upheaval, we should no longer underestimate the God Organization. When launching an attack, we must have a clear understanding of the enemy’s situation to minimize danger. We can no longer act blindly and recklessly," the Seventh Elder said.
This attack on the Blood Wolf Base was fundamentally due to the carelessness of the Hunting Team, who did not fully understand the situation inside the Blood Wolf Base. This carelessness led to significant casualties, indicating the team had become arrogant. The joy of breaking through four bases filled their hearts, prompting a rushed attack on Blood Wolf Base, giving Fire Phoenix the chance to retaliate.
"Arrogant troops are bound to lose; this is a lesson we must heed. While ensuring we destroy the enemy to the greatest extent, we must also protect ourselves," the Second Elder said earnestly.
"Given the current situation, with the appearance of Fire Phoenix and the Shadow Guard, it’s time to deploy the Ghost Team. Eliminating Fire Phoenix and the Shadow Guard will remove a major trump card of the God Organization, making it easier to deal with Deceitful Fox in the future," the First Elder stated, ready to dispatch the Ghost Team, believing it to be necessary at this point.
"Who will lead the Ghost Team on this mission?" the Second Elder inquired.
"An assured destruction of the enemy and the ability to enhance Sky Net’s supreme prestige—such important matters have all the elders wanting to take part, I believe. However, in my view, the Third Elder is the most suitable candidate. The Third Elder has continuously monitored God Organization’s intelligence and is the most knowledgeable about them. Moreover, the Third Elder has contributed greatly to the establishment and unity of the Ghost Team, enabling seamless cooperation," the Seventh Elder objectively stated.
The Seventh Elder’s proposal received unanimous approval from the elders. Although they wished to interact more with the Ghost Team to enhance their own standing, having loyal individuals within the team would be even more beneficial.
Of course, this requires interacting with members of the Ghost Team to potentially establish some connections.
Nonetheless, the Third Elder was indeed the most suitable candidate, and the elders hesitated to argue over it.
"Third Elder, what do you think?" the First Elder asked, looking at the Third Elder.
"Since you all trust me so much, I can hardly decline," the Third Elder readily agreed.
"In that case, prepare immediately to depart for the frontlines, where your presence is needed," the Second Elder said with a smile.
"There is an important piece of information, but I’m unsure if it’s appropriate to share," the Third Elder said.
"Speak freely, there’s no need to beat around the bush with us," the Seventh Elder replied candidly.
"Here’s the situation: according to an internal leak within Sky Net, the God Organization is now in a tripartite confrontation. Fire Phoenix and Butcher are opposing Deceitful Fox everywhere for power. The ease with which we conquered the four bases was due to Fire Phoenix and Butcher withdrawing their forces, leaving only Deceitful Fox’s men to resist. Hence, we captured the four bases effortlessly," the Third Elder revealed this critical information.
"Is that so?"
"This is tremendous news for us!"
"Had we known this earlier, we could have devised a detailed plan."
"Is this true?"
The elders voiced their emotions.
"I’ve confirmed it, it’s genuine and not fabricated," the Third Elder asserted seriously.
"Explain the situation in detail," the First and Second Elders said, eyes shining with joy.
"The Blood Wolf Base is Fire Phoenix’s main headquarters. Since opposing Deceitful Fox, it has been developed as a stronghold. Loyal followers of Fire Phoenix operate within the base, particularly the Shadow Guard. From this perspective, the downfall of the three major Hunting Teams was no challenge for Fire Phoenix. I even suspect that Fire Phoenix’s destruction of the three teams was only a warning to us. The power at Blood Wolf Base is even greater than we realized. If Fire Phoenix wanted to destroy all Hunting Teams entering the base, it could be done. But targeting the most powerful three suggests a hidden agenda, perhaps a reluctance to be our enemy. Yet if we truly challenge Blood Wolf Base, Fire Phoenix will fight to the death."
The Third Elder conveyed the intelligence and speculations that had been gathered.
"So, Blood Wolf Base is Fire Phoenix’s headquarters; no wonder the counterattack was so fierce."
"Indeed, Deceitful Fox and Fire Phoenix with Butcher have long been at odds. This is a rare and excellent opportunity for us."
"If Deceitful Fox, Fire Phoenix, and Butcher were united, eradicating them would be costly. But now, defeating them individually is much easier and simpler."
"If we had known this sooner, we wouldn’t have attacked Blood Wolf Base but sought another opportunity," the elders reflected.
"With new developments, we have ample reason to revise our strategy against the enemy," the First Elder suggested.
"Indeed, I believe Deceitful Fox is now the weakest faction. Even if not the weakest, it should be the first enemy to eliminate. Once Deceitful Fox falls, the flag of the God Organization will topple, leaving Fire Phoenix and Butcher as minor nuisances. From any standpoint, eliminating Deceitful Fox is urgent," the Seventh Elder argued convincingly.
"I agree with the Seventh Elder."
"Removing Deceitful Fox means removing the leader of the God Organization. Next, we’d have Fire Phoenix and Butcher to deal with, both wielding significant power, but they lack the prestige of Deceitful Fox."
The elders concurred with the Seventh Elder’s proposal.
"But Deceitful Fox’s whereabouts are unknown. How can we effectively eliminate Deceitful Fox?" the First Elder asked, turning to the Third Elder.
"I believe Fire Phoenix knows Deceitful Fox’s whereabouts. I will meet with Mr. Ye first, then negotiate with Fire Phoenix. If Fire Phoenix is wise and tells us where Deceitful Fox is, I can promise not to oppose Fire Phoenix in the future. If Fire Phoenix does not cooperate, I will work with the Terminator to annihilate the Blood Wolf Base," the Third Elder proposed.
"A win-win strategy, let’s proceed with that," agreed the elders with the Third Elder’s plan.
The Third Elder departed, filled with determination to eliminate the enemy.
