My Mother is the Villain

Chapter 37: Heavenly Woman

Chapter 37: Heavenly Woman

"This kind of matter shouldn’t be said or discussed, because the opportunity you gave me also makes me feel like you’re discarding me," Alexandra replied.

Victor did not expect such an answer from her.

Would she be hurt if he broke off this arranged engagement?

"As a Heavenly Woman, are you different from other women?"

"No two living beings are the same. You should clarify your question."

"I mean, you like men, right? And you have desires, right? This might be rude, but you seem... lacking in emotion."

"I simply keep myself calm. Of course, I will answer your question. I am a normal, healthy woman."

"Seems like I worried too much... But I do want a genuine relationship with you."

"So you thought this would be an emotionless relationship where you would just have a doll as a partner? Indeed, how my emotions develop will depend on you."

"Then how do you feel right now, after seeing me? I mean my appearance. Do you like it? Any relationship needs to start with mutual attraction. Personally, I really like your appearance."

"I don’t think I will answer that. But you should be confident in your looks. Even Lily is captivated."

Lily: "..."

"I’ll take that as you being satisfied with my appearance. As for my personality..."

"You can rest assured. I won’t interfere if you do evil, but I won’t help either. I will only assist you in good matters."

"That’s fine. It’s really nice to hear that from you. Now I feel more confident being your partner. By the way, I haven’t finished exploring the academy yet. Would you accompany me?"

"Yes..." Alexandra nodded lightly and put her veil back on, covering her face.

She then stood up.

Victor quickly stood when he saw that.

Then, he extended his hand toward her.

The woman paused for a moment before accepting it.

It could only be described as incredibly soft. Even softer than soft—like her flesh was made of cotton and her bones of rubber.

And of course, it was warm.

Her pink eyes looked into Victor’s.

Who knew what she was thinking.

She clearly felt something, yet hid it perfectly.

Lily froze with her mouth slightly open when she saw them holding hands.

Looking at Victor’s appearance, she couldn’t help but admit that this man truly suited her miss.

Victor stepped toward the door, and the woman followed beside him.

Who could protest now after seeing this?

Anyone who disagreed could only swallow their words.

When they arrived outside, Victor saw even more people, including Lancelot, whose eyes widened when he saw Victor holding Alexandra’s hand.

Evan, upon seeing this, smiled strangely.

As for the Russell Clan members seeing Alexandra for the first time, they were captivated by her graceful aura.

"You should tell your people not to follow. I’m not used to having many attendants," Alexandra said.

Hearing that, Victor nodded with a faint smile.

He gave a subtle signal to Evan and Alisa.

Both immediately understood and left.

Victor glanced at Lancelot again, who seemed too intimidated to say anything.

At the academy, it was common for students to walk around in pairs, holding hands.

Victor and Alexandra’s relationship was an arranged engagement. But it seemed Alexandra had accepted it well.

Naturally, Lancelot couldn’t say what he had said to Bella—that he felt aroused by Victor.

"There are many places in this academy. You probably won’t be able to visit everything. Is there anywhere that interests you?" Alexandra asked.

"I think anywhere is fine. It’s always interesting as long as you’re with me," Victor replied, unable to resist teasing.

Alexandra glanced at him, seemingly unable to respond.

But from the slight movement of her ears, Victor felt she had pressed her lips together.

Without teasing, how else could he stir her emotions?

Victor walked forward, and Alexandra followed.

In the end, she simply matched his pace as he wandered wherever caught his interest.

There were many branching paths and numerous open classrooms.

As they passed by, even the teachers were stunned.

Then Victor saw a massive ten-story library.

The building resembled a tower.

He could see many students on the first to third floors, with fewer above.

"This library contains the legacies of alumni," Alexandra said.

"What about the Heavenly Library?" Victor asked.

"It’s on the 10th floor, for those who possess the key. High-Level teachers, even the Headmaster, cannot enter without one. The rules apply to them as well."

Alexandra gave Victor a meaningful look after saying that.

"Why?" Victor asked.

"Don’t you want to enter now? Don’t you have the key?"

"No need to rush. I’m not ready to part with you yet."

"... "

Victor continued walking and soon saw an open hall.

The word History was displayed above it, and inside were spiritual screens showing various videos.

"What is this?" Victor asked.

"Records of many events," Alexandra answered.

"By watching battles between powerful cultivators, for example, we can gain insight. But here, everything is played randomly. If you pay, you can enter a room and choose what you want to watch. However, it costs contribution points."

"Contribution points?" Victor was confused.

"You obtain them by contributing to the academy—not by completing missions or offering treasures. The way to contribute is by helping other students with their cultivation."

"Oh... that sounds difficult for me to obtain." Victor knew this wasn’t his strong suit.

"You can use mine." Alexandra gave an unexpected answer, and a green jade appeared in her hand.

It emitted a glow displaying a number.

(164,000!)

That was an enormous amount. If it were Spiritual Stones, it would already be a huge fortune.

"You don’t mind sharing?" Victor asked.

"I will help you as long as it’s not for evil purposes."

"I see..." Victor smiled faintly.

He then noticed a hill behind the hall, with stairs leading upward.

From the top, it seemed one could view the entire city.

He walked toward it, climbing the steps with Alexandra.

"In this short time, how do you feel? Are you happy? Are you enjoying this?" Victor asked, looking into her eyes.

Her gaze briefly shifted away before returning to meet his.

"I can’t say," she replied, looking aside.

Victor smiled strangely at that answer.

It seemed he did possess a certain charm.

No wonder even Bella liked him.
