My Mother is the Villain

Chapter 27: Kill Him

Chapter 27: Kill Him

No one expected Margaret to appear.

Even though the people here had seen her many times, they still couldn’t help but feel amazed every time she showed up.

There were countless legendary figures out there, yet most of them had been defeated by this woman—someone born and raised in this very city.

Why did she appear... and even drag Lukas back?

People exchanged glances, a sense of dread creeping into their hearts.

Nothing good ever came when this woman made a move.

Under everyone’s gaze, she took out a black chain-like necklace with a small skull pendant.

It was... the skull of a pig.

"Victor, you’re still too soft. To think you would let go of a potential enemy. Do you even realize that in the final stage of the battle for the World Crown, human lives and emotions hold no value? Even the kindest individuals will slaughter their enemies without hesitation, because the World Crown will not choose anyone as long as half of the candidates remain alive while still desiring it."

Victor was startled to be scolded. He frowned slightly before asking, "What are you planning to do?"

It wasn’t that he hadn’t reflected on her words—but her sudden appearance clearly wasn’t just to lecture him.

Before answering, Margaret tossed the skull-pendant necklace toward him.

"Keep it. It’s from a close friend of mine from the Ancient Demon Continent. It’s called the Necklace of Hate. It can seal the souls of the dead who hate you and absorb their hatred and resentment, turning it into power you can use to strengthen yourself."

Victor was genuinely surprised.

"In the Ancient Demon Continent, there are people with ordinary cultivation but terrifying combat strength just by relying on the Necklace of Hate. The souls sealed within it remain conscious and will witness your life. In the end, their hatred and resentment will only grow stronger."

After saying that, Margaret shifted her gaze toward Ella.

"Victor was never interested in you from the start—even if you were a virgin. He was just playing around. But I’ll give you a chance to follow me and receive my training... as long as you kill that man right here."

She pointed at Lukas.

The chance to follow Margaret and be trained by her was something extraordinary.

Emma was a clear example—still young, yet already a Paragon.

For the Agron Clan, this could be far better than simply making Ella Victor’s concubine.

Ella’s face lit up for a brief moment... but immediately turned pale when she heard the condition.

Kill Lukas?

It was far too cruel.

Even the members of the Agron Clan were stunned.

This was not something they could easily force her to do.

"You... you mother and son are truly demons," Lukas cursed.

"Even demons fear me," Margaret replied coldly before looking back at Ella.

"If you can’t do it, go back home. I won’t give you another chance. You should understand—if you stand by my side, I might one day ask you to kill even your own parents... or slaughter your entire clan."

The mayor trembled, his face flushed with fear.

Of course, he understood—such a fate would only come if they dared oppose her.

Ella stood frozen.

She was clearly struggling, questioning whether she could truly walk this path after everything that had happened.

Looking at Lukas, memories flooded her mind.

"Oh, and remember—your lover won’t truly die. The Necklace of Hate will seal his soul after you kill him. He may still have a chance to recover in the future," Margaret added suddenly.

Yes... not death.

Something worse than death.

"Ella, just do it. You must understand—in this world, there is no such thing as good or evil. Everything is about power. If you have power, then whatever you do is justified," the mayor finally spoke.

He had made his decision.

This opportunity... could not be missed.

At the very least, Ella could become a powerful Ancestor, someone who could support the clan for generations.

"No... I can’t..." Ella shook her head, finally managing to speak again.

She couldn’t do it.

It wasn’t that she had no desire... nor that she still cared for Lukas.

It was simply too much.

Who here could truly do such a thing?

"Hmph."

Margaret’s cold gaze swept across them, sending chills through the mayor and the entire Agron Clan.

Ella turned pale under that single look.

"Lady, please..." Ella pleaded.

"Two choices. Kill this man... or I will wipe you and your entire clan out right now."

Everyone fell silent.

Victor inwardly shook his head.

His mother wasn’t just cruel... she was a complete psychopath.

Perhaps she was doing all this simply to ensure Lukas died with the greatest possible hatred—maximizing the power of the Necklace of Hate.

But the real question was...

Who could stop her?

Rumble!

Thunder roared as dark clouds gathered, a violent storm covering the sky.

"You wretched girl—how dare you?!"

A furious roar echoed.

Within the storm stood an old man surrounded by raging lightning.

He seemed like the very embodiment of thunder itself—capable of destroying the world.

His aura suppressed the entire city.

"That’s Ancestor Hernandez from the Heavenly Lightning Sect," someone muttered.

"Lukas is his grandson."

"He’s a powerful ancestor."

"It’s useless. He’s no match for Lady. He came driven by emotion."

"Hahaha! Hernandez, how about I keep you company?"

A booming laugh echoed from within the city.

BOOM!

Another old man appeared—tall and muscular, his body resembling solid rock. Suddenly, his form expanded massively, growing larger than Russell City itself.

A gigantic hammer, even larger than mountains, appeared in his hand.

He swung it toward the storm.

BANG!

The storm was struck and blasted far away.

"You stone brat—how dare you?!" Ancestor Hernandez roared in fury.

"Who are you calling a brat? You’re only a few eras older than me. You should start calling me senior!" Master Stone retorted before charging forward.

The two figures clashed, their battle quickly moving far away from Russell City—yet its impact remained terrifyingly clear.

Shockwaves rolled in continuously, though thankfully blocked by the city’s formation. Otherwise, the city would have already been reduced to ruins.

Everyone let out a breath of relief.

When giants fight... ants are always the first to die.
